Stephen Vaughn
Stephen Vaughn, 21, of Dardanelle, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
The son of Lawrence Vaughn Jr. and Cheryl Lynn Terry Roberts, he was born May 18, 1985, in Russellville. He was a musician and was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elton Johnson.
He is survived by his father, Lawrence Vaughn Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Dardanelle; his mother, Cheryl Roberts and husband, David, of Dardanelle; one brother, Christopher Vaughn of Russellville; two sisters, Chelsea McNeely and husband, Mike, of Dardanelle, and Lauren Roberts of Dardanelle; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Shirley Vaughn of Dardanelle, and Joyce Prichard of Russellville; maternal grandparents, Loyd and Marguerite Terry of Dardanelle, and Euel and Elizabeth Roberts of Russellville; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; one nephew, and many friends.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville with Brother Wylie Jones officiating. Burial will be in Brearley cemetery at Dardanelle under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Glenda Mae Lawson
December 4, 1946 - December 9, 2011
Glenda Mae Lawson, 65, of Cabot, died Friday, December 9, 2011. She was born December 4, 1946 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Howard (Sr.) and Nadine Johnson Ballew, She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Cabot and formerly a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She loved trout fishing, playing Bingo with her friend, Phyllis, and spending time with her family and friends.
Glenda is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bill Lawson of Cabot, her children, Ronald Pickard of Cabot, Jimmie and his wife, Holly Lawson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Kelly and her husband, Edward Glenn Adcock of Cabot and Holly Farley of St. Ann, Missouri, seven special grandchildren, Brittany Seal, Blake Adcock, Zack Barber, Gracie and Jake Lawson, and Nicollete and Micollete Farley, one great grandson, Maddox Seal, and one brother, Howard Ballew, Jr and his fiance’, Sharlie Knight of Doniphan, Missouri.
Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2011 in the Chapel of Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., December 13, 2011 at the funeral home, with Daniel McDougal officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Arkansas Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, P.O. Box 251167, Little Rock, Arkansas 72225. Arrangements by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.

Fern Wood
DANVILLE — Fern Lee Wood, 65, of Danville died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
She was born Jan. 12, 1941, at Chickalah Mountain to Newman Ethridge and Lillie Jean Horn Sugg. She retired after 30 years as an administrative assistant to the county supervisor of Farmers Home Administration-Rural Development and she was a member of Danville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Bill Bob Wood of Danville; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sandra Wood of Rogers; sisters, Mildred Allen of Belton, Mo., and Pauline Patton of Charleston, Mo.; grandson, Ronnie Vaughn of Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Kaden, Allison and Madison Vaughn, all of Rogers.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Danville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Sullinger and the Rev. Benny Harmon officiating. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Wednesday.

Betty Jackson
Betty L. Jackson, 79, a resident of Hector, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Fort Walton Beach, Fla., while visiting her son and family.
She was born June 5, 1928, to Oscar and Louise Kinnard Mittlebuscher. She was a retired beautician and a member of the Hector Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. “Jay” Jackson; a son, Robert Jay Jackson; her stepmother, Vida Belle Lynch; and three brothers.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, John David Jackson of Hector, Jimmy Dale and Neritza Jackson of Navarre, Fla., and James Larry and Vickie Jackson of Kernersville, N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Joyanne and Dennis Ross of Kansas City, Mo.; four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, Earl and Ruby Jackson, Claude and Frances Jackson, Elmer Jackson and Naomi Jackson of Russellville, Dimple Jackson of London and Melvin and Bobbie Jackson of Dardanelle; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Dean Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park by Shinn Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 6-7:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Bruce Boyd
Bruce D. Boyd, 45, of Pottsville, died Thursday, May 6, 2008, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
Born June 24, 1962, in Searcy, he was the son of Leroy and Gwyn Meares Boyd. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandson, Nathanal Furr.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kristola Boyd of Pottsville; two sons, Brandon Boyd of Pottsville and Joshua Boyd of Atkins; daughter, Cortney Covey of Russellville; grandchildren Alexandria Boyd, Gavon Covey and London Darter; brothers Dan Boyd of Russellville, Kenneth Boyd of Waveland and Steve Boyd of Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 470 Narrow Road, Pottsville.
Memorial arrangements will be announced by the family.

Wayne Henson
DANVILLE — Gail Wayne Henson, 54, of Danville died Friday, May 2, 2008.
He was born Oct. 18, 1953, in Catler, Ill., to Marion Woodrow and Irene Isaballe McCrary Henson.
Survivors include his wife, Armandina Garza Henson of Van Buren; children Amanda Henson and Jason Wayne Henson of Marshville, Mo., Keith Henson and Stephanie Geralds of Marrissa, Ill., and Valeria Garza of Van Buren; brothers Joseph Henson of Marrissa, Ill., and Marion Henson of Percy, Ill.; a sister, Louise Pfeiffer of Easton, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Cornwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford Davis officiating. Burial will be at Salem cemetery in Plainview. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8 tonight.

Mary Carpenter
Mary S. Simetkosky Carpenter, 92, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was born March 18, 1915, in Chisholm, Minn.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

George Williamson
George R. Williamson, 83, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Pottsville, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at his son’s home in Arlington.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Humphrey Chapel. Burial will be in Bowden cemetery at Pottsville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Ida M. Tanner
Ida Mae “Bea” Tanner, age 81, of Russellville, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008.
The graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Adan Gomez
DARDANELLE — Adan Cortes Gomez, infant son of Martin and Ana Lucia Gomez Cortes, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Iban Cortes Gomez; a sister, Mary Anna Cortes; paternal grandparents, Francisco Cortes and JoBa Ocanpo; and maternal grandparents, Antonio and Rosa Gomez.
Cremation arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.

Terry Hiett
DARDANELLE — Terry Lee Hiett, 54, of Centerville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was born June 29, 1954, to Winston and Berneice Hiett of Witts Springs. He was employed by Bibler Brothers Lumber Co. He was preceded in death by his father, Winston Hiett; and a grandson, Adam Christopher Collins.
Survivors include his mother, Berneice Hiett of Dardanelle; wife of 29 years, Annette Hiett of Centerville; two daughters, Tracey Kirk of Dardanelle and April Hiett of Centerville; two granddaughters, Haley and Britney Kirk of Dardanelle; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Sonny and Phyllis Hiett of Bruno, Danny and Dottie Hiett of Witts Springs, Ronny and Brenda Hiett of Marshall, Dwight and Maureen Hiett of Prairie Grove, and Mark and Elaine Hiett of Dardanelle; and several nephews and nieces.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Pisgah cemetery in Pottsville with the Rev. Clellan Tilley officiating. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Randall Hiett, Robert Hiett, Greg Collins, Patrick Hiett, Matt Laroe and Billy Noblett.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill Cagle, Nathan Kirk, Terry Freeman and Mitch Emberson.

Jackie Hurst
Jackie Hurst, 29, of Russellville died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at UAMS in Little Rock.
The daughter of Rocky and Claudette Ingram Hooker, she was born Dec. 23, 1978, in Farmington Hills, Mich. She married William Hurst on April 10, 2004, at Taylor, Mich. She was a member of the Mountain View Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed wood crafts, music and singing.
Survivors include her husband, William “Wilber” Hurst of Russellville; her parents, Rocky and Claudette Hooker of Michigan; one sister, Jennifer Lutzen and husband, Mike, of Michigan; three brothers, Chris Hooker and wife, Michele, Gary Hooker and Michael Hooker, all of Michigan; five nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Humphrey Chapel. The Rev. Hank Duvall will officiate. Burial will be at Hudson cemetery at Moreland under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
