Raymond V. Edwards
Raymond V. Edwards, 90, of Sherwood, died Saturday, April 26, 2003.
He is survived by one son, Ray Edwards of Sherwood; one daughter, Pasty Smith of Nash, Texas; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Tuesday, at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial was in Edgewood cemetery

Herman Maurice Hill
Herman Maurice Hill was born Jan. 12, 1943. He died April 23, 2003.
He practiced law for over 20 years.
Survivors are a daughter, Rory Elizabeth Embry, of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Velma M. Nunerley of Sherwood, Vivian Ellis of Austin, Texas, and Irma Jean Esters, of North Little Rock.
Service entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, Little Rock.

Tommie Mae Dailey
Tommie Mae Dailey, 84, of North Little Rock died April 29, 2003.
She was retired from the Arkansas Library Commission and was a member of Levy United Methodist Church and the Aldersgate Sunday School Class.
She is survived by son, Roger Dailey of North Little Rock; brother, Donald Johnson of El Paso; two sisters, Betty Sullivan of North Little Rock, Mary Edwards of Sherwood; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services, under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home were Thursday, May 1, at Levy United Methodist Church. Interment was at Edgewood Memorial Park.

Walter Keenihan
Walter Keenihan, 78, of Sherwood, died April 27, 2003.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lee Keenihan of Sherwood; son Rory Keenihan of Beebe; son Steven Beight of Little Rock; daughters Sandra Franecke of Little Rock and Kathryn Zachary of Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Lyle Denevan of Sioux Falls, S.D., and his sisters, Joyce Sandridge of Rapid City, S.D., and Mary Kalda of Sioux Falls, S.D.
He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. After the Navy he worked at Espey Printing in Rapid City, S.D. He moved to Hot Springs in the early 1960s where he was publisher of a newspaper. After moving to North Little Rock, he owned and operated Heritage Press and later Sherwood Printing Co. in Sherwood. He was owner of the Bellanca Aircraft distributorship in Arkansas. He was an active member of the Arkansas Arabian Horse Association, a member of the Arkansas American Legion and the Elks Club. In his later years he began and owned Kellogg Creek Arabians. He helped start Hearts and Hooves, a non-profit Therapeutic Riding Center for physically challenged children and adults. Upon his retirement, he donated his facility, Kellogg Creek Stables, to the Hearts and Hooves organization.
Memorials may be made in his name to Hearts and Hooves, 2304 Kellogg Acres Road, Sherwood, Ark. 72120.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 2 in the chapel at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Arkansas State Veterans cemetery in Sherwood with military honors.
A celebration of his life will follow at the Keenihan home in Sherwood.

Billie E. Wood
Billie E. Wood, of Sherwood, died March 5, 2002 at the age of 75.
He was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Sherwood. A Navy World War II Veteran and a Shriner, he was also a lifetime member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, a member of the Koen Hunting Club, a former member of the Old Gold 70+ Softball Team, and a Senior Olympic participant.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Holland Wood of Sherwood; two sons, Daniel R. Wood of Jacksonville and David E. Wood of Sherwood; one granddaughter; and a sister, Esther Lee Davenport of Jacksonville.
Funeral services were Friday, March 8, at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Sherwood.

Masako Gray
Masako Hirowatari Gray died March 3, 2002, at the age of 69.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Gray of Austin; her sons, Ronald A. Gray of Sherwood, and Roger O. Gray of North Little Rock; daughter, Ronda A. Kaufman of New Hope, Pa.; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Eizo Hirowatari and Akira Kuriama of the greater Toyko, Japan, area.
Services were Thursday, March 7, in Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel, North Little Rock.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Kidney Foundation, 4942 W. Markham Street, Little Rock, Ark.

Pauline Haile
Pauline Coffey Haile, formerly of North Little Rock, died Monday, March 4, 2002.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Magnolia.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Boaz of Magnolia, and Barbara Fronabarger of Madisonville, La.; sister, Jean Epperson of Sherwood; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 22, at 4 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Madison Beth Herbold
Infant Madison Beth Herbold of Sherwood died March 6, 2002, in North Little Rock.
She is survived by her parents, Jason and Micki Herbold; grandparents, Steve and Sandi Griffin, and John and Penny Herbold.
Graveside services were held Thursday at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle. Arrangements by Roller-Owens Funeral Home, North Little Rock.

John Boyce Capel
John Boyce Capel, 79, of Sherwood died March 7, 2002.
He was a deacon since 1963 and taught Sunday School for over 30 years. He served as treasurer of the North Little Rock Optimist Club and was a volunteer for Sylvan Hills Fire Department. In World War II he fought in the Battle of the Bulge with the Army Air Corps.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joanna Tabor Capel; two sons, Randy Capel, of Vilonia and Phil Capel of Sherwood; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial was in Bethel cemetery, Grant County.
Memorials may be made to the North Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 9816 Sylvan Hills Highway, Sherwood, Ark. 72116.

Frances Herndon
Frances Herndon, 91, of Sherwood, died March 6, 2002.
She is survived by seven grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She volunteered at Baptist Memorial Hospital for over 20 years.
Services were Tuesday at First Christian Church, with interment in Roselawn cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church.

Margie Brockinton
Margie V. Henderson Brockinton, 76, of Sherwood, died March 10, 2002.
She is survived by son, Jerry Brockinton of Sherwood; daughter, Shirley Head of North Little Rock; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Lynch View Missionary Baptist Church. She was retired from Teletype Corporation after 23 years of service. She was a member of Teletype “Retired” Pioneers for which she enjoyed making the Huggy Bears to take to area hospitals.
She was very active at Sherwood Senior Citizens Center of which she served on the Senior Citizens Committee. She also served her community by working at her Pulaski County Voting Precinct since 1986.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Lynch View Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Sumner cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Lynch View Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 800 Page Mill Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117 or Sherwood Senior Citizens Center, 2301 Thornhill Drive, Sherwood, Ark. 72120

Mickey McKee
Mickey McKee, 72, of Cabot, died Sunday, March 10, 2002.
Thompson-Wilson Funeral Homes of McCrory and Wynne were in charge of private family services.
He was a retired production manager from both Revere of Newport and Southern Coating and Nameplate of Sherwood. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and belonged to the Arkansas Bikers, Motorcycle Freedom and Arkansas Motorcycle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy McKee of the home; one daughter, Laurie Coe of Newport.
Memorials be made to the Jackson County or Pulaski County Humane Society.

Ruby Pearl Sanders
Ruby Pearl Sanders, 85, of Hot Springs, died Sept. 30, 2002.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, James Sanders of Sherwood; daughter, Judy Ellis of Hot Springs; five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sister, Wade Holder of McCrory ; two brothers, Vance Thomas of Gun Barrel, Texas, and Van Thomas of Livingston, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
