Alfred Smith

PIGGOTT -- Alfred "Frosty" Smith, 83, of Piggott passed away Sunday, Jan.1, 2006.

He retired after 18 years from the Arkansas Transportation Commission.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Nora Bell Dudley Smith; and one brother, Roy.

Survivors include his wife, Louise; two daughters, Sharon Hogue and Donna Seal, all of Piggott; a brother, Jim Smith of Midland, Texas; sisters, Willa Dean Haley of Festus, Mo., and Faye Cantrell of Arlington, Texas.

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Chapel.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today.

Mildred Waller

TRUMANN -- Mildred Virginia Waller, 85, of Trumann died Saturday at the family residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be anounced by Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Jimmy Dwain Bagwell

POWHATAN -- Jimmy Dwain Bagwell, 57, of Powhatan passed away Sunday.

Survivors include two sons, William Bagwell of Powhatan and Jimmy Bagwell of Black Rock; one stepson, David Midgett of Walnut Ridge; one stepdaughter, Candy Story of Ravenden; four grandchildren; one brother, Alfred Bagwell of Searcy; and two sisters, Vera Cunningham and Vida Faye Horton, both of California.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Markham Cemetery under the direction of the Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie.

Robert Lee Billips

PARAGOULD -- Robert Lee Billips, 40, of Paragould passed away Monday.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Billips of Pocahontas; daughter, Andrea Caldwell of Mammoth Spring; granddaughter; his father, Calvin Billips; his mother, Pearl Jean Billips; four brothers, Calvin Leon Billips, Charles Wayne Billips, Mark Everett Billips and Christopher McCary Billips, all of Paragould; and grandfather, D.C. Billips of Pocahontas.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bryan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Lorado Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

Billie Bostick Chapman

WYNNE -- Billie Bostick Chapman, 85, of Wynne died Sunday, Jan. 1.

She was born at Wynne, the daughter of Lawrence Toliver and Clara Beatrice Price Bostick.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ralph, Everett and Glen Bostick; and two sisters, Fern McDaniel and Thelma Cole.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Conner, Rita Pilcher and Cindy Chapman; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne. Interment will be in Cogbill Cemetery at Wynne.

Franklin E. Chase

CHERRY VALLEY -- Franklin E. Chase, 71, of Cherry Valley died Saturday, Dec. 31.

He was born at Cherry Valley, the son of Robert Lee and Luvenia Mays Chase.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe Chase.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Chase; a son, Gene Chase of Mayflower; a daughter, Regina Woolbright of Cherry Valley; and a sister, Faye Lewellen of Horn Lake.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne. Interment will be in Hand Cemetery at Cherry Valley.

Hunter Kyle Coggins

JONESBORO -- Hunter Kyle Coggins, infant child of Daniel Coggins and Sara Langston, died Dec. 22, 2005, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Survivors include a brother, Jonathan Austin Langston of Jonesboro, and his grandparents, Diana and David West and Debra Brown, all of Jonesboro, and Bobby and Lou Langston and Randy Coggins, all of Brookland.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pine Hill Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.

David J. Cutburth

IMBODEN -- David J. Cutburth, 59, died at Randolph County Medical Center Friday.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; a son, Michael Cutburth of Imboden; two daughters, Kellie Carlile of Reno, Nev., and Kathrine Cunningham of Hannibal, Mo.; a brother, John Cutburth, of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Beshears of New London, Mo., and Patricia Cutburth of Independence, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home, with interment following at Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at McNabb's.

Jerry Earnest

CORNING -- Jerry Earnest, 59, of Corning died Jan. 1, 2006, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

He was a self-employed well driller and a member of Millhouse General Baptist Church in Corning. He was united in marriage to Glenda Faye Moore on March 18, 1966; she survives.

Also surviving are three sons, James Earnest and Matt Earnest, both of Corning, and Wayne Earnest of Piggott; a brother, Bobby Earnest of Dexter, Mo.; two sisters, Gladys Hoag and Betty Caldwell, both of Corning; and four grandchildren, Sean Turner, Jordan Earnest, Jarrett Earnest and Michael Earnest.

Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. today at Ermert Funeral Home of Corning. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Corning Cemetery.

Lowell Curtis Eubanks

PARAGOULD -- Lowell Curtis Eubanks, 76, of Paragould died Jan. 1, 2006, at his residence.

Born March 21, 1929, near Beech Grove, he was a retired Greene County road foreman, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Newton Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Melvin Howard and Judy and Scott Downs, all of Paragould; a sister, Jean Harrelson Bryant of Paragould; two nephews, Jeff and Steve Harrelson; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Mason and Idella Eubanks; his wife, Ova Jean Eubanks; and two brothers, Arthur and George Max Eubanks.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchell Funeral Home, with L.R. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Bell, Wayne Stallcup, Cody Harrelson, Manuel Johnson, Kenny Hudgens, Wayne White, Doyle Johnson and Jerry White.

Ellis Goff

TRUMANN -- Ellis Goff, 75, of Trumann, died Saturday, Dec. 31, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born in Trumann and was a lifetime resident and retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers and his parents, Thomas and Nellie Nichols Goff.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Goff of the home; a daughter, Lavinda Corbin of Redondo Beach, Calif., a granddaughter, Mikala Corbin of Redondo Beach; two brothers, Jim D. Goff and Joseph Goff, both of Harrisburg; and a sister, Elsie McDaniel of East Peoria, Ill.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Marked Tree Cemetery, with Joe Mitchell officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
