Idella Frankie English
OSCEOLA -- Idella Frankie English, age 85, of Osceola died of a heart attack Dec. 21 at GRC in Blytheville.
Born Jan. 16, 1920 at Clarksdale, Miss., she was a homemaker and a member of Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola, where she was a motherboard and usher until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda English, and one sister, Maxine Moore.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann English Cuble of Osceola; six sons, Charles Bryant of Little Rock, Arthur English and John English Jr., both of Chicago, Phillip English of Houston, Lee English of Dallas and Michael English of Osceola; a sister, Ardella McGuire of Wichita Falls, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola with the Rev. Houston McLendon officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery
in Osceola.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
Ruth Kieffer
AMAGON -- Ruth Lewis Kieffer, 76, of Amagon died Monday. She was born Nov. 14, 1929, at Balch, the daughter of Richard and Ada Bell Gill Lewis.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Kieffer, Jackie Kieffer and wife, Maggie, Mark Kieffer and wife, Faye, and Don Simpkins; daughter, Dana Fahr and husband, Kenny; one brother, one sister, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Weiner Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. tonight.
Arrangements are by Jackson's Newport Funeral Home.
Doris Jean McDaniel
TYRONZA -- Doris Jean McDaniel, age 75, of Tyronza died Monday, Dec. 26, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. She was a member of Tyronza First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hollis and Leila Wyche Freeman.
Survivors include her husband, Charles McDaniel, of Tyronza; a son, Mark McDaniel of Tyronza; a brother, John H. Freeman Jr. of Southaven, Miss.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. Tyronza First Baptist Church with Bro. Raymond Routon officiating. Interment will follow at Tyronza Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the church.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis is in charge of arrangements.

Odell McWilliams
BLYTHEVILLE -- Odell McWilliams, 81, of Blytheville died Sunday, Dec. 25, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He leaves his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Helen McWilliams, of Jonesboro; a daughter-in-law, Jean McWilliams, also of Jonesboro; a brother, Bob McWilliams, of Elaine; a sister, Novell Ridgeway, of Kokomo, Ind.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery
in Blytheville with Billy Holifield officiating.
There will be no visitation.

David V. Miller
LAJOLLA, Calif. -- David V. Miller Sr. of LaJolla, Calif., beloved husband of Gloria Hall Miller, formerly of Jonesboro, died Dec. 11 at his home, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born Feb. 23, 1924 in Canton, Ohio and served in the Army from 1943-1945 and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. David moved to San Diego in 1961 and was a manager at Hine Pontiac until his retirement in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Irma Hine Miller, and his uncle, John Hine Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Hall Miller; children, Dave and Lisa Miller and Kathryn and Ken Koch; stepchildren, George and Jeanne Henry Cole of Jonesboro and Fayetteville and Rick Hall, formerly of Jonesboro, and currently of Escondido, Calif.; and eight grandchildren, Jordan Henry of Jonesboro, Aaron and Brandon Hall, MacKenzie, Cassandra and Matthew Miller and Bryan and Kelly Koch, all of Calif.
A memorial service will be held Jan. 13 at Canyon View Church of Christ in San Diego. Interment will follow at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Ave., San Diego 92103.
Winnie Marie Pierce
LEACHVILLE -- Winnie Marie Pierce, age 81, of Leachville, the widow of T.J. Pierce, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.
Born at Yellville, she was the daughter of the late J.W. and Anne Doshier Patterson and had been a Leachville resident for more than 70 years. She was a retired bookkeeper for the former B.C. Land Co. in Leachville, a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a charter member of the Leachville PEO chapter AC.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Trent Pierce and Melissa, of West Memphis; daughter, Jo Annis Pierce of Little Rock; brother, J.W. Patterson Jr. of Little Rock; and two grandchildren, Meredith Pierce and Tyler Malloy Pierce.
Graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Leachville Cemetery
with the Rev. Earl Carter officiating. The family will receive visitors Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville and has asked that anyone sending memorials to consider the Leachville First United Methodist Church or the Leachville PEO Chapter AC at P.O. Helen Lucille Ragsdale
TRUMANN -- Helen Lucille Ragsdale, 79, of Trumann died Sunday, Dec. 25, at at the family residence.
Born in Trumann, she had lived in St. Louis for the past 26 years before moving back to Trumann in 1976. She was retired from McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis and was of the Protestant faith.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers and was the daughter of the late Edd and Allie Ethel Cartt Richardson.
Survivors include her husband, Noah Ragsdale, of the home; a son, Rick Ragsdale of Oakville, Mo.; a daughter, Carole Stahl of Hillsboro, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with the Rev. Frank Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in the Nettleton Cemetery
of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Richard E. Reiley
HARDY -- Richard E. Reiley, Marine veteran, 68, of Hardy died Monday, Dec. 26, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He is survived by two sons, Vincent and Venon Reiley; two daughters, Cristina Donahoe and Sherry Lynn Carter; a brother, Lum Reiley; a sister, Jacklynn Lilly; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother, a sister and a nephew.
Memorial service is today at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Assembly of God with Pastor Nathan Hubbard officiating.
Arrangements are handled by Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
Evelyn Simpson
PARAGOULD -- Evelyn Simpson, 92, of Paragould died Monday, Dec. 26, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh & Mueller Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons; eight daughters; thirty-nine grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Art Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Gainesville Cemetery.
Wilma J. Hamilton Sims
MANILA -- Wilma J. Hamilton Sims, 79, of Manila died Monday, Dec. 26, at Manila Nursing Center.
She leaves her children, Willie and Betty Sims and Linda and Jim Carr, of Blytheville, and Shirley Travis and Phyllis Sims, both of Sallisaw, Okla.; a brother, Pete Hamilton of Cushman; a sister, Lorene Fullbright of Cushman; a daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Sims of Blytheville; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are Thursday at 10 a.m. at Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
