Jessie Matt Harmon
Jessie Matt Harmon, 99, of De Valls Bluff, Ark., formerly of DeWitt, Ark., passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004. She was born April 7, 1905, in Ethel, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Harmon; son, R.B. Harmon ; granddaughter, Pansy Harmon; and grandson, Harmon Connor. She is survived by her daughter, Anna Faye Connor and husband, Doug; granddaughters, Roxanne Bray, Darlene Connor and Anita Connor; greatgrandchildren, Desha Strickland, Aaron Bray (Shannon), Josh Bray (Jennette ), Kasey Robnett, Tucker Connor, and Kerry Butcher (Darren); great-great-grandchildren, Jessika, Connor, Meagan, Kaden, Christopher, Jacob and Brianna.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in De Valls Bluff by Bro. Bill Bruce on Saturday Oct. 2, 2004. Graveside services were at the Forks LaGrue cemetery in DeWitt, Ark. Pallbearers were Aaron Bray, Josh Bray, Kasey Robnett, Tucker Connor, Darren Butcher and Jason Barrow. Arrangements were by Westbrook Funeral Home.

Frank G. Lamb
Frank G. Lamb, 88, died Friday. He was a retired farmer and a World War II United States Army veteran. Survivors one stepdaughter, Mel Hargrove; four stepgrandchildren ; and two step-greatgrandchildren. Graveside services were held Saturday, October 2, at Center Point cemetery in Hazen by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home of Brinkley.

Otis B. Crawford
July 20, 1934 - April 9, 2012
Otis B. Crawford, age 77 of Jacksonville passed away, Monday, April 9, 2012 at Baptist Springhill Medical Center in North Little Rock. He was born July 20, 1934 in Alexander, Arkansas to William and Leanna Porter Crawford. Mr. Crawford served in the US Air Force. He married Orean Dednam, who preceded him in death on March 13, 2010. Mr. Crawford was employed with Lamanco in Jacksonville for many years. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Otis was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Crawford, Harold Crawford and Joseph Crawford; two sisters, Valerie Crawford and Alice Thomas.
He is survived by his son, Dwight Crawford of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Tevin and Cydnee Cox; two sisters, Evengelina Higgins and Bobbie Gooding, both of Alexander.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. (501) 982-2136.

Frances Johnson
Frances O’Kelley Johnson, aged 93, of Little Rock, died Feb. 15, 2005, in Paducah, Ky. She was the widow of Dr. Glenn H. Johnson, Sr., who died in 1967, and she was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. She was born Jan. 16, 1912, in Columbus, Ga.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one son, Glenn H. Johnson, Jr.
Survivors are two sons, Dr. J. Jeff Johnson and wife, Suellen, of Paducah, Ky., and Kelley D. Johnson and wife, Jan of Little Rock; and daughter-in-law, Fayrene Johnson also of Little Rock; one sister, Mrs. Helen O. Hunt of Greenville, S.C.; six grandchildren, Cynthia J. Hill and husband, Ricky of Carlisle, Ark., John J. Johnson III, Dr. Polly J. LeBuhn and husband, Carl of Paducah, Ky., Jennifer Johnson of Nashville, Tenn., David D. Johnson of Louisville, Ky., and Cory G. Johnson and wife, Stephanie, of Little Rock, and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service was conducted Friday, February 18, at Roselawn cemetery, officiated by Reverend Steve Hancock, under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church of Little Rock.

Jeffery D. Crafford
Jeffery Douglas Crafford, 38, of Des Arc passed away Feb. 14, 2005. He was born on April 18, 1966.
He is survived by his parents, James and Linda Crafford and one sister, Tammy Puckett and husband, Teddy, all of Des Arc; greatgrandmother, Ella Walters and grandmother, Mary Lee Lester, both of Austin; 17 aunts and uncles, 17 cousins, three nieces and two nephews. His best friends were Jeff Williams and Todd Stiedle of Little Rock, with many other friends too numerous to name. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ola Mae and Lowell Crafford, George Hill and Carl Lester and an uncle, Clinton Hill.
Graveside service was held Friday, Feb. 18, at Johnson Chapel cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Home, with Rev. Allen Minton officiating. Otis Sephis Parker
Otis Sephis Parker, age 81, passed away Feb. 19, 2005. Otis was a Christian man with high morals and dedication to his family and his religion. He will always be remembered as a hard-working man who loved his farm. Otis was born Oct. 13, 1923, south of Lonoke, Ark. He eventually made his home south of Carlisle at Parkers Corner. Otis graduated from Carlisle High School as salutatorian of his class in 1941. In the fall of 1942, due to World War II, Otis left college to help his father on the farm. From this time forward he was a rice farmer, with his three sons joining him later. He married Pauline Thomas, the love of his life, in 1944, and they just celebrated their 60th anniversary. From 1963 to 1973, Otis served on the Carlisle School Board, three of those years as president. From 1935, Otis was a dedicated member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church. Otis enjoyed teaching Sunday School and also served in various leadership roles, including building chairman for its current building after the fire in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Thomas Parker; sons, Gary Parker (Carolyn), Dennis Parker (Leslee) and Jacques Parker, all of Carlisle; daughters, Linda Walker (Stan) of California and Cynthia Stack (Brian) of Florida; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren ; two brothers, Elton Parker and Robert Parker of Carlisle; sisters, Katharin Bailey of Little Rock and Dorothy Elmore of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lena Horne Parker; and brothers, Bernie and Alfred Parker.
Funeral services were Monday, February 21, at Hamilton Methodist Church, south of Carlisle, with interment in Hamilton cemetery. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Danny Dean Jacobs
September 6, 1962 - April 7, 2012
Danny Dean Jacobs of Jacksonville, born September 6, 1962 in Madrid, Spain went to meet Jesus on Saturday, April 7, 2012. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carla Jacobs.
Danny is survived by his wife Vonda of Jacksonville; son Joshua Jacobs and his wife Leah of Euless, Texas; son Jeremy Jacobs and his wife Johanna and grandson Ethan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter Ashley Jacobs and her fiancé Jonathan Freyer of Jacksonville; his mother and step-father, David and Norma Hasseberg of Quapaw, Oklahoma; father Elmer Jacobs of Haxtun, Colorado; father and mother-in-law, John and Shela Lang of Jacksonville; sisters, Vickie Bunce of Baxter Springs, Kansas; Cheryl Wood of Quapaw, Oklahoma; Barbara White and husband David of Galena, Kansas; Nina Martin and husband Ricky of Commerce, Oklahoma; Candace Belcher and husband Barry of Carl Junction, Missouri; Tanya Jacobs Robbins of Loveland, Colorado; brothers, Ricky Jacobs and his wife Liz of Peoria, Oklahoma; Michael Jacobs and his wife Lenor of Florence, Arizona; Rodney Jacobs of Loveland, Colorado;, Richard Jacobs and his wife Sharon of Loveland, Colorado; Raymond Jacobs of Loveland, Colorado; brother-in-law Johnny Lang and his wife Shawn of Jacksonville; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville.
A memorial fund has been established at Centennial Bank in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville with Rev. Brian Ryals and Rev. Greg Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.

Patrick H. Raborn
Patrick Hutchinson Raborn, surrounded by God’s Love and his wife by his bedside entered his eternal rest Friday, Feb. 18, 2005. He was born Feb. 26, 1943 and graduated from Carlisle High School in 1961. Upon receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Mississippi in 1965, he returned to Lonoke County where he used his college degree in a lifetime business in rice farming, where he was a wise steward of the land.
He was a dedicated Christian serving the Carlisle First United Methodist Church. He was a life member alumnus of the University of Mississippi. He served on the Carlisle Board of Education for five years and was a past President of the Carlisle Lion’s Club. He had a great love for his family, friends, bridge, Thoroughbred horse racing, duck hunting, golf and other sports.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Elsie Jane; a brother, David Hugh (Linda) of Hot Springs Village; two sons of Little Rock, Clark (Katherine) and Stephen (Laura); and three granddaughters.
There was a Celebration of Life Service at the First United Methodist Church in Carlisle on Sunday, Feb. 20.

Francine Williams
Francine Williams of DeValls Bluff died Sunday, February 27, 2005, in Little Rock at Arkansas Hospice. She was born September 18, 1919, in Georgia and was the widow of Warren Williams. Mrs. Williams is survived by two children, Kathryn Petty of Little Rock and J.W. Williams of Hazen. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at the Westbrook Funeral Home chapel in Hazen with burial in Oakland cemetery in DeValls Bluff.

Evalyn Edens
Evalyn Adams Rouse Edens, 85, of Bowling Green, Kentucky died on Sunday, February 27, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The daughter of the late Everett and Laura Adams. Mrs. Edens was born in Hazen, Arkansas, in 1919. Mrs. Edens was the widow of Isaac Christopher Rouse, who died in 1968, and William R. Edens, who died in 2004.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Rouse Moore and husband Richard of El Paso, Texas, two granddaughters, Susan Booth Moore and husband Adam Tschorn and Kathleen Adams Moore, all of Los Angeles. A sister, Wanda Knight of Little Rock, and brother, Everett Adams of Cabot, also survive her. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nadean Deckshot and a brother, Ellis Adams.
Mrs. Edens lived her adult years in North Little Rock, moving to Bowling Green in 1999. She worked at the American Cancer Society and the Methodist Children’s Home, and for many years owned and operated a restaurant in downtown Little Rock. After she retired, she was a volunteer in the North Little Rock Public Schools. She had suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for the past 15 years. For much of her adult life, she was member of the now defunct Washington Avenue Methodist Church of North Little Rock and the in later years was a Member of the First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock.
The Funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 in the chapel of North Little Rock’s First United Methodist Church. Interment was at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock. For those who may wish to make memorial gift, the family suggests contributions to the North Little Rock First United Methodist Church, 6701 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116. Funeral service conducted by Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home.

William Ralph Cox
William Ralph Cox, age 91, of Searcy died Sunday, February 27, 2005. He was born in Searcy, January 11, 1914, to W.E. Cox and Hallie Mae (Edge) Cox. He was a member of the West Race Baptist Church and retired from the Thompson Co. after more than 40 years of service.
He is survived by one daughter, Verna Payne and husband George of Searcy; three grandchildren, including Ann Gillham of DeValls Bluff; two great-grandchildren, including Tracey Gillham of DeValls Bluff; and one great great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Cox; parents, W.E. and Hallie Mae Cox; infant daughter, Becky Joy Cox; sisters, Mable Smith and Annie Marie Smith; brothers, Glenn Cox, Ross Cox, Roy Cox and L.V. "Buss" Cox.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 2 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Foster Chapel cemetery.

Grayce M. Bogard
Grayce M. Bogard, 74, of Little Rock passed away March 1, 2005, at home. She was born Feb. 12, 1931, in Hickory Plains, Ark., to Fitzsimmon and Blanche Ford Hood. Prior to her illness, she was an active member of St. Paul Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Baptist Training Union Director, Act Teen Director and choir member. She was a cosmetologist and educator who was a business owner. She taught at Arkansas School for the Deaf for several years, was a leader of the National Minority Alliance for Mental Illness, and was a Member of Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Theta Nu Sigma National Sorority.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Raymond Bogard, Sr., two sons, Raymond David Bogard Jr. and Myron Bernard Bogard (Helen), a daughter, Pamela Bogard Person, all of Little Rock; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, 11 siblings, Savannah Williams, Laverne McGowan, Cathy Beard and Joyce Neal, Roosevelt, John, Woodrow, Melvin, George, Lawrence and Fitzsimmons Hood Jr.; numerous loving brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
Funeral service were a.m. Monday, March 7, 2005, at St. Paul Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home.
