Anna Lucille Wetmore

Anna Lucille Wetmore, 80, of Bedford, Iowa, and formerly of Bella Vista, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, in Bedford. She was born May 22, 1920, in Ross Township, Taylor County, Iowa, to Howard and Anna Mable Spencer Wolverton.

She graduated from Bedford High School, then attended beauty school. She married Frank 'Bud ' Wetmore on June 19, 1938.

Her husband attended mortuary school, then the couple moved into Wetmore Funeral Home in Bedford. They operated the business for many years, then sold it.

Her husband owned Dad & Lad Clothing Store in Bedford for five years. In 1966, the couple moved to Harlan, Iowa, and in 1970 to Poplar Bluff, Mo., where she was employed as an executive secretary for the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce.

She and her husband retired and moved to Bella Vista, then to Tulsa, Okla., for 17 months before returning to Bedford in October 2000.

She was a member of Bella Vista United Methodist Church, the P.E.O., Order of the Eastern Star, Rebbecahs and various bridge clubs. She enjoyed golfing.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet Morgan and Edna Lacy; and a brother, Paul Wolverton.

Survivors include her husband, Frank 'Bud ' Wetmore; three sons, Frank Wetmore of Bellvue, Idaho, Dan Wetmore of Henley on the Thames, England, and Victor Wetmore of Tulsa, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Ritchie Funeral Home of Bedford with the Rev. Ruth Melick officiating. Burial was at Fairview cemetery in Bedford.

Cremation arrangements were by Ritchie Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson 's Association.

Phoebe Emily Calihan
Phoebe Emily Calihan, 93, of Bella Vista, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. She was born Aug. 10, 1907, in Topeka, Kan., to George and Hattie Maroney.
She was raised in Topeka. She married James L. Calihan on Jan. 1, 1927.
She was a lifetime member of Oakland United Methodist Church and Oakland Rebecca Lodge. She played piano for the lodge for many years. She lived at the Methodist Home for 10 years.
She moved to Bella Vista in April 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Calihan, in 1977; a brother, in 1958; a grandson, Michael Overby, in 1986; and a daughter, Carol Virginia Calihan, in March 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice A. Overby of Bella Vista and Judy Skoch of Independence, Mo.; a son, James L. Calihan Jr. of Ranier, Wash.; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Newcomer Family Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial was at Topeka cemetery.
Local arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to Odd Fellows Grand Lodge of Kansas, 103 W. Second St., Frankfort, Kan. (66427).

Betty Ann Frost
Betty Ann Frost, 78, of Hutchinson, Kan., and formerly of Bella Vista, died April 19, 2001, at Good Samaritan Center in Hutchinson.
She was born April 29, 1922, in Council Grove, Kan., to Van and Virginia Clyborne Scholes. She was a graduate of Council Grove High School and a longtime resident.
She married Roy L. Frost Sr. on Jan. 3, 1943, in Tucson, Ariz. She worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue and Taxation in Topeka, Kan., and for Southern Pacific Railroad in Tucson. She was deputy county treasurer in Morris County.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a 50-year member of PEO.
She was preceded in death by twin daughters, Jeanne and Joanne Frost; a brother, Dean Scholes; and a sister, Kathryn Avery.
Survivors include a son, Roy L. "Larry" Frost of Pineville, Mo.; a daughter, Jane Horn of Hutchinson; two brothers, Van Scholes of Sun City, Ariz., and Robert Scholes of East Helena, Mont.; a sister, Barbara Baker of Topeka; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, a great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 22, with the family greeting friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 23, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Hutchinson with the Rev. Nick Warner officiating. A private graveside service was held at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the American Diabetes Association, both in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kan. (67501).

Lloyd A. Meyer
Lloyd A. Meyer, 69, of Bella Vista, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at his home. He was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Auburn township in Fond du Lac County, Wis., to Walter and Irma Manthey Meyer.
He graduated from Immanuel Lutheran School in Sheboygan, Wis. He moved to Bella Vista 5 1/2 years ago from Port Washington, Wis.
He was a member of Bella Vista Christian Church and served on the Church Grounds Committee. He was a member of FlyTyers Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Meyer; two daughters, Jane Bracken of Boca Raton, Fla., and Joan Traxel of Port Washington, Wis.; and two grandchildren, Jason Traxel and Nicole Traxel, both of Port Washington.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Bella Vista Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. Richard Hogan officiating. A second memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington.
Local arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 4241 Gabel Drive, Fayetteville, Ark. (72703); or to Bella Vista Christian Church, 103 Riordan Road, Bella Vista, Ark. (72714).

Donald Helmer Moller
Donald Helmer Moller, 65, of Stewartville, Minn., and formerly of Bella Vista, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at his home of colon cancer. He was born Oct. 12, 1935, in Galva, Iowa, to Helmer Andreas and Essie Pearl Diener Moller.
He married Sherry Gay Riege on June 22, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview, Minn.
He worked as a farm hand, a painter, and as a printer's devil at the Plainview News in 1952, all prior to his graduation from Plainview High School. As a photographer in the U.S. Army, he received commendations for his work, which was published in Time magazine.
He served at SHAPE headquarters in Paris, France, where he produced a portrait of Field Marshal Viscount Mont-gomery of Alemein, the only military photo the general ever used as his official portrait.
Following military service, he returned to Plainview to become a printer and became owner of the Plainview News, the St. Charles Press, and the Lewiston Journal with his partner, Robert M. Mack. He was volunteer co-chairman of the Plainview Swimming Pool Project and the Piper Hills Golf Course Project.
He was nominated for Minnesota's 10 Outstanding Young Citizens Award in 1965. He also served in various capacities at the Plainview Commercial Club and the William Allen American Legion Post. He was a longtime member of the Republican Party, for which he served as Wabasha County chairman during the early 1960s. In 1983, he served as president of Wabasha County Realtors Association.
He and his wife retired to Bella Vista in 1992 and traveled extensively throughout the country in their converted Greyhound bus. He served as editor of the Converted Coach Chapter newsletter of the Family Motor Coach Association for several years. He was confirmed at and became a member of Bella Vista Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Martha.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sherry Moller; a son, Mark Moller of Preston, Minn.; two daughters, Lisa Orth of Prior Lake, Minn., and Amy Moller-Chaney of Colleyville, Texas; two brothers, Richard Moller of Wyoming, Minn., and Daniel Moller of Owatonna, Minn.; two sisters, Leah Smith of Viola, Minn., and Viola Rae Toals of Vail, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 23, at Schad and Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview with the Rev. David Frederickson officiating.

Eva 'Pat' Musgrove
Eva "Pat" Musgrove, 77, of San Antonio, Texas, and formerly of Bella Vista, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, in San Antonio. She was born Nov. 3, 1923, in Oakland, Calif., to Albert and Anna Scholz Olson.
She had lived in Bella Vista for several years. After her husband's death, she moved back to San Antonio to live with her cousin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Musgrove; a son, Bill Musgrove; and a daughter, Lola Musgrove.
Survivors include a cousin, Helen W. Buescher of San Antonio; an uncle, Pete Scholz of San Antonio; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Saturday, April 7, at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas. A memorial service was held Thursday, April 12, at First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements were by Porter Loring Mortuary of San Antonio.

William F. 'Bill' Nordmeyer
William F. "Bill" Nordmeyer, 66, of Bella Vista, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born June 30, 1934, in Clarksville, Iowa, to Robert Peter and Edna Maria Mina Schluter Nordmeyer.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Bella Vista First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Larry R. Williams and Wayne Bartruff officiating.
Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to the Kay Delight Nordmeyer Memorial Schol-arship Fund, established by the family for graduating seniors who are entering the field of elementary education, in care of 5 Crew Lane, Bella Vista, Ark. (72715).

Kertis Paul Perkins
Kertis Paul Perkins, 51, of Bella Vista, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born March 4, 1950, in Odessa, Texas, to Frank C. and Dorothy Hickey Perkins.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS John Paul Jones. He married Linda Barbettini on Dec. 15, 1972, in Dallas, and the couple moved to this area in 1989 from there.
He was general manager of Bud Anderson Heating and Cooling Co. in Bentonville, and was a member of First Christian Church of Bentonville.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Perkins; a son, Matthew Scott Perkins of Bella Vista; a daughter, Amanda Kody Perkins of Edmond, Okla.; his parents, Frank and Dorothy Perkins; two brothers, Frank Keith Perkins of Athens, Texas, and William Karl Perkins of Dallas; a sister, Kelley Perkins Deibel of Athens; and a nephew.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at First Christian Church of Bentonville with the Rev. Don Morrow officiating.
Arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Bentonville.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Youth Group, 807 Highway 102 S.E., Bentonville, Ark. (72712).

Erma Powell
Erma Powell, 94, of Bentonville, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Bentonville Manor. She was born April 20, 1906, in Hiwasse, to Abe and Della McMillan Duncan.
She was a lifelong resident of Benton County. She was a member of Bentonville Church of Christ. She enjoyed knitting and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Earl Powell Sr.; two sons, Roy Earl Powell Jr. and Kenneth Wayne Powell; two grandchildren, Sheila Pinson and Wayne Powell; a great-grandchild, Blake Baril; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Roberts of Cave Springs and Lana Gaiche of Bentonville; a son, Jay Powell of Bentonville; a granddaughter, Buffie Gaiche Baril of Gallatin, Tenn.; two great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Bentonville Church of Christ with William Spurlock and Jack Sandlin officiating.
Burial was at Bentonville cemetery.
