C. T. Gann

LEPANTO -- C. T. Gann, age 67, of Lepanto died Sunday, Dec. 18, at his residence in Lepanto.

He was a Baptist and a truck driver for Bray Butane Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Magdaline Gann.

Survivors include one son, Randell Gann of Lepanto; one daughter, Mary Jane McGhee of Caraway; three brothers, "Fuzzy" Gann Jr., W.D. Gann and Johnny Kurron Gann, all of Lepanto; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Duffel officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dollar, Randy Dollar, Roger Hood, Kurron Turner, Earl Gann and Michael Turner.

Burial will follow in Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.

Memorials may be made to St. Bernard's Hospice Care or Hope Circle located in the NEA clinic.

Lewis Pierce

FLORAL -- Lewis Pierce, age 90, of Floral died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

He was born Nov. 1, 1915, at Floral to Rex and Addie Marcy Head Pierce. He was a farmer, a member of the Cornerstone #511 Free and Accepted Masons at Pleasant Plains and a member of the Floral Baptist Church at Floral.

Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Berkett Cemetery at Floral with John Stoner and Lyle Koon officiating.

Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.

No visitation is planned.

Millie J. Powell

TEXARKANA -- Mrs. Millie J. Powell, 89, died Sunday, Dec. 18, in Texarkana.

She was formerly of Caraway and the widow of Montie Powell.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

William Bobby Thomason

PARAGOULD -- William Bobby Thomason, 68, of Paragould, born Oct. 29, 1937, in Greene County, died Saturday at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, James 'Jimmy' and Margie Thomason of Mablevale; sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and David Singleton of Bloomfield, Mo.; nieces, Tammy Carpenter of Bryant, Sunny Loftin of Paragould, and Sabrina Skaggs Bloomfield; nephews, Kevin Singleton of Holland, Mich., Todd Singleton of Balleratt, Australia, and Kris Thomason of Mabelvale.

Bobby was a 1957 Greene County Tech graduate and retired from United Paint Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Edna Thomason.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Heath Funeral Home. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Methodist Cemetery, with the Rev. Ed Warner officiating.

Pallbearers are Jo Dan Loftin, Jim Skaggs, Kris Thomason, Daniel Loftin, Steve Carpenter and Kevin Singleton.

Faye Troxler Woods

CASH -- Faye Troxler Woods, 83, of Cash, died Saturday, Dec. 17, at her residence.

Born in Cash, she had lived in Craighead County her entire life. She was retired postmaster in Cash and a member of the Cash Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Eastern Star at Grubbs years ago.

Survivors include one son, Gary Woods of Cash.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Woods; her parents, William and Ida Arnold Troxler; five brothers; and three sisters.

Active pallbearers include Jerry Troxler, Paul Hall, Robert Hall, Phil Cullison, Hal Halmart and Bill Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will include John Petro, Jerry Sharp, O.C. Johnson, Taresa Blalock, Paul Bishop, Cooter Farmers, Farris Wortham, Junior Pate, Ronny Jones and Ike McMeans.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m.Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel, with Herbert Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m.today at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Tom Bryant

JONESBORO -- Tom Calvin "T.C." Bryant, 74 of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Dec. 21, in St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was born at Cash and retired from the Navy, moving from Millington, Tenn., to Jonesboro in 1972.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Etta Irene Bryant; Roy Summers; and a brother.

Survivors are his wife, Juanita Bryant of the home; sons and daughters-in-laws, Rex and Michell Bryant of Pensacola Fla., Michael and Lisa Bryant of Jonesboro, Anthony and Brenda Bryant of Jonesboro, Tommy and Deborah Bryant of Lawrenceville, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and DeeDee Smith, Brookhaven, Miss., Karen and Mike Watson of Brookland; two brothers, Sam Summers of Bartlettsville, Okla., and Mark Summers of West Memphis; two sisters, Nila "Sis" Teague of Garden City, Mich., and Glenda Gates of Tuckerman; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Glenn Hurst officiating, with burial to follow in Gibson Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The United States Navy Honor Guard will serve as active pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are Dr. Rick Tate and Dr. Jeff Cohen.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Emerson Funeral Home.

Myrtle Bufford

MOUNTAIN HOME -- Myrtle Bufford, 72, of Mountain Home and formerly of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at her home.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro and had worked in the nursery department from 1978 until 2000.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Parker W. Bufford; her parents, Barry and Mary Odom; two sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Harvey Bufford and Jan Holt of Oxford, and Dr. Phillip and Sherrie Bufford of Gassville; a daughter, Patricia Williams of Jonesboro; and grandchildren Lonna Bufford of Little Rock, Leah Bufford and Jacob Bufford of Gassville, Holly Bufford of Franklin, Tenn., Daniel Williams of Jonesboro, Lori Williams of Mountain Home, and Janna and Chance Simpson of Paragould.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jerry Muckensturm officiating and burial to follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Doug Trenthem, George DuBoise, Steve Hendrix, Tommy Lindsey, Thomas Howard, Jimmy Banks, Chance Simpson and Josh Boaz.

Honorary pallbearers will include George Redwine, Vance Null Sr., William Moss Jr., and Al McCullar.

Visitation will be from 5--7 p.m. today at Emerson Funeral Home.

Edith Alma Chilcutt

PARAGOULD -- Graveside services for 93 year old Edith

Alma Chilcutt, who died Dec. 21 at Greene Acres Nursing Center in Paragould, will be Friday Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. in the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with James Brown officiating.

Visitation will begin Friday at 10 a.m. in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Chilcutt, and her parents, Napoleon Grissom and Senia.

Survivors include a niece and nephew, caregivers, Roy and Margie Davenport, the 100 Hall of Greene Acres Nursing Home friends and her church family of the Second and Walnut Church of Christ.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Sample, Frank Hyde Jr., Dick Mitchell, and Roy Davenport.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Second and Walnut Church of Christ.
