Ray Pearce
DANVILLE — Ray B. Pearce, 88, of Bryant, formerly of Russellville, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Bryant Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 22, 1920, in Waveland to Melvil and Mae Kennington Pearce. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Wanda Joe Pearce; sons, Clint Pearce of Little Rock and Doug Pearce of Conway; stepsons, Gary Alford of South Haven, Miss., Alan Alford of Cabot and Scott Alford of Bryant; a grandson, Austin Pearce of Conway; a sister, Mary Ann Breed of Paris; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today at Havana cemetery with Mark King officiating. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.

Billy Wilson
DARDANELLE — Billy Dale Wilson, 53, of Delaware died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at his home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at First Assembly of God Church in Dardanelle. Burial will be at Graves cemetery at Delaware. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009.

Donald Bigbee
Donald F. Bigbee Sr., 74, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Robinson Bigbee; brother, Bill Bigbee; six children, Mike Bigbee, Donald Bigbee Jr., Darla Perdew, Brenda Woolven, Beth Doke and Doug Bigbee; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Nellie Bigbee; spouses, Dollie Mae Himes Bigbee and Laverne Parker Bigbee; a son, Bruce Bigbee; five brothers; and one sister.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Mason Woodard Funeral Home in Joplin, Mo. Burial will be at Carl Junction cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Pearl Simmons
Funeral services for Pearl D. Kile Simmons, 96, of Russellville will be at 10 a.m. today at the Kisatchie Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Cruse officiating. The burial will follow in the Kisatchie cemetery in Kisatchie, La.
Mrs. Simmons passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008. She was born March 6, 1912, in Vernon Parish, La., to Mack and Lonnie Danzy. She was a seamstress for cleaners at Fort Polk, La. She was a member of the Spanish Branch Baptist Church in Mora, La.
She is survived by one son, Glen (wife, Georgia) Kile of Russellville; four grandchildren Larry (wife, Charlene) Kile of Winnfield, La., Michael (wife, Leslie) Kile of Atlanta, Texas, DeAnna Kile of Russellville and Glenda (husband, Dwayne) Rambo of Russellville; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, La.
Memorial donations can be made to The Gideons or Spanish Branch Baptist Church.

John Hilton
John H. Hilton, 86, of Clarksville died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at his home.
A native of Montana, Ark., he was born to the late Bertha (Mertens) and Charles E. Hilton on Feb. 13, 1922. He and Estella Mae Plugge married Sept. 13, 1947. He was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Greg Hilton; three brothers, Frank, Charles and Fred Hilton; and a sister, Grace Hilton.
Survivors include his widow, Estella Hilton; two sons, Randy and Robert Hilton and daughter-in-law Dayna Hilton of Clarksville; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Joel Rossmaier; five grandchildren, John, Jason, Jana and Jack Rossmaier and Michael Post; two sisters, Josephine Hilton and Dorothy Kremers of Clarksville; a brother, Edward Russell Hilton of Clarksville; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel at Hardwicke Funeral Home with Rev. William Wewers officiating. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Clarksville with Wewers officiating. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be at Holy Redeemer Catholic cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

James Howard Jr.
James Conner “Pappy” Howard Jr., 67, of Booneville passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, in Fort Smith.
He was born June 14, 1941, in Russellville to James Conner and Anna Elizabeth (Freeman) Howard Sr. He was a construction worker and attended the Longridge Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Howard.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Downs of Booneville and Carol Foster of Russellville; two sons, Mark Allen Howard and James S. Howard, both of Booneville; two brothers, Phillip Howard of Morrilton and Louie Howard of Pottsville; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Creamation arrangements are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Sara McInturf
DANVILLE — Sara Rebecca Azelene “Azie” McInturf, 99, of Danville passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Mitchell’s Nursing Home.
She was born May 3, 1912, in the Dutch Creek community to the late William Edward and Rita Lou Keith Garner. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert McInturf; sons, Bobby Lee, Carl D. and Stephen McInturf; granddaughters, Stephanie Gale McInturf and Connie Sue McInturf Nivala; sisters, Evelyn Horn, Faye Horn and Etta Woodard; brothers, Velcie Garner and Velmon Garner; and son-in-law, Ray Cherry.
Survivors include one son, Willie and Evelyn McInturf of Fairfax, Okla.; daughters, Joyce and Vernon McCubbin of Magazine, Betty Cherry of Danville, Pat and Calvin Brown of Ranger and Glenda and Albert Horn of Danville; daughters-in-law, Elizabeth McInturf of Danville and Doris McInturf McKinney of Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren; and 45 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Danville with the Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will be at Waltreak cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville.
Pallbearers include Stanley McInturf, Floyd McInturf, Greg Cherry, Eddie Brown, Joseph Horn, Derrick McInturf, Jeremy Ellis and Brad Horn.

Jon Hall
DARDANELLE — Jon Lyn Hall, 62, of Russellville died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at McClellan Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born March 22, 1946, in Stamps, Ark., son of the late Don and Carolyn Gore Hall. He was owner/operator of Hall’s Industrial Services. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War receiving the Navy Achievement Award with Valor, a lifetime member of Rogers-Rye Post 2283 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Russellville and a member of the Russellville Chapter of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ray Hall.
Survivors include a son, Jason Ray Hall of Russellville; brothers, Jim Hall of Magnolia and Bob Hall of El Dorado; sisters, Nan Watson of Stamps and Helen Wyrick of Frisco, Texas; a grandson, Gary Ray Hall of Russellville; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Cornwell Chapel with Alan Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah cemetery with military honors by Rogers-Rye Post 2283 of the VFW. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers:
Active — members of the National Guard at Dardanelle.
Honorary — Gary Don Hall, Ryan Phillips, Mike Watson, Jason Hall, Bob Hall, Jim Hall, and members of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Rogers-Rye Post 2283 of VFW.

Donna Mefford
CLARKSVILLE — Donna Carol Mefford, 50, of Lamar died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at her home.
She was born April 7, 1958, at Clarksville, daughter of the late Rosco and Lizzie Chavers Mefford, and attended Jamestown Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include sons, Billy Hughes and wife, Renay, Terry Hughes and Christopher Hughes, all of Lamar; brothers, Johnny Mefford of Clarksville and Doyle Mefford of Greenbriar; sisters, Jackie Pelts and husband, Berry, Louise Culey and Dimple Karston of Clarksville, and Imogene King and husband of Ozone; and grandchildren, Shawn Hughes of Lamar and Cheyanne Rolla of Clarksville.
The body was cremated. Arrangements are by Hardwicke Funeral Home.

John Loveland
John “Bill” Loveland, 80, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Appleton, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at St. Louis.
The son of John and Minnie Lacy Loveland, he was born April 19, 1928, in Appleton. He married Mildred McQuerry on Dec. 25, 1955, at Little Rock. He was a rate clerk with Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed writing and was a published author. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Ira "Bad Egg" Loveland; and one grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Loveland; five children, Wendell Loveland Paula Loveland, Karen Scott, Joy McDaniels and Alan Loveland; seven grandchildren, two sisters, Clara Loveland and Floann Bartlett; one brother, Millard “Skeets” Loveland; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Appleton Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Randell Williams will officiate. Burial will in Appleton cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Eula Beavers
CLARKSVILLE — Eula Faye Beavers, 77, of Clarksville died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Russellville.
She was born Sept. 15, 1931, at Clarksville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Beulah L. Doke Patton; a brother, Bill Patton; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Beavers; a son, Buddy Beavers and his wife, Barbara, of Coal Hill; daughters, Wilma Pruitt and husband, Charles, of Clarksville, Judy Ware and husband, David, of Rockford, Ill., and Sharon O’Sullivan and husband, Ronnie, of Byron, Ill.; brothers, Ray Patton of Alma, Reece Patton of Rockford, Ill., and Tom Patton and Frank Patton of Clarksville; a sister, Willene Patton of Louisiana; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Coal Hill Assembly of God Church with Brother John Kindrix and the Rev. William Sowells officiating. Burial will be in Lone Pine cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active — Chuck Beavers Jr., Ricky O’Sullivan, Kyle Pruitt, Michael Ferguson, Sean Ferguson, Billy Pruitt and Chad Ware.
