Gerald Pellham
CLARKSVILLE — Gerald Lee Pallham, 68, of Lamar died Friday, April 10, 2009, at his home.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Roller-Cox Chapel with the Rev. Amos Pledger.
Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Dorothy McClain
Dorothy Norwood McClain, 83, of Russellville, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock.
The daughter of J.C. and Bernice Smith Norwood, she was born May 26, 1925, in Braden, Tenn. She and Lydle McClain were married on June 28, 1943, in Marion, Ark. She worked for many years as deputy jailor with the Phillips County Sheriff’s office in Helena. She retired in 1986 and the family moved to Stanton, Tenn. Lydle died in 1994 and she moved to Russellville to be near her daughter. Dorothy was called “Moma Dot” by all of her family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at the age of 83. She enjoyed playing dominoes with friends, going to Wal-Mart and collecting VCR’s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lydle McClain, her parents and a brother, Mac Norwood.
She is survived by three children, Vickie and Phillip Hawkins of Atkins, Donna McClain of North Little Rock and Dwight McClain of Munford, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Lisa Tackett of Atkins, Caleb Hawkins of Atkins, Tamara Mooney of West Helena, Josh Estes of Louisiana, Pete McClain of Nashville, Tenn., and Dawn McClain of Nashville, Tenn.; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Norwood and wife, Betty, of Brownsville, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Milly Norwood of Stanton, Tenn.; and her dear friend, Joyce Hall of Russellville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, Tenn., (701) 772-1551. The Rev. Gary Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens at Covington, Tenn., by Brownsville Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Tennessee.
Memorials may be made to Atkins First Baptist Church, 201 N. Church St., Atkins, Ark. 72823.
Local arrangements are by Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville.

Georgie Troy
DARDANELLE — Georgie Mae Troy, 67, of Dardanelle died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at her home.
She was born April 13, 1942, in Haney Hollow to the late George and Johnnie Mae Alverson Haney. She loved to sing country and gospel music. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carol Lievsay; brother, George Ben Haney; sister, Rose Iea Jordan.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Julian Troy of Dardanelle; son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Terri Lievsay of Dardanelle; daughter, Karen Lievsay of Dardanelle; three brothers; five sisters; granddaughter, Emily Edgell of Dardanelle; two grandsons, Jessie Heath Edgell of Dardanelle and Lance Aliff of Russellville; and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Dardanelle with Brother Johnathan Whitlock officiating. Burial will be in Haney cemetery, Dardanelle. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.
Pallbearers — Shon Wilson, Bo Reeves, Stephen Wilson, Randy Haney, Wayne Haney and Charles Scheer.
Honorary — Donnie Flow, Joe Tucker, Carmen Wise, Roy Young, James Heflin and Kent Dennis.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. today at the chapel.

Joyce Carol Marcum
Joyce Carol Marcum, 48, of Coal Hill died Sept. 19, 2011, at home.
She was born May 5, 1963, in Mango County, W.Va. She held the title of pool champion several times.
She is preceded in death by her father, Hubert Marcum, and one brother, Roger Marcum.
Survivors include her mother, Bernice Marcum of W.Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerald Marcum and Cheryl Robinson of Coal Hill; sisters, Amanda Marcum, Wanda Marcum, Tina Williams and Judy Fannin, all of W.Va.; brothers, Hubert Marcum Jr., Kenneth Marcum, Daney Marcum, Randy Marcum and Ricky Marcum, all of W.Va.; and one grandchild.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with the Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
Pallbearers are Paul Gene, Zach Oliver, Jerald Marcum, Wes Oliver, Justin Broomfield and Jeremy Fortenberry. Honorary pallbearer is Easton Marcum.
Burial will be at Coal Hill cemetery in Coal Hill.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville.
Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville.

Barbara Bennett
Barbara Nell Tidwell Waller Bennett, 56 of Russellville died Friday, April 24, 2009, at her home.
She was born Aug. 3, 1952, in Portsmouth, Va., to William and Jimmie Nell Clement Tidwell. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Tidwell, and brother, David Tidwell. She had worked at Arkansas Nuclear One for 26 years and was a member of Atkins Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Waller Bennett; father, William Tidwell; son, Jason Gutierrez; two daughters and sons-in-law, Danielle and Travis Bryant and Melannie and Kip Bennett, all of Russellville; three stepsons Shane Waller Bennett and Shawn Waller Bennett of Conway, and Seth Waller Bennett of Fort Lewis, Wash.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodney and Kay Tidwell, Terry and Cindy Tidwell, and Mark and Carla Tidwell, all of Russellville; two grandchildren, Caleb and Aleigh Bryant; two stepgrandchildren, Hunter and Madison Bennett; and two nieces and three nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Atkins Church of Christ with Neal Chisum officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
Pallbearers are Travis Bryant, Kip Bennett, Mark Bennett, Ollie Olona, Tony Castillo and Seth Bennett.

Edward E. Fields Sr.
Edward E. Fields Sr., 64, of Pottsville, received his invitation to join his Heavenly Father, Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
The son of Paul Edward Fields and Mable Ford, he was born March 29, 1945, in Miami, Okla. He married Phyllis Williams on March 22, 1966, in Waco, Texas. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3928.
He lived 20 years in Corpus Christi, Texas, the owner of Fields Lathe & Plastering. He was the owner/operator of Fields Maintenance in Orlando, Fla., before retiring to Arkansas.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working on his farm in Pottsville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Fields; mother and stepfather, Mable and Albert Murray; and sister, Patsy McGuire.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Phyllis Fields of Pottsville; three sons, Eddie Fields and wife, Lisa, of Orlando, Fla., Mike Fields and wife, Laura, of Dover, and Joey Fields and wife, Beth, of Pottsville; stepdaughter, Laura Bailey of Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight granddaughters, Erika Glenn and husband, Rocky, of Orlando, Fla., Ashley and Lainey Fields of Orlando, Fla., Jennifer and Jacqueline Fields of Dover, Caitlin and Brooklin Fields of Pottsville, and Krista Vick of Gosnell, Ark.; two grandsons, Evan Fields of Dover and Jimmy Vick of Gosnell; two great-granddaughters, Layla Glenn of Orlando, Fla., and Kylie Vick of Gosnell; one sister, Loretta Fuller and husband, Jim, of Fulton, Mo.; three brothers, James Fields and wife, Ellen, of Wichita, Kan., Frank Fields and wife, Carol, of Melrose, Fla., Joe Lawrence and wife, Susie, of Henderson, Nev.; several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Humphrey Chapel with the Rev. Danny Green officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Eddie Fields, Joey Fields, Evan Fields, the Rev. Tim Fields, Dr. Randell Fuller and Don Paul.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Williams, Harry Cannon, Mike Stricklin and all of his brothers at the FOE 3928.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles’ Needy Children’s Christmas Fund, 3016 E. 16th St., Suite A, Russellville, Ark. 72802.

Bill Darby
“Bill” Darby, 66, of Russellville died Monday, April 27, 2009, at his home.
The son of Fred and Ealnor Heath Darby, he was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Russellville. He was the owner of Mega Wholesale/Mega Coffee. He loved spreading God’s Word. He was an ordained minister and preached at Legacy Lodge Nursing Center. He ran the food bank “Love In Action”. He loved to fish and spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was a friend to all who knew him or met him. When asked if he needed anything he always stated “You got a bucket of $5 dollar bills.” He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Donna Darby and Charlotte Mae Darby.
Survivors include two sisters, Peggy Floyd and Louise Riggs both of Louisiana; four children, Tina Frederick and husband, Tim, of Maryland, Bryan Darby and wife, Starla, of Kansas, Richard Darby of Kansas, Crystal Baxley and husband, John, of Dardanelle; two stepchildren, Jim Myers and wife, Donna, of Danville and Chuck Myers of Dover; best friend, Jim Clark and wife, Carolyn, of Pottsville; fiancee’, Diane Davis of Dover; 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a special grandson, Bryan Myers of Fort Bragg, N.C.; and his extended family at Legacy Lodge.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church. Pastor Terry Thacker will officiate. Burial will be at Shiloh-Williamson cemetery at Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice or any food bank.

Genevieve Fryer
ATKINS — Genevieve Leggett Fryer, 87, of Atkins passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009, in Russellville surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born March 27, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., a daughter of W.J. and Ethel Fridell Leggett. She was a graduate of Jerusalem High School. She married Marion Drew Fryer on Dec. 22, 1946. She was a loving mother, homemaker and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Atkins for 49 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Bill Leggett, and a sister Pearl Leggett.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Sharon and Mike Keith of Little Rock and Cindy and Brad Thompson of Atkins; one brother, Paul Leggett of Fort Smith; one sister, Mary Thomas of Lecompte, La.; two granddaughters, Brooke Burnett and Mary Catherine Thompson; one grandson, Blake Burnett; and one great-grandson, Dawson Burnett.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Atkins with Brother Mark Griffith and Brother Scott Tyler officiating. Burial will be at Oakland cemetery. Arrangements are by Lemley Funeral Home.

Ada Bata
Funeral services for Ada Louise Bata of Gassville will be at 1 p.m. today at Faith Church in Dardanelle with the Rev. David Jay officiating.
She was born Tuesday, Sept. 19, 1944, in Hollis, the daughter of Chester and Ava Tallent.
Louise Bata is survived by her husband, Ron Bata of Gassville; mother, Ava Lee Rogers of Benton; two sons, Ron (Chris) Bata of Taftville, Conn., and Charles N. (Cheryl) Bata of Traskwood; and six grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Graves cemetery. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral Services.

Hartsil Prince
Hartsil E. Prince, age 75, of Hector, died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
A son of the late Lannie Monroe and Josie Chisum Prince, he was born July 26, 1933, in Hector. He was a farmer, a U.S. Air Force veteran and attended the Calvary Temple Assembly of God. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Hervie Prince, and a sister, Mildred Prince.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lannie and Brenda Prince of Russellville and Randy and Cindy Prince of Conway, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God, officiated by the Rev. Lester Chisum and the Rev. Devoe Campbell. Burial will be in Brock cemetery near the Victor Community in northern Pope County by Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Joshua Prince, Kaleb Prince, Bryson Howard, Ray King, Matthew Hill and Paul Ray Prince.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
