Nora Glover
Nora Lillian Drye Glover, 61, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 20, 1948, in the community of Bayou Meto, Arkansas, to Jimmie and Nora VanCleave Drye. She was a member of First Baptist Church at Hazen.
Lil loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Her love for children and others flowed through her hands into the many homemade gifts she has created through the years. She also loved to fish and visit with family and friends.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Tregler.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jon Massey of Heber Springs and Dean Massey of Russellville; her mother, Nora Drye of Rison; five brothers, Jimmie Drye Jr. of Pine Bluff and Tom, Luther, Shane and Dwayne Drye, all of Rison; sister, Katherine “Kit” Bowers of Russellville; three grandchildren, Jordan, Levi and Jacob Massey; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services, officiated by her nephew, the Rev. Steve Drye, are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bayou Meto cemetery. Friends and family will gather at the church following the ceremony.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home in Stuttgart.

Leonard Keeling
Leonard C. Keeling, 87, of Centerville died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Dardanelle Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Centerville Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at Mount George cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the Chapel. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.

Tammy Bocksnick
Tammy Bocksnick, 42, of Russellville went home to be with her Lord, Monday, Nov. 23, 2009.
The daughter of Thelma Wheeler Bocksnick and Herman Bocksnick, she was born Jan. 22, 1967, in Russellville. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Russellville. Tammy enjoyed outdoor activities, fishing, camping, riding her motorcycle and gardening. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ellis and Eunice Wheeler, and Bruno and Pearlie Bocksnick.
She is survived by her mother, Thelma Bocksnick of Russellville; father, Herman Bocksnick and wife Annis of Russellville; one sister, Debbie Almond and husband Michael of Russellville; one brother, Kenneth Bocksnick and wife Merita of Bald Knob; nieces and nephews, Justin Bocksnick, Jason Bocksnick, Ashlynn Bocksnick, Brandy Hudson and John Haynes; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Pentecostal Church of Russellville with the Rev. Tony Reynolds and the Rev. Josh Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Hill cemetery in Cherry Hill in Perry County under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Esther Rainey
Esther Rainey, 80, of Casa died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Casa Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at Casa cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.

Debra Wilkinson
Debra Perren Wilkinson, 56, of Carmine, Texas, formerly of Russellville and Lamar, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009.
She was born July 15, 1953, at LeMarque, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Ray Perren, and Bill and Betty Johns. She was a 1971 graduate of Russellville High School and a retired licensed practical nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ray Wilkinson.
Survivors include brother, Eugene Perren, and sisters, Penny Wise, Kathy Galyon and Elise O’Valle, all of Texas; sister, Linda Johns of Arizona; sister, Marjorie Johnson of Missouri; brother, Phil Johnson of New York; brother, Billy Ray Perren of Arkansas; son and daughter-in-law, Paul Ray Wilkinson II and April Wilkinson, and daughter and son-in-law, Jeremy and Kerri Mathis, and six grandchildren, all of Hector.
A private memorial service for family and friends will be held later.

Rosalie Wear
DARDANELLE — Rosalie Carter Wear, 72, of the Omega community went home to her Lord Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born May 29, 1937, at Elk City, Okla., to the late Ed and Esther Gray Carter. She was a lifelong resident of Yell County, a member of Gum Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Yell County Extension Homemakers Club, St. Edward’s School of Nursing Alumnus and the Arkansas Nursing Association. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Carter. Rosalie loved her family, watching ball games and listening to quartet music.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John Wear of the Omega community; children and spouses, Johnna and Bobby Duncan of Bentonville, Jennifer and Tim Golman of Benton, and Brad and Sondra Wear of Omega; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lanny and Alicia Carter and Lelon and Jo Lynn Carter; sisters-in-law, Mamie Carter and Glenda Taylor; grandchildren, Rachel and Matt Duncan, Chelsea Norvell, Sydnee and Courtney Golman, and Jonathan and Hallie Wear; uncles, Earl and Rebecca Gray and Thurman and Sue Carter; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family would like to thank Dr. Larry Mendelsohn and staff for their tireless efforts to heal and comfort.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cornwell Chapel. Burial will be in Shepherd cemetery in Omega. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Todd, Scott, Chad, Brandon and McKenzie Carter, and Jeff Odell.

Etta Moore
Trieberetta “Etta” G. Moore, 65, of Pottsville, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

Harold Walker
CLARKSVILLE — Harold Ralph Walker, 76, of Ozark died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Born July 21, 1922, at Vinita, Okla., he was the son of the late Paul Lee and Lula Mae Finnel Walker. He spent 211/2 years in the U.S. Army, was owner of a lawn service in Ozark and a member of Coal Hill Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a son, Michael Walker of Clarksville; daughters, Delores Burton of Fort Smith, Connie Gregory and husband, Doyle, of Clarksville, and Beverly Burton of Fort Smith; a brother, Elmer Walker of Galina, Kan.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Burial will be in Hartman cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include William Mize, Jimmie Jones, The’ Tram, Jason Marshall, Scott Elmore and Doyle Gregory.

Aaron Cowell
CLARKSVILLE — Aaron Dale Cowell, 37, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at his home.
He was born Aug. 16, 1972, and was employed in construction.
Survivors include a son, Austin Cowell of Clarksville; daughters, Savanna Cowell and Taylor Cowell of Clarksville; his parents, Darrell Cowell and Janet (Sanders) Cowell of Clarksville; brothers, Harvey Cowell of Knoxville and Don Cowell of London; and a sister, Stephanie Cowell Haynes of Clarksville.
Graveside service and burial was at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Mount Vernon cemetery by the Rev. Amos Pledger. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers:
Active — Dale Holland, Jerry Cowell, Jason Smith and Troy Turner.
Honorary — Ed Bell, Bob Taylor and Harvey Cowell.

John Tackett
John Mark Tackett, 74, of Cut Off, La., a native of Lake Village, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today with services at 1 p.m. at South Lafourche Baptist. Burial will be Monday, Dec. 14, in Shiloh cemetery at Spring Hill, La.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Welch Tackett; children, Steven M. Tackett, Bruce A. Tackett and Jennifer Hendrix; brothers, Arvil Tackett and Montegomery Tackett; sisters, Sybil Tackett Gibson, Ester Carter, Vela Page, Anne Chaney, Lois Miller, Gracie Leininger and Georgia Jones; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ellis and Gracie Tackett, and sisters, Helen Tackett, Hattie Robinson and Estelline Heartsfield.
Arrangements are by Samart-Mothe Funeral Home.

Evalena Lane
Evalena Lane, 76, of Russellville died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Monroe and Roxie Smith Parker, she was born July 11, 1933, in Hartman. Before retirement, she was a senior merchandiser with JCPenney. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald Bruce Lane; brother, Jim Parker; and sister, Faye Green.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jackson Lane of Russellville; three daughters, Linda Lane of Russellville, Kathy Pinion and husband, Maurice, of Los Banos, Calif., and Juanita Lane Price of Russellville; seven grandchildren, Chad Marcum, Erik Marcum, Tammi Schultz, Michael Schultz II, Kerry Schultz, Sarah Price and Joseph Price; 11 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Don Parker, Dane Parker, Ted Parker, Leroy Parker, Dorothy Scarberry and Hilda Ross.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Hess cemetery at Coal Hill under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1905.
