Katherine Montez Moody, age 77, a resident of Russellville, AR, died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at home in Russellville, AR. She was born on January 21, 1925 in Santa Barbara, CA, to George and Beatrice Barr Thompson. She was a retired Quality Control Technician and a member of Nichiren Shoshu Daibezan Myogyoji Temple, West Chicago, Illinois. Kate is survived by 2 Sons, David (& Cheryl) Moody, Russellville, Arkansas; Fletcher Moody; 1 Grandson, Devin Moody, Russellville, Arkansas; 2 Aunts, Myra Haines, Baxter Springs, Kansas; Pearl Garrett, Baxter Springs, Kansas; and a Cousin James Barr, of California.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Humphrey Funeral Service. Services will be held at a later date.

Gerry Murdock

Gerry Murdock, a resident of Russellville, AR, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at her home. She was born at Havana, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Henry and Ruth Chappell. Mrs. Murdock was a retired Clerk from Arkansas Nuclear One and was a member of First Baptist Church of Russellville. Gerry is survived by her Son, Dawayne Murdock, Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Daughters, Debbie Meyers, Russellville, Arkansas; Pam Williams, Divide, Colorado; 8 Grandchildren, Brothers, Herman Chappell, Russellville, Arkansas; Hoyt Chappell, San Jose, California; Sisters, Imogene Lowery, Danville, Arkansas; Helen James, Russellville, Arkansas; Johnnie Tapp, Russellville, Arkansas; Marie Brasher, Havana, Arkansas; Lil Mounts, Ashdown, Arkansas; and the Children's Father, James Murdock, Russellville, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Dr. Stephen P. Davis. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Monday at Humphrey Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Benevolance Fund, 210 South Denver Street, Russellville, Arkansas.

Buddy Bocksnick
Buddy Bocksnick, 83, a resident of Dover, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville.
A son of the late John Henry and Matilda Erna Clemens Bocksnick, he was born May 6, 1928, in Augsburg. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Augsburg where he served as an elder. He was a lifetime member and served as a board member for the Farm Bureau and was a member of the River Valley Antique Machinery Club.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Betty Jean Louthan Bocksnick; four sons and three daughters-in-law, John Louis and Joyce Bocksnick of Willow Spring, N.C., Jim and Patricia Bocksnick of Dover, Jack and Charlene Bocksnick of Dover and Jerry Bocksnick of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ricky Jones of Atkins; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at the Shinn Chapel, with Pastor Thom Lakso officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Earl Schrock, Demian Schrock, Rusty Dorn, Brett Graves, James McWilliams and Robert “Junior” Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the River Valley Antique Machinery Club, Tom Willis, Lawrence Steuber, Edwin Steuber, Bob McAlister, Edwin Shinn, and special pallbearers are his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Augsburg Community Nature Trails, P.O. Box 161, London, AR 72847.

Charles R. Parker

Charles R. Parker, age 65, a resident of Russellville, AR, formerly of Salinas, California, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. He was born on October 25, 1936 in Russellville, AR, to Woodrow and Bonnie (Henderson) Parker. He married Wanda J. Heath on July 26, 1957 at Salinas, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Parker; half-brother, Finis Wayne Parker, and 1 sister, Lucrita Parker. Mr. Parkeris survived by his Wife, Wanda J. Parker, Russellville, AR; 2 Sons, Brian Parker, Salinas, California; Aaron Parker, Salinas, California; 2 Daughters, Yvonne Parker, Roseville, California; Charlene Eddie, Folsom, California; 7 Grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Kathleen Haskell, Kimberling City, Missouri; Barbara Foncannon, San Jose, California; and Mother, Bonnie Dodd, Kimberling City, Missouri.
Graveside service and burial will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 1, 2002 at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville, AR, officiated by Rev. Louis Yendrek and Rev. Jesse B. Rye. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Mrs. Jeff Mobley, Memorial Chairman, 225 Skyline Drive, Russellville, AR 72802.

Veta Wynn Petersen

Veta Wynn Petersen, age 90, a resident of Russellville, AR, formerly of San Jose, California, died Sunday, March 17, 2002 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. She was born on September 9, 1911 in Hollister, OK, to Charles and Clara Belle (Mattox) Wynn. She was the widow of Holgar Petersen and was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Flo Himes, Jane McKnight & Thelma Johnson; 3 brothers, James Wynn, Bob Wynn & Chester Wynn. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Veta is survived by a Daughter, Kristine (& Roger) Maly, Las Vegas, Nevada; Grandson, Brett K. Maly, Las Vegas, Nevada; Sister, Lorene Van Sickle, San Jose, California; Nephew, Don (& Sherry) Wynn, London, AR; Nephew, Brian Wynn, Russellville, AR; Niece, Tracy (& Scott) Savage, Russellville, AR; as well as Numerous other family members.

Clarence E. Pyburn

Clarence E. Pyburn, age 80, a resident of Ola, AR, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at his home in Ola, AR. He was born on May 26, 1921 in Russellville, AR, to Allan and Celia (Brumley) Pyburn. He was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Allan Pyburn; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a United States Army Veteran of WW II. Clarence was an avid reader, enjoyed all sports especially baseball and truly enjoyed family get-togethers. Mr. Pyburn is survived by 2 Sons, Kenneth Wade Pyburn, Casa, AR; Edward Bartley Pyburn, Ola, AR; 2 Daughters, Elizabeth Ann Owens, Ringling, Oklahoma; Linda Carol Ramey, Springdale, AR; 11 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother, Raymond Pyburn, Las Vegas, Nevada; 1 Sister, Ruby McGuire, Dardanelle, AR; Wife, Virgie Mott Pyburn, Ola, AR.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2002 at the First Baptist Church at Ola, AR, officiated by Rev. Rick Balentine. Burial will be at Sandlin cemetery at Ola, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Thursday at Humphrey Funeral Home in Ola.

Milburn Isom
Milburn Lee “Bud” Isom, 85, a resident of Russellville, formerly of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He was born on May 15, 1926, at Morrilton to Milburn and Sarah Effie Jones Isom. He grew up and went to school in Pine Bluff, where he graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1946. He worked at the Pine Bluff Boy’s Club for 44 years where he served as director for several years. He loved all sports, was a true Razorback fan and was a member of the Hawley Memorial United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bernice Tuck Isom; and a special nephew, John E. Jehlen.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Ellen Jehlen and Ida Chambliss, both of Russellville; a step-son, Ross Tuck and his wife, Vickie, of Victoria, Canada; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews, Jordan Jehlen of Guy, Carol Jehlen of Russellville, Mike, Lindi and Hayden Wade, all of Jonesboro, David, Jessica, Drake and Brody Morris, all of Russellville; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Graceland cemetery in Pine Bluff with the Rev. Roy Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Memorials may be made to the Seabrook Y.M.C.A., 6808 South Hazel Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603 or the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Pine Bluff.

Pauline Petray Redmond

Pauline Petray Redmond, age 81, a resident of Russellville, AR, formerly of Texas, died Thursday, March 7, 2002. She was born on July 2, 1920 in Russellville, AR to Guy and Lois Petray. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Redmond; her parents, Guy & Lois Petray; a step-father, Connie Hamilton; a sister & brother-in-law, Jewel & Thelbert Wade; brother-in-law, Tommy Weir; Nephew, Randy Weir; brother & sister-in-law, Don & Ollie Petray. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kathy & the staff at Russellville Nursing Center, the 4th floor nursing & care staff at St. Mary's Hospital, Dr. Monfee, the McCready's, Talina Kelley, the VanNort's, as well as friends and neighbors for their loving support. Burial will be at Pisgah cemetery at Pottsville, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Tommy Reppond

Tommy Reppond, age 74, a resident of Dover, AR, died Friday, March 29, 2002 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. He was born on January 5, 1928 in Warren, Arkansas, to Tommy and Marcie Myrtle (Level) Reppond. Mr. Reppond retired with 32 years of service with ConAgra. He was preceded in death by one brother, Sam Reppond; and two sisters, Bea Williams and Hattie Hamby. Tommy is survived by his Wife, Wanda Reppond, Dover, Arkansas; 3 Daughters, Judy (& Tommy) McClure, Dardanelle, Arkansas; Linda (& Lee) McClernon, Russellville, Arkansas; Patricia (& Ralph) Barefield, Dardanelle, Arkansas; 8 Grandchildren, Charmane Hodges, Crystal Alverson, Stacy Thompson, Charlie George, Tim Gist, Sarah Barefield, Johnny Barefield, Richard Standridge; 11 Great- grandchildren; Sister, Sandra (& Gary) Bowman, Novelty, Missouri; as well as several Nieces & Nephews.
Graveside Funeral service and burial will be 2 P.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at the Brearley cemetery at Dardanelle, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Opal Ray Pledger
Opal Ray Pledger, 99, of Morganton, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care in Valdese, N.C.
He was born Jan. 10, 1912, in Logan County to William Asa and Susie Wilkins Pledger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ercie Marie Gray Pledger; a son, Willie Ray “Bill” Pledger; and a grandson, Mark William Pledger.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Caroll Pledger; a granddaughter, Susan Janean Dupuis; four great-grandchildren, Christal Michelle Abernathy, Melissa Dawn Rogers, Joseph Jeremy “JJ” Dupuis and Samantha Marie Pledger; and seven great-great-grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Dupuis, Amberle Barber, McKinzie Nicole Feimster, Dalton Thomas Rogers, Skyler Douglas Dupuis, Joseph Ray “J.R.” Dupuis and Lydia Julianna-Marie Dupuis.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Havana Assembly of God, officiated by the Rev. Bob Caldwell.
Burial will be in the Havana cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service in Russellville.
Memorials may be made to the Havana Assembly of God, P.O. Box 43, Havana, AR 72842.

Robbie Loretta Logan
(February 4, 1926 - March 10, 2013)
Robbie Loretta Logan, 87, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at her home. She was born February 4, 1926 in Weinert, Texas to the late Aubrey and Martha (Taylor) Harrison. She moved to Booneville when she was eleven years old.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Grayson Baptist Church. She judged many home economics projects at the county fair. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, antiquing, shopping at TJ Maxx and annual vacations to Mazatlan, Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her husband Pete Logan, her sister, Nita Severe and brothers, Loyd and Floyd Harrison.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Bud Davis cemetery in the Grayson Community near Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Cathy and husband Lee Ligon of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; three sons, Garry Logan of Booneville, Arkansas, Patrick Logan and wife Audrey of Booneville, Arkansas, Grady Logan and wife Sandy of San Marcos, California; grandsons, Ryan Logan, Blake Logan and wife Sandra, Daniel Ligon and wife Kristy, and Levi Logan; granddaughters, Katie and husband Brian Vining, Maizie Logan; three great grandchildren, Marianna and Zachary Ligon, Lorelei Vining; three sisters, Jewell Porter, Naomi Crowley and Wanda Partain all of Booneville, Arkansas; good friends Tina Reid and Jerry and Jean Gadbury and her faithful puppy, Lola.
The pallbearers will be Grady Logan, Ryan Logan, Blake Logan, Lee Ligon, Daniel Ligon, Garry Logan, Levi Logan, and Pat Logan.
The family will visit with friends from five to seven Wednesday evening at Roberts Funeral Home.

Barbara Louise Calvert Sisco
Barbara Louise Calvert Sisco, age 80, a resident of Russellville, AR, formerly of Searcy, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. She was born on January 14, 1922 in Braggs, Oklahoma, to Willie and Eunice Lee (Mathews) Hair. She was a homemaker and a member of Harding Place Church of Christ at Searcy, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by by two husbands, Walter J. Calvert and Virl Pittman Sisco; two brothers, Herman and Dwight Hair; and three sisters, Joyce Schnerre, Lucille Hair, and Bessie Ruth Hair. Barbara is survived by 1 Son James "Jim" (& Dean) Calvert, Campbell, Texas; 2 Daughters, Linda Sue (& Dale "Pat") Patterson, Ft. Worth, Texas; Cathy Jo (& Buddy Earl) Montgomery, North Little Rock, AR; 1 Step-Son Harold (& Beverly) Sisco, Tampa, Florida; 1 Step-Daughter, Shirley Vaughn, Mobile, Alabama; 8 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Brother, Forbin (& Billie) Hair, Muskogee, Oklahoma; 1 Brother-in-Law, Bill Schnerre, Fayetteville, Arkansas; 5 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Humphrey Funeral Service, 2801 West Main St. Russellville, Arkansas.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at Harding Place, at Searcy, Arkansas, with Bill Lambert, S.F. Timmerman and Alan Isom officiating.
Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday at Fort Gibson National cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to Harding Place Church of Christ at Searcy, Arkansas.

Joseph D. Cook
Joseph D. Cook, age 56, a resident of Dover, AR, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at. He was born on June 22, 1946 in Hector, to Joe and Arvena Crouch Cook. He married Cook Donna S. Lessig on June 14, 1997 at Appleton, Arkansas. He worked for over 20 years as a press operator with Ladish. He was a United States Army Veteran of VietNam Era. He was a member of National Rifle Association and a member of Second Baptist Church where he attended Larry Morell's Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by a wife, Patsy Linton Cook and three grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Donna S. Cook of Hector, AR; two sons, Joe Don Cook of Appleton, AR and Daniel Cook of Appleton, AR; a daughter, Jolene Coley of Russellville, AR; three step daughters, Sandy Brooks of White Hall, AR, Ladona Fay of Appleton, AR and Rebecca Molloy of Appleton, AR; Two brothers, Mack Cook of Hector, AR and Kenneth Cook of Jerusalem, AR; One sister, Wanda Gray of Atkins, AR; two step daughters, Dawn Rudder of Clarksville, AR and Tara Whitley of Dover, AR; three grandsons; five step Grandchildren and one step great granddaughter.
Funeral service will be !0:00 am Thursday, August 1, 2002 at the Walnut cemetery in Hector, officiated by Rev. David McLemore. Burial will be under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Flossie Lualla Dobbs
(August 20, 1927 - July 7, 2013)
Flossie Lualla Dobbs, 85, of Booneville passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Fort Smith. She was born Aug. 20, 1927, in Stuttgart to Sam and Stella (Puckett) Young. Flossie was retired from the Booneville Human Development Center and was a member of Grace Church in Booneville. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Stella Young; two daughters, Dolley Bills and Susie Helms; one son, Calvin Bills; and one brother, Lloyd Young.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Church in Booneville with burial following at Sugar Grove cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home in Booneville.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Bush of Bay Pointe, Calif.; one son, David Bills of Booneville; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be William Hall, Calvin Bills, Kelly Mezzaline, David Bills, Gabriel Landrum, Nathan Bills and Roy Huggins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Jeffcoat and Hugh Bush.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
