BERTHA A. THOMAS WORSTELL WILSON
Bertha A. Thomas Worstell Wilson, 87, of Cabot passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005.
She was born Feb. 3, 1918, in Morrilton, to Ruby Speights and Daniel Malcolm Thomas. She was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church in North Little Rock.
Bertha's family was the center of her world, she enjoyed cooking and one of her greatest pleasures was to have her family at home for Sunday dinner.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Henry R. Worstell and Calvin Wilson; two sons Lloyd Robert and Gerald Ray Worstell; sister Jewel Fay Thomas; and two brothers Garland Lloyd and Joel Ray Thomas.
Surviving are her daughters Lou Smith and her husband Bill of Burke, Va., Nanette Hipp and her husband Ernie of Prim, and Rebecca Whitaker and her husband Jimmy of Cabot; son Richard Wilson and his wife Tina of Sardis; brother Daniel M. Thomas and his wife Mary of England; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Wednesday, Feb. 16, at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Edgewood Memorial Park.

VENITA EATOY PIERCE
Venita Eatoy Pierce, 77, of Benton, a homemaker, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005.
She was born on March 25, 1927 in Booneville. She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Gladys Boggs; husband Homer Pierce, Sr.; son Homer Pierce, Jr.; daughter Lillian Burrow; brother Buford Boggs, Sr. and a sister Eva Boggs.
Surviving are three daughters Linda Higgins and husband Arlie of Traskwood, Eva Neal and husband Sam of Alexander and Thelma Martin and husband Jeff of Benton; brother Pat Boggs and wife Gladys of California; sister Norma Elder and husband Howard of Benton; sister-in-law Dorothy Boggs; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Monday, Feb. 14, at Ashby Funeral Home, with Bro. David Brewer officiating. Burial was at Social Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers: John Dempsey, Timmy Dempsey, Gerald Hinds, Andy Nelson, Andy Baker and William Bunt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Higgins and Eli Yates.

BARBARA JEAN DELCAMBRE GOINS
Barbara "Bobbi" Jean Delcambre Goins, 67, of Bryant, entered the gates of eternal life on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at Bryant Healthcare in Bryant.
She was born Aug. 23, 1937 to Lillie Bell and Dorris "Bozo" Delcambre in Bayou LaBatre, Ala. She moved to Slidell, La., at the age of 10 where her parents were the owners of the local favorite seafood restaurant, Bozo's. As a young girl, she spent many days on the family fishing boat with her father as well as helping with the restaurant. She attended St. Margaret Mary Grade and Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Slidell. In 1963, she met Charles Stanford Goins and they later married on May 20, 1964. There they raised four children until, in 1989, when the family moved to Little Rock. As a young housewife, she was a member of a bowling league where she achieved many trophies for her efforts. She was a member of Mabelvale Church of Christ. She loved to do many things in the outdoors with her husband and family, which included camping, fishing and hunting. Bobbi was a very busy homemaker where she enjoyed being in her garden, cooking, sewing and crafts, her many yard sales, reading western novels, playing bingo, piecing puzzles, taking pictures and most of all, watching her movies. She was very proud of her collection of movies, which numbered in the 700's. During the last few years of her life, she had the opportunity to travel all throughout the U.S.A., on a big rig with her son Tim. She loved her Siamese cats, her Coke, Chinese food and going to Wal-Mart.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lillie and Bozo Delcambre and a sister Marilyn Polk of Pearl River, La. She will be greatly missed by her family. We will all miss her, but take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place where we will all meet again.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years Charles "Charlie", her four children, son Charles Stanford Jr. and wife Lisa and grand-daughter Mandy of Van Buren, daughter Tiffanee Noack and husband Lee and grandson Korbyn Freeman of Bryant, son Timothy and wife Michelle and granddaughters Katherine and Lexie of Alexander, daughter Cambretta Wilson and husband Jeromy and grandsons Blake and Brent of Mabelvale; five sisters Betty Powell of Mobile, Ala., Jeri Mayes of Houston, Texas, Brenda McCoy of Slidell, La., Becky Howell of Pearl River, La. and Nell Crawford of Carriere, Miss.; with many nieces and nephews and a brother Clifford Delcambre of Bayou LaBatre, Ala.
The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice for all their help and support.
Funeral was Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Ashby Funeral Home, with Bro. Danny Wilson officiating. Burial was at Upchurch cemetery.

MAXINE GRAY VANDEGRIFT
Maxine Gray Vandegrift, 93, of Benton, a grocery store clerk passed away Sunday Feb. 13, 2005.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1911 in Haskell. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Addie Gray; her first husband Claude Goodwin, brother Clayton Gray and a sister Aleze Weeks.
She was a contented lady who lived a contented life. Her wants were simple and her wishes few. She loved and was much loved. She will be sadly missed.
Surviving are her husband Virgil Vandegrift; son Russell Goodwin of Benton; stepson Bill Vandegrift of Benton; nine grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Janice Goodwin Walker, Russanne Goodwin Revis, Wade Goodwin, Clay Goodwin, Cindy Vandegrift Collard, Johnny Vandegrift, Paula Vandegrift Smith, Virgil Thomas Vandegrift and Wade Vandegrift and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services was Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Ashby Funeral Home, with Dr. Rick Grant and Todd Callaway officiating. Burial was at Old Rosemont cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wade Goodwin, Clay Goodwin, Todd Walker, Danny Revis, Virgil Thomas Vandegrift and Brad Collatt.

David Jon Lott
July 16, 1941 - August 12, 2012
Ret. SMSGT. David Jon Lott, known by everyone as “Buddha”, 71, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on August 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Lott, his mother, Marie Coffman McClellan, stepfather, James McClellan of Newark, Ohio, and his son, Kevin Lott.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Tammy) Lott and Stephen (Tonya) Lott of Cabot, Arkansas; three grandchildren Jacob and Jordon Lott, Jamie (Wayne) Duncan; one great-grandchild, Cole Duncan; a sister, Kathy Swank of Florida; a brother, Mark Lott of California; a sister, Kim Christman of Ohio; many relatives and many friends.
Born on July 16, 1941, in Newark, Ohio Sgt. Lott joined the Air Force in 1960. He was with the 361 TEWS during the Vietnam War, where he flew 145 combat missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He spent the majority of his military service as a flight engineer. After serving 28 years in the Air Force, Sgt, Lott retired at Little Rock Air Force Base. He then worked for Lockheed Martin for 12 years as a flight engineer instructor. Buddha was proud of his family, enjoyed traveling and the camaraderie of friends at the VFW and Moose Lodge.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Arkansas State Veteran’s cemetery in North Little Rock. Following the graveside service, a celebration of Buddha’s life will be at the VFW-Post 4548, 6704 Old Highway 67 (Toneyville Road) at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Buddha be made to the VFW_-Post 4548, c/o Rip Dempsey, PO Box 482, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72078 or the American Heart Association, 909 West 2nd, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.

MARVIN JEFF HERMESCH
Marvin Jeff Hermesch, 77, of Benton, died on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005.
He was born on March 2, 1927, at Zama, Miss., to the late Marvin J. Tuck and Ethel House.
Surviving are one daughter Diana Hall of Benton; one granddaughter Kathryn Martin and one great-grandson Frankie Blough Jr.
Funeral was Monday, Feb. 14, in the Roller-Ballard Funeral Chapel, with Bro. L.D. Campbell officiating. Burial was at Crossroads cemetery in Grant County.

KATHRYN SINGLEY
Kathryn Singley, 69, of Alexander, a retired rural postal carrier, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005.
She was born Aug. 28, 1935, in Little Rock to the late Charles Virgil and Mary Elizabeth McDavitt Phillips. She was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and member of the U.S. Humane Society.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years Bobby D. Singley of Alexander; daughter Marla Harmon of Benton; son Charles Walpole of Little Rock, and grandchildren William Walpole and wife Nicole, Jesse Walpole, Cody Harmon, and Katy Harmon.
Graveside services were Monday, Jan. 31, at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Arrangements by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home of Benton.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Saline County Humane Society.

LOLA DOOLEY TYLER
Lola Dooley Tyler, 97, of Benton, a former nurse's aide for St. Vincent Hospital, nursing homes and as a receptionist at Jacksonville Towers, where she had lived for 20 years, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at Saline Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 20, 1907 in Mount Hope, Ala., the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Dooley. She was a Methodist. She resided at Benton Health Care Center for the last six years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lee Wesley Tyler, son Eugene Earnest Tyler, five other children who did not survive childhood, and six brothers and six sisters.
Surviving are three of her sons William Earl Tyler and wife Sarah of Benton, Virgle Ray Tyler and wife Mary Ann of Carbon Hill, Ala., and G.W. Tyler and wife Mary of Alexander; her daughter Betty Jean Moncrief and husband Jim of Tyler, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Friday, Jan. 28, in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, with Bro. James Stapleton officiating. Burial was at Concord cemetery at Furlow.

LINDA CARMELA EUBANKS
Linda Carmela Eubanks, 46, of Traskwood, a registered nurse, passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005.
She was a Girl Scout Leader for eight years. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where she taught Sunday School. Linda was preceded in death by a sister Debbie Phillips and grandmother Jennie Bell.
Surviving are a son Roger A. Eubanks, Jr., of Farmington; three daughters Angela Eubanks, Anna Eubanks, and Megan Eubanks, all of Traskwood; parents Wilburn and Carmela Phillips; brother David Phillips and wife Rayne of Benton; and sister Jennifer Ferrell and husband Jeff of Bryant.
The Rosary service was Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral was Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Our Lady of Fatima, with Father Michael Bass officiating. Burial was at Oak Grove cemetery in Austin.
