Allen N. Burney

Allen Nathaniel Burney, 49, of Sherwood died Saturday, Aug. 28.
Graveside funeral services and interment were Tuesday at the Trafalgar cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Jason W. McDonald

Jason Wayne McDonald died Aug. 23, 2004.
He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his parents, Pat Holland of Sherwood and Thomas McDonald of Galveston, Texas; sister, Angela Lauderdale of Jacksonville; two daughters, Macey and Evonne McDonald.

Funeral services were held at Huson Funeral Home Chapel, Sherwood, with burial at Arkansas Memorial Gardens (North Little Rock).

Harold Frank Moody

Harold Frank Moody, age 86, of Sherwood, died Aug. 25, 2004.

He served in the Navy 1941-1945, on aircraft carriers, and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of North Little Rock First United Methodist Church and the Triune Sunday School Class. He was a retired communications technician with Texas Eastern Pipeline Company.

He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Steward of Judsonia; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sept. 1, at North Little Rock United Methodist Church with burial at Arkansas State Veterans cemetery in North Little Rock. Roller-Owens Funeral Home, North Little Rock, was in charge.

Memorials may be made to North Little Rock First United Methodist Church, The Triune Sunday School Class, 6701 JFK. Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark., 72116; or Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th, Little Rock, Ark., 72204.

Jimmy D. Keathley

Jimmy Dale Keathley, 62, of North Little Rock died Aug. 25, 2004.

He was a member of Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene; a retired Captain with the North Little Rock Fire Department with 33 years of service and a member of Fireman’s Union Local 35.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gail Keathley; two sons, James Brent Keathley of Mayflower and Shannon Wade Keathley of Sherwood; father, Tom H. Keathley of Little Rock; mother, Arkie Sheppard of North Little Rock; three sisters, Betty Goodson of Sherwood, Carolyn Hobbs of Estell Springs, Tenn., and Lisa Hicks of Little Rock; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene, 116 Pine St., North Little Rock, Ark. 72114.

Funeral services were Saturday at Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene with burial in Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Wanda J. Ridgeway

Wanda Jean Ridgeway of Sherwood died Aug. 30, 2004, at the age of 75.
She attended Victory Baptist Church and was a member of Sylvan Hills Baptist Church. She was retired from Beach Abstract in Little Rock where she had worked for 25+ years as a bookkeeper.

Survivors include her children, Debbie Treadway, and Tom Ridgeway; and four grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the American Heart Association, 909 W. 12th St., Little Rock, Ark. 72201.

Wanda J. Ridgeway

Wanda Jean Ridgeway, 75, of Sherwood died Aug. 30, 2004.

Wanda attended Victory Baptist Church and was a member of Sylvan Hills Baptist Church. She was retired from Beach Abstract in Little Rock where she had worked for 25+ years as a bookkeeper.

Survivors include her children, Debbie Treadway and Tom Ridgeway; four grandchildren.

A gathering of friends and family was held Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004 at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home.

A graveside service was held Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 at Rest Hills Memorial Park with Reverend Pastor Danny Fudge officiating.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the American Heart Association, 909 W. 12th St., Little Rock, AR 72201.

Harold E. McDonald

Harold Eugene McDonald, age 76, formerly of North Little Rock, died at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock of cancer.

He attended Little Rock High School, Arkansas Tech University and was a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas.

Gene was a WWII Naval veteran, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Baptist Faith. He spent 27 years with the North Little Rock School District beginning his career teaching at Lynch Drive, serving as principal at Riverside and most notably Levy Elementary School. He retired in 1989 while serving at Boone Park.

Survivors include his mother, Irma Thomas of Perry County Nursing Home, daughter and son-in-law Gina and Glen Wilkins of Perryville, four grandchildren, Brian Jess Henley and Alison Danley Wilkins of Perryville, Glen Alan Wilkins of Little Rock and Marie Suzanne Henley of Dallas, TX.

Graveside services were Aug. 27, 2004, at Roselawn cemetery with Rev. Gordon Morgan officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth.
Memorials may be made to the James R. Faulkner Scholarship Fund, c/o Perryville High School, 825 Ash Street, Perryville, AR 72126.

Tiara Teralesia King

Tiara Teralesia King, 7, Jacksonville, died Aug. 21, 2004.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Terri and Cedric Holloway of Jacksonville; two brothers, Kelvin Draper of Conway and Montrel Milum of Paris; four sisters, TyShayla Pillow of Jacksonville, Jasmine King of Conway, Ciara King (twin sister) and Essence King of Jacksonville; grandmothers, Bernice Lester of Conway and Carolyn King of Helena; great-grandparents, Elizabeth Johnson of Little Rock, Mattie Weaver of Helena, Thelma King of Helena, and Thomas Charles King Jr. of Cincinnati, OH.

Funeral service was Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Little Rock. Burial was at Robinson cemetery in Conway. Services under the direction of Premier Funeral Home, Little Rock.

Mary Jane Lewis

Mary Jane Lewis, age 80, of Sherwood, died June 5, 2004.
She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Rodney B. Lewis of Sherwood; daughter - Judith Jane Lewis Westberg of Camp Verde, Ariz.; brothers - Roy L. Tenney of Evansville, Ind., Ray D. Tenney of Bridgeport, Ill., John R. Tenney of Hanthorne, Wis., Clifford D. Tenney of Escondido, Calif.; sisters - June B. Tenney Gudgel of Evansville, Ind., Della Mae Tenney Travis of Lehigh Acres, Fla,; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Kernodle Funeral Chapel, Wynne, June 9, with burial in Lewis cemetery, Hickory Ridge,
The family requests memorials be sent to Camp Aldersgate, 2000 Aldersgate Road, Little Rock.

Eva L. Kimbrell

Eva L. Kimbrell, 91, of Sherwood, died Saturday, June 5, 2004.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Funeral service was Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service was Tuesday in Union cemetery in Rye.
Survivors are three daughters, Joyce Campbell, Syble Bradley, and Nedia Bridges, all of North Little Rock.

Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association.

Frances McWilliams

Frances McWilliams, 90, of Sherwood died Thursday.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat Lewis of Fayetteville, and Barbara Young of Collierville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren ; and a brother, Tilden Bridges of White Hall.

Services were Monday at Robinson’s Chapel with interment in Memorial Park cemetery.

Memorials to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th St., Little Rock, Ark. 72204; or Indianhead Lake Baptist Church, 8601 Indianhead Drive, Sherwood, Ark., 72120.

J.W. Tyler

J.W. “Purr” Tyler, 75, of North Little Rock, died Friday, June 4, 2004.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the 82nd Airborne Division and 187th Regimental Combat Team. He attended Levy Baptist Church, and was a member of Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies of Little Rock, and was a recipient of Pillars of Solomon Award. He was also a Past Master, a Past State Rainbow Dad, Past Worthy Patron, Levy Chapter #577, Order of the Eastern Star; and served on the Advisory Board of Levy Rainbow Assembly. He received the Grand Cross of Color Degree from the Order of Rainbow for Girls, and the Demolay Cross of Honor.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Dancy Tyler; four daughters, Lynda Quick of Hamburg, Sandy Carpenter of Maumelle, Marilyn Scott of Sherwood, and C.J. Newton of Greenbrier; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were June 7, at Levy Baptist Church, North Little Rock, with burial at Edgewood Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Music Department, Levy Baptist Church, 3501 Pike Avenue, North Little Rock, AR 72118; or to the Department of Neurology, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 800 Marshall St., Little Rock, AR 72207.

Mrs. Winston Henry

Mrs. Winston Henry, age 98, of Sherwood, formerly of Batesville, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004.

Survivors include her daughter, Maxine Cook Warlick of Sherwood, formerly of Batesville; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were June 4, at Willis-Hays Funeral Chapel in Batesville, with burial at Oaklawn cemetery under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service.

Marjorie F. Whittaker

Marjorie Frances “Margie” Whittaker, 83, of North Little Rock died June 4, 2004.

She is survived by three children, Hope Troy of Sherwood, Nelson D. Whittaker of Rose Bud, and Larry W. Whittaker of Ward; one brother, Bill McGlothing of San Antonio, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was June 8, in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, North Little Rock with burial at National cemetery in Little Rock.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 909 W. 2nd Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72201 or the Alzheimer’s Association 10411 W. Markham, Suite 130, Little Rock, Ark. 72205.

Martha Bingham

Martha Bess Bingham, 86, of North Little Rock died June 5, 2004.
She was born in Lonoke County.

She was a member of the Caney Creek Baptist Church in the Pettus community in Lonoke County for 70 years. After she moved to North Little Rock, she joined Park Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Open Door Senior Adult I Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her son, John Biscoe Bingham; and 4 grandchildren.
Funeral services were June 8, at Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Interment was at Roselawn cemetery in Little Rock.

Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Donald Fallen

Donald Eugene Fallen, age 70 of Cabot, died June 3, 2004.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, and he retired after as a CMSgt from the position of Superintendent of the Little Rock Air Force Base Hospital in 1976. Following his military service, he established the first Family Support Center on Little Rock Air Force Base in 1986 and retired as director in 1997.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathleen; two sons, Danny and Dean; two daughters, Christine Anderson and Bernadette Puckett; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

A memorial service with military honors was held June 7, in the chapel of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Parish Hall Fund.

Arrangements under the direction of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
