Deforest Bartholomew Jr.
DANVILLE — Deforest Bartholomew Jr., age 55, of Ola, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born in Long Island, N.Y., to the late Deforest and Nancy Lea Richardson Bartholomew.
He worked for Wayne Farms in Danville and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Plainview.
Survivors include his brother, Stephen Robert Bartholomew of Ola.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville.

Edward Cain
Edward Cain, 83, of Russellville died Friday, April 8, 2011, at his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1927, in Wisner, La., to George and Eva Cora Cater Cain.
He was a former truck driver for Arkansas Power and Light Company and was a supervisor for Quincy Soybean Company (originally Riceland Foods) in West Helena for 25 years.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Center Valley Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Earlene Cain; a brother, Rufus Cain; and a sister, Thelma Stacey.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Bridges; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bennie Ray and Harriett Cain of Russellville, Charles Eugene and Marsha Cain of Brinkley, and Richard Tommy Cain of Russellville; two step daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Larry Dillard of Van Buren, and Janet and Phil Proctor of Lawrenceville, Ga.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgar and Katherine Cain of Cave City, George Jr. and Joyce Cain of Dover, Roy and Shelby Cain of Russellville, and Billy Wayne and Millie Cain of Dover; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Louise Suggs of Delhi, La., and Myrlene and Eddie Cossey of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Chad, Adam and Lt. Eric Cain, Angela Burnett, Andrew Dillard and Evan and Lee Proctor; 10 great-grandchildren, Alec, Shayla, Emily, Briley, Hallee, Abbie, Chasity, Ashley, Donnie and Dakota; and numerous nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by his brother, the Rev. Roy Cain, and Rev. Mark White.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandson, Chad, Adam, Alec and Lt. Eric Cain, Andrew Dillard and Evan Proctor.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Center Valley Church of God, 1767 Center Valley Road, Russellville, Arkansas 72802.

Oranel Loveland
Oranel Delph Loveland, 81, of Appleton died Saturday April 9, 2011, in Leeton, Mo., with her family at her side.
She was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Chickasha, Okla.
She is survived by her husband, Millard Y. “Skeets” Loveland; her children, Judy Wallace, Buddy Loveland, David Loveland, Mark Loveland; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Appleton Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Appleton cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday.

Shirley Neal
Shirley Neal, 72, passed away on April 8, 2011, at her home. She was born April 30, 1938, in Escondido, Calif. to Omer and Ola Bankston Neal.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Her favorite saying was “pretty as a peach.”
She is survived by her families at Young House and Horizon and her caretaker, Vicki and Ernie Buckman and the boys.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Russell cemetery at Belleville. Open visitation will be Tuesday at Lemley Funeral Chapel in Atkins.

Shirley Faye Roberts
(March 3, 1953 - July 18, 2013)
Shirley Faye Roberts, 60, of Dover, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, July 18, 2013, in her home near Dover, Arkansas. She was born March 3, 1953 in Booneville, Arkansas to Joe and Bonnie Faye (Hester) Roberts.
She was a mother and homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She enjoyed garage sales, fishing, gardening, being out on the water especially the ocean, and spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Lucky Roberts and her parents before mentioned.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 22, 2013 at Carolan cemetery near Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Khristie Boren of Dover, Arkansas; two sons, Bruce Boren and wife Cosette of Dover, Arkansas and Gary Boren and wife Gail of Belleville, Arkansas; her companion, Steve Kirtley of Dover, Arkansas and his son, Stephen Kirtley of Nashville, TN. and his daughter, Sierra Kirtley of Russellville, Arkansas; one sister, Nancy Phillips and husband Tom of Subiaco, Arkansas; Bruce Roberts and wife Tammy of Booneville, Arkansas and Joe Roberts of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and eleven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Boren, Gary Boren, Trent Culwell, Stephen Kirtley, Josh Boren, James Boren.
The family will visit with friends from 1 - 3:00 P.M., Sunday afternoon at Roberts Funeral Home.

Floyd Sawdy III
Floyd Matthew “Skip” Sawdy III was born on Dec. 7, 1952, in Batalvia, N.Y., and passed away on April 2, 2011, at American Lake VA in Lakewood, Wash.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Sawdy of Russellville; brothers, Jerry, Ronnie, Mike and Roy Sawdy of Russellville; sister, Sherry Levin of New York; sons, Matt Sawdy of Lacey, Wash., and Luke Sawdy of Russellville; daughters, Sonya Whittenburg of Atkins and Brenda Tierson of Sodus, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and numerous extended family member and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. (1800 hours) on Thursday, April 14, 2011, 77 Union Grove Road West in Atkins.

Bobby Terwilliger
Bobby Allen Terwilliger, 79, of Russellville died Friday, April 8, 2011, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. The son of John and Vora Terwilliger, he was born April 10, 1931, in Sebastian County. He married Helen Rix on July 16, 1955, at East Lyme, Conn. He was a United States Navy Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a superintendent with Arkansas Nuclear One and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Second Baptist Church of Russellville, where he was an usher and former superintendent of the grounds and maintenance. He enjoyed gardening, wood working and fishing for exceptionally large catfish. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Irving Terwilliger; two sisters, Verba Knape, and Myra York.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Terwilliger of Russellville; one daughter, Cathy Terwilliger-Jones and husband Mark of Dyersburg, Tenn.; one son, David Terwilliger of Dover; five grandsons and two granddaughters; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Charles Terwilliger of Independence, Kan. and J.L. Terwilliger of Fort Smith; two sisters, Betty Kline of Florida and Nadine Harlan of Fort Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and family friends.
Funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m Tuesday at Humphrey Funeral Service. Rev. Jeff Cheatham will officiate. Burial will be at Fort Smith National cemetery in Fort Smith at 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Ezekiel Ritchie
Ezekiel Bartholomew Ritchie, infant son of Joseph Nathaniel and Chesley Nicole Smith Ritchie of Dardanelle, died Friday, April 8, 2011, at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. He is survived by two sisters, Annaley Burnetta Ritchie and Natalyn Nicole Ritchie, and his grandparents and great-grandparents.
Services and burial are private by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Viva Bolin
Viva “VJ” Bolin, 92, of Russellville died Friday, April 29, 2011, at Stella Manor Nursing Center. The daughter of Joseph A. and Nora Patterson Moore, she was born March 9, 1919, in Russellville. She was an Inspector for International Shoe Company for many years. VJ was a member of the Russellville Eastern Star and was a member of the Assembly of God church. She always enjoyed spending time at family gatherings, doing yard work, working in her garden and going to auctions. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Lee Bolin; son, Arthur Lee Bolin; two brothers, Ralph Moore and Dawson Moore.
VJ is survived by a daughter, Lana Perusse and husband Sonny of Russellville; three grandchildren, Brent Butler and wife Ronda of Siloam Springs, Laurie Geurin and husband Paul of Siloam Springs, and Steve Butler and wife Stephanie of Siloam Springs; seven great-grandchildren, Dustin and wife Hilary, Austin and wife Mandy, and Dillon Butler, Avery, Morgan and Cade Miller, and Amanda Butler, all of Siloam Springs; three siblings, Virginia Burnett and husband Heartsill of Atkins, David Moore and wife Bobbie of Russellville and Mary Maxine Ramsey of Fayetteville, N.C.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m., Thursday at Humphrey Chapel. Brother Blake Herren and Reverend Jim Huffman will officiate. Burial will be at Pisgah cemetery in Pottsville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Charles Duvall
Charles Duvall, 69, known to his loved ones as “Pop, ” left this world to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 1, 2011. He died at River Valley Medical Center surrounded by family. He was born May 11, 1941, in Atkins. He stayed in the Russellville area his entire life, where he met and married the love of his life, Mary Duvall, and raised their daughters.
Charles retired from the Russellville Rendering plant after 28 years. He was an avid fisherman who loved catfishing on the river. However, the greatest joys in his life where his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 47 years; their two daughters, Tammy Alexander and her husband Greg and Dawn Taylor and her husband Jim; five wonderful grandchildren, Shawnda Cook and her husband Chris, Mitchell Moore and his wife Jennifer, Chris Taylor, Jared Taylor and Dillon Moore; his 10 siblings, Johnny Duvall, Larry Duvall, Bill Duvall, Robert Duvall, Ronnie Duvall, Dianne Harris, Bet Ennis, Sue Taylor, Brenda Rivero and Karen Reddell; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Taylor, Patch Cook and Riley Cook; two honorary grandchildren, Kevin Brady and Tosha Palmer; and his best friends, Bob and Virginia Merritt.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Duvall.
Visitation will be conducted from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Humphrey Funeral Service. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
Rev. Robert O’Bryant will conduct the memorial ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday at Humphrey Funeral Service, where Charles’ nephews will act as pallbearers. All of the employees at the Russellville Rendering plant will be considered honorary pallbearers.
Charles and Mary will always be known for their generosity and caring hearts. They have always created a loving home for anyone in need and have become known as Pop and Granny to many over the years. He will be missed very much.

Bobby Golden
Bobby Earl Golden, 72, of Russellville died Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Veterans Administration Regional Medical Center in Little Rock. The son of Herman and Jewell Golden, he was born Sept. 30, 1938, in Lake Village. He was a United States veteran and the owner of Alligator Ray’s in Altus. He served as a Huey helicopter pilot, parachutist, instructor pilot, medical evacuation pilot and a pilot with the 1st Special Forces in Vietnam. His citations include the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. After Bobby retired, he enjoyed playing golf with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Larry Golden and Olen Golden.
Survivors include his two daughters, Tina Olson and husband Don of Russellville and Patricia Morgan and husband Vann of Mount Ida; three grandchildren, Christopher Olson and wife Lisa of Russellville and Kegan Morgan and Cameron Morgan of Mount Ida; one great-granddaughter, Grace Anne Olson of Russellville; step-grandson, Eli Shook; sister, Betty Rowland and husband Robert of Bryant; brother, Don Golden of Little Rock; and numerous friends and relatives.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Humphrey Chapel. Reverend Darrell Kobs will officiate. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans cemetery in North Little Rock at 1 p.m. Friday by Humphrey Funeral Service. Full military honors will be provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2238.

Onella Jones
Onella Laneer Jones, 85, of Clarksville died Monday, May 2, 2011.
She was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Clarksville to the late George Paul and Lee Richardson Laneer. She is the widow of Howard Jones.
She received her GED from Clarksville High School and worked in the Air Craft plant in California during WWII. She formerly worked at Fairway Market, Overbey I.G.A. grocery store, Clarksville Piggly Wiggly and as treasurer of Hays Chapel cemetery Association.
Survivors are two sons, Thomas L. Jones and wife Meredith Leigh of Little Rock, employees of the Arkansas Department of Health, and Dr. Neal Jones and wife Kathryn of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Adam Wade Jones of Little Rock, Lauren E. Jones and Chris Jones, both of Clarksville; and one great grandchild, William Cogan Jones of Little Rock.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
