Andrew Ross Adams, 25 of Fayetteville died Saturday, November 7, 2009 in Fayetteville. He was born August 28, 1984 in Springdale, Arkansas to James Adams and Susan Taggart F. Adams.
He was employed by the University of Arkansas as a computer programmer.
Survivors include his father, James Adams and his wife, Ellen Bruce of Combs; mother, Susan F. Adams of Gentry and a step-brother, Juba Bruce of Fayetteville.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7PM at Beard's Chapel on Thursday November 12, 2009.
The family requests that memorials take the form of donations to the Heifer International, PO Box 6021 Albert Lea, MN, 56007-6621.

Eleanor Marie Adams

Eleanor Marie Adams, 80, of Winslow died Friday, February 12, 2010 at her home.
She was born in Karnes County, Texas on April 10, 1929 to Fritz Wilhelm Rabe and Marie Hagedorn Rabe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Archie Adams of the home; 2 sisters, Erna Becker and Lydia Knight of Victoria, TX.; 2 daughters, Donna Mounce of Winslow and Linda Temple and husband Robert of Winfield Park, N.J.; 3 sons, Nelson Adams and wife Beverly, Howard Sanderson and Eric Adams; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Beard’s Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 P.M. with Perry Hall officiating.
Cremation arrangements by Beard’s Funeral Chapel and Crematory of Fayetteville.

William A. Fettinger

INTERMENT: Fayetteville National cemetery at 12PM on Thursday
William A. Fettinger, 94 of Brentwood died Monday, March 15, 2010 at his home.
He was born July 19, 1915 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Theodore Fettinger and Catherine Reinke Fettinger.
He was employed by the city of St. Paul, Minnesota as a firefighter and retired after 30 plus years as Fire Captain. He married the former Marjorie Hansen on September 17, 1938 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He served in the US Navy during WW II. He was a member the local VFW in Salem, OR and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell, AR
Survivors include his wife of 71 years Marjorie Fettinger of the home; daughter, Marilee and her husband, Steve Henderson of Brentwood; grandson, Mark and his wife, Jamie Henderson and a great-grandson, Jarrett Henderson.
Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell with Pastor Chuck Huebner officiating. Burial will follow at Fayetteville National cemetery at 12:00PM, under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
No visitation is scheduled.
The family requests that memorials take the form of donations to Grace Lutheran Church, 415 North 6th Place Lowell, AR 72745.

Larry Hillian

Larry Hillian, 62 of Fayetteville went to be with our Lord on January 18, 2010. He was born May 31, 1947 in Fayetteville to Opal and Myrl Hillian of Fayetteville and Ruth and Arch Irvin of Paris, AR. He was preceded in death by one of his fathers, Arch Irvin.
He was married to Tawana Hillian for 46 wonderful years. They had 2 sons, Mike Hillian and wife Connie of Fayetteville, Robert Hillian and wife Brandie of Fayetteville.
He has one brother, Gary Irvin of Fort Smith and 4 sisters,, Pat Childers of Clarksville, AR, Sandy Haney of Stillwell, OK, Katie Hillian of Fort Smith, Melanie Gonzalas of Paris, AR, 6 grandchildren, Barry Hillian, Michael Hillian and wife Melinda, Elissa Finch and husband, Will, Allison Hillian, Chris Hillian, Haley Hillian; 2 great-granddaughters, Chloe Hillian and Lilly Finch and many nieces and nephews.
He was owner and operator of an Auto body and Mechanic repair shop and cattle farmer. He was a member of the Wedington Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and his grandkids and great-granddaughters.
Funeral service will be 4:00PM, Thursday, January 21, 2009 at Beard's Chapel with Sandy Statham officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Comfort cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
The family will receive friends at Beard's Chapel from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday

Joyce L. (Elkins) Hulse
January 1, 1933 - February 15, 2010
Fayetteville, Arkansas

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10AM, Friday at Mt. Comfort Church of Christ
INTERMENT: Mt. Comfort cemetery
Joyce L. (Elkins) Hulse, 77 of Fayetteville died Monday, February 15, 2010 in Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born January 1, 1933 in Lavaca, Arkansas the daughter of Emmett E. Elkins and Vera Boyd Elkins.
She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Vera Elkins, husband, Howard H. Hulse, sister, Doris E. Hoskins. She graduated Valedictorian of Elkins High School in 1951 and attended the U of A. She worked for McCord Ozark Wholesale Grocery on Dickson and owned and operated Farmers Market Grocery of Center St. She was a member of North Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Russell Hulse of Fayetteville; 3 step-sons, Greg Hulse, Danny Hulse and Randy Hulse all of Fayetteville; a step-daughter, Cathy Robins of Kiefer, OK; 5 brothers; Carroll Elkins (wife, Nancy), Don Elkins (wife, Stella), Terry Elkins, Nick Elkins (wife, Sara), all of Fayetteville, and Emmett J. (Jerry) Elkins of Ft. Worth; 3 sister; Peggy Knepel, of Tulsa, and Darlene Davis (husband, Steve), of Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; also survived by 18 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Friday, February 19, 2010 at Mt. Comfort Church of Christ with Mr. Nathan Jorgenson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Comfort cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
The family will receive friends at Beard's Chapel from 5 to 7PM on Thursday.

Bernell Nelson King, 73, of Winslow died Wednesday November 11, 2009 at his home. He was born February 10, 1936 in Nicholas, West Virginia the son of William D. and Ethel Duncan King.
He was a retired from the Wood Working business.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Moore King of the home; 4 sons, James Dean King and Steve B. King both of Charleston, West Virginia, Richard Bernell King and wife Jessica of Winslow and Mark N. King of Fayetteville; 1- daughter, Laura King Gordon of Rogers; 1-sister, Goldie Bess of Fenwick, West Virginia and 6 grandchildren.
The family will have a memorial service celebrating his life, Saturday at 2:00 P.M. November 14, 2009 at the home 13235 Oak Grove Road Winslow, AR 72959 phone 479-530-5460.

Rebecca L. Lierly, 55, of Fayetteville died Wednesday January 27, 2010 in Fayetteville. She was born March 10, 1954 in Fayetteville the daughter of Raymond and Louise Williams Lierly. She work in Food Service for the University of Arkansas for several years.
She is survived by her sister, Joanne Lierly Porter of Fayetteville; 2-nieces, Deidra Lierly, Denise Barker and husband, Jerome; 4-nephews, Shaun Lierly, Jim Lierly and wife, Charlotte, Steve Porter and Danny Porter; 5-great-nephews, Trevor and Kobe Barker, Benjamin, Jake, and Gabriel Lierly.
Memorial Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday February 2, 2010 at Bethel Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Susan Kelley officiating.
Cremation was by Beard’s Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

Corrine Elizabeth Miner of Elkins died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at her home.
She was the daughter of Ralph Uhl and Ada Ellen Andrews.
She was owner and operator of Elkins Beauty Shop for 51 years and was preceded in death by her husband, Granville 'Babe' Miner and a son, William Ray Miner. She had been a resident of Elkins for 57 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Ledford of Elkins; sister, Delores Tuck of Fayetteville; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00PM, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Glen Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens cemetery follow the service under the direction of Beard's Chapel.

Roger Ellsworth Mitchell

INTERMENT: Fairview cemetery
Roger Ellsworth Mitchell, 96 of Fayetteville entered into his heavenly home Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born May 14, 1913 in Fort Monroe, Virginia, the son of Marion Ellis Mitchell and Clara Williamson Mitchell.
He was a dedicated, hard-working man of principle and integrity. His passions were God, his family, and his country. His patriotism and love for country were evident in his life’s career choice. He was a retired Veteran and served twenty-two years in the United States Army. His service included World War II and the Korean Conflict; he was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Following his active duty service, he worked at the University of Arkansas in the ROTC and Physical Plant departments. He was a member for over fifty years at the Buckner Baptist Church where he served on the board of deacons. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, working with tools and desserts. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a way of making everyone who came into contact with him feel special and unique. He had many special gifts, but one of his greatest character traits was his ability to make others laugh and smile; he enjoyed laughter, jokes and sharing stories of his childhood and military experiences, especially with his grandchildren. He was a treasure, and will greatly be missed by those who loved and knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Sarah Mildred Davenport Mitchell, in 2001.
Survivors include 2 sons, Larry and his wife, Mary Mitchell of Farmington, Jim and his wife, Regina Mitchell of Springdale; daughter, Cheryl and her husband, Mike Clark of Claremore, OK; brother, Donald Mitchell of Elizabethtown, KY; 7 grandchildren, Larry Brian and his wife, Reagan Mitchell, James Brent and his wife, Misty Mitchell, William Brock Mitchell, Ashley Leigh Mitchell, Cassie Dawn Clark, Evan Reid Clark, Dustin Mitchell Clark; and 6 great-grandchildren, Bayle Mitchell, Chanlr Mitchell, Aidan Mitchell, Ansley Mitchell, Kyndra Bingham, Blake Clark.
Funeral services will be at 2PM Monday, February 22, 2010 at Buckner Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Mitchell and Rev. Mike Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends at Beard's Chapel from 2 to 4PM on Sunday.

Mildred Ruby Parrish

Mildred Ruby Parrish, 86, of Cullman, Alabama passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 in Cullman. She was born to Gilbert and Cleo Smith Landelius on January 20, 1924 in Winslow, AR.
She is survived by her husband Melvin Parrish of the home; her older sister, Melva Parrish of Fayetteville, AR.; 3 sons, Bill Parrish and wife Phyllis of Jasper, AL., Russell Parrish and wife Mickey of Cullman, AL. and Larry Parrish and wife Charla of Birmingham, AL.; daughter, Denise Bates and husband Larry of Jasper, AL.; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Beard’s Chapel with Pastor Lynville Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Baptist Ford cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
The family will receive friends at Beard's Chapel from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday.
