Gladys Jewell Duvall
Gladys Jewell Duvall, 94, of Atkins died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at Atkins Care Center.
She was born May 7, 1917, in Pottsville to William Thomas and Gertrude Harris Kinslow. She was retired from John’s Cleaners and a member of the Gumlog Fellowship Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Faye Duvall; three sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by three sisters, Georgia Swinhart of California, Alice Jobe of Virginia and Mary Ashmore of California; 11 nieces; and eight nephews.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lemley Chapel with the Revs. Ottis Mackey and Frank Richter officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service in Atkins. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. today.
Pallbearers are Tommy Kinslow, Hank Duvall, Charles Burris, Don Lewallen, Micky Lewallen and Jamie Burris.

Odie Goines
Odie Goines, 89, of Atkins died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 4, 1919, in Midland, and was the son of the late Wilburn Goines and Columbia Goines Clark. He retired as a heavy equipment operator and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen D. Goines; three brothers, Fay, Arbuary and Otto Goines; and two sisters, Lillian Pearce and Sylvia Wooley. He was a member of CC Camp and attended Atkins First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Paula Goines of Atkins; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Van Short of Atkins; two granddaughters and spouse, Terry and Brian James of Maumelle and Kimberly Nelson of Alexander; three great-grandsons, Tyler James, John David Nelson and Jake Nelson; and a sister, Violet Younger of Atkins.
Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Atkins First Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny McCoy officiating. Burial will be at Atkins City cemetery by Lemley Funeral Chapel.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Tim Younger, Raymond Pearce, Rayburn Pearce, Mike Staggs, Jim Staggs and Duard Pearce. Honorary pallbearer is Vernon Younger.

Judith Steele
Judith Steele, 62, of Russellville, the widow of Jerry Steele, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
A daughter of the late Victor Eugene and Wilma Faye Flanagan Sturgeon, she was born April 18, 1946, in Tulsa, Okla. She was a former telephone operator, a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and a member of the “Best Mother In The World” Club.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Tom Henderson of Dover; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Joy Steele of Dardanelle; five grandchildren: Amy Ward, Kelli Jolley, Zac Elliott, Amber Steele and Jamie Henderson; and two great-grandchildren: Michael Jolley and Gabby Ward.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Billy Ellis.
Entombment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Mausoleum, by Shinn Funeral Service.
Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.

Blake Beaty
Blake Anthony Beaty, 12, a resident of Russellville, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at his home.
He was born Jan. 14, 1996, in Russellville to Chad Michael and Melisa Dawn Nye Beaty. He was in sixth grade at Russellville Middle School, where he played the tuba in the band and was No. 78 on the peewee football team “Winds Black Team.”
He was a member of Troop 214 of the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Delaware and sometimes attended First Assembly of God in Dardanelle.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Elton “Junior” Hopkins.
Survivors include his parents, Chad and Melisa Beaty of Russellville; two sisters, Jessyka Autumn and Kayla Lauren Beaty, both of the home; his paternal grandparents, John and Carolyn Beaty of Russellville; his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Vicky Nye of Dardanelle; a great-grandmother, Bonnie Hopkins of Russellville; numerous uncles and aunts, including Patty Nye of Russellville, Michael Nye of Dardanelle, Michelle Reddell of Dardanelle, Kit and Heather Teague of California, and Rhonda Satterthwaite of Virginia; numerous great-uncles and great-aunts, including Mike and Lisa Hopkins of Dardanelle and Teresa Hopkins of Danville; numerous cousins, including Lindsay Thomas of Harrison, Bryceson Satterthwaite of Fayetteville, Heather Spencer of Danville, Shannon Hopkins of Nashville, Tenn., and Carly and Jesse Hopkins, both of Dardanelle; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct.14, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Delaware with Bros. Wylie Jones and Ethan Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Jesse Hopkins, Michael Nye, Kit Teague, Lloyd Callan, Chad Johnson and Todd Spencer. Honorary pallbearers will be Troop 214 and the Winds Black peewee football team.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the funeral home.

Audrey Skaggs
CLARKSVILLE — Audrey Estelene Skaggs, 85, of Lamar died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Countryside Manor in Lamar.
She was born April 28, 1923, in Osage, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lela Alice Casey Morrison; husband, Goald Eugene Skaggs; sons, Argus Faye Skaggs and Roy Lee Skaggs; daughter, Edra Jean King; a brother; and five sisters.
Survivors include sons, James Burl Skaggs of Knoxville, Kenneth Dean Skaggs of Wynne and Chester Blaine Skaggs of Lamar; daughters, Geneva Sue Morland of Lamar, Linda Kaye Clayborn of Clarksville, Deborah Darlene Bjorgum of Hagarville, Donna Mae Roddy of Lavaca and Robin Gail Clark of Lamar; 24 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Hagarville cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers:
Active — Nathan Bjorgum, Josh Bjorgum, Chris Clark, Keith Skaggs, Darren Skaggs and Michael Skaggs.
Honorary — Cory Mooney.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Betty Bell
Betty Allene Bell, 72, a resident of Russellville, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at the National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.
She was born Oct. 13, 1936, at Eagletown, Okla., to William and Deliah Crunk Hensley. She was a protestant Christian and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Bell; her step-father who raised her, Leonard Crain; and a half-brother, Clinton Crain.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Randy Sander of Broken Bow, Okla.; two half-brothers, Gary Crain of Dover and Everett Crain of Camden; three half-sisters, Juanelle Coon of Texas, Nelda Houston and her husband, Tommy, of Atkins, and Mable Crain of Dover; two grandchildren, Brooke and her husband, Shawn Horn of Pottsville and Clay and his wife, Darah Luper of Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren; and her four beloved pet dogs.
There will be a visitation from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Shinn Funeral Service.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Herbert Dale Ensey
(July 18, 1938 - August 9, 2013)
Herbert Dale Ensey, 75, of Blue Mountain, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born July 18, 1938 in Waveland, Arkansas to Calloway and Flossie (Holt) Ensey Franks.
He was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and the Arkansas Army National Guard.
He enjoyed fishing.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Hellen Marie Ensey; son, Terrell Dale Ensey; brothers, Johnny Earl Ensey, Damon Ray Ensey, and Wilburn Ensey and his parents before mentioned.
Funeral service are scheduled for 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville, with burial in Blue Mountain cemetery in Blue Mountain, Arkansas.
He is survived by one son, Damon Robert Ensey of Blue Mountain, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Jessie Ensey, Bobbie Nicole Harvey, Jason McDonald, Kelli Grayson; two great grandchildren, Kimora Faith Blake and Damien Michael McDonald.
The pallbearers will be David McLaughlin, Johnny Ensey Jr., A.J. Vernon, Carroll Newton, Tracey Ragsdale, and Bruce Idleman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Monday evening at Roberts Funeral Home.

Patricia Blackburn
CLARKSVILLE — Delores Patricia “Patsy” Blackburn died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at her home in Clarksville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D.A. Blackburn Jr.
Patsy was the name she was best known by in the Clarksville area. She was born June 6, 1930, in Russellville and moved to Clarksville where she attended Clarksville Public Schools and the University of the Ozarks. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. and her bridge club. Her silent grace and calmness was perceived by all who knew her.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Greg Blackburn of New York City, his wife, Cathy, and their daughter and one great-grandchild, and her beloved dog, Cuddles.
A viewing will be from 6-7:30 tonight at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
There will be a private memorial service at the graveside.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the University of the Ozarks.

Gladys Ida Wolfe Wilson
(March 31, 1920 - August 13, 2013)
Gladys Ida Wolfe Wilson, 93, of the Brownsville Community north of Booneville, departed this life on August 13, 2013 in Booneville, Arkansas. She and her identical twin sister were born March 31, 1920 near Chattanooga, Oklahoma to Orville Cullen and Ada Lavada Allen Wolfe.
She attended Chattanooga Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1940. She was a life-long Christian. She was a homemaker and proud mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was married on September 17, 1940 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Walter J. “Jim” Wilson.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years; two brothers, Jim and Allen “Buddy” Wolfe; one sister, Helen Wolfe Epps; and one grandson, Todd Oren Harbour.
A private graveside service will be held at Spring Hill cemetery in Chismville, Arkansas, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
She is survived by three sisters, Beryl Wolfe Duer, of Overland Park, Kansas; twin, Golda Wolfe Cotney of Sun City West, Arizona; and Alice Wolfe Walker of Aurora, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind two beloved daughters, Dixie Wilson Trowbridge and Lois Wilson Harbour and two cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Trowbridge and Ethan Harbour, all of Booneville.
She lived a full life and will be missed by her family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be her Logan County EMS technicians who have provided exceptional services throughout the years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stott-Wallace Missionary Offering of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church (8207 Traditional Place, Cordova, TN 38016), the Booneville Dog Shelter (Booneville City Hall, 497 E.
