John H. Rima
John H. "Big John" Rima, 72, of Hot Springs died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at home.
Born July 18, 1926, in St. Louis, he was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Hot Springs Lodge 380 BPOE and 40/8 of American Legion. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret L. Rima, and his parents, Frank L. and Anna Hyde Rima.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, John E. and Vickie Rima, Michael D. and Diane Rima and Mark A. and Susan Rima, all of Hot Springs, and Kevin A. and Barbara Rima of Fairbanks, Alaska; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Zillmier of Nokomis, Fla.; nieces; and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Gross Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father James West as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary cemetery with military honors by Thaddeus H. Caraway Post 2278 VFW honor guard.

Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.

The family will be at the home of John E. Rima, 104 Southern Hills.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or United Cerebral Palsy.

Margaret Rowe
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE - Margaret Rowe, 80, of Hot Springs Village died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Gross Funeral Home chapel.

Arrangements will be announced by Gross Funeral Home.

Ann A. Wallman
Ann Almedia Wallman, 91, of Hot Springs died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in a local hospital.
Born Dec. 10, 1907, in Garland County, she was a member of Eastern Star and Hot Springs Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Wallman, and her parents, Louis and Rosa Kassaw.

Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Jester of Hot Springs and Grace Chunn of Arkadelphia; nieces; and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Craver officiating.

Pallbearers will be Louie Albright, Robert Chunn, Roger Owens, Marshal Kassaw, Bruce Albright and Doug Kassaw.

Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery, Royal.

Geneva Wingfield
ANTOINE - Geneva Wingfield, 86, of Antoine died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, in an Arkadelphia hospital.
Born Aug. 23, 1912, in Okolona to Robert and Lula Belle James Morris, she was a Okolona General Store clerk and member of Antoine Church of Christ. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe H. Wingfield and one son, Lonnie J. Wingfield.

Survivors include one daughter, June Stubblefield of Virginia Beach, Va.; one daughter-in-law, Betty Wingfield of Arkadelphia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Antoine cemetery with the Rev. Garland Brackett officiating.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Arrangements are by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.

Robert A. Yount
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE - Robert A. Yount, 71, of Hot Springs Village died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, in a local hospital.
Born May 11, 1927, in Shelbyville, Ky., to Robert Kyle and Margaret Helen Aynes Yount, he was an analytical chemist and physicist for B.F. Gdrich and SouthWest Laboratories, U.S. Navy veteran, Gideon and member of Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity and Balboa Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Clark Yount; one son, David Yount of Shawnee, Okla.; two daughters, Jayne Simpson of Huntingdon, Tenn., and Elizabeth Sandel of Houston; and four grandchildren, Sarah Simpson, Rob Simpson, Caitlyn Yount and Aaron Yount.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Balboa Baptist Church with Dr. Kenny Mre officiating and Saturday in Shelbyville at Shannon Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers are Donald Mott, Tom Aishman, Howard Davis and Norm Runnels.

Burial will be in Bagdad cemetery, Bagdad, Ky.

Memorials may be made to Balboa Baptist Church or Gideons.

Local arrangements are by CedarVale Funeral Home.

Naoma C.G. Easley
Services for Naoma Carpenter Gibson Easley, 92, of Hot Springs who died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, will be 10 a.m Thursday at Valley cemetery, Bismarck.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Greg Garrison
Services for Greg Garrison, 44, of Hot Springs who died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with Pastors Larry Davis and Sherman Iverson officiating. Friends are requested to bring Arkansas Razorback flags for the processional to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mac Fry, Danny Mackey, Bob Carhart, Terry Bates, Terry Kent, Greg Gilbert, L.M. Jester and George Green.

Honorary pallbearers are Casey Wadlow, Bob Gray, Terry Wrinkle, Joey Chamblee, Rob Jones, Greg Gardner, Kevin Eichenhour, Mr. Speedy Car Care employees, Nathan Harbert, Euell Paul and Monte Everhart. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Building Fund, Boy Scouts of America or Ouachita Children's Center.

Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Florence W. Helms
MALVERN - Florence Weise Helms, 81, of Malvern died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, in a Hot Spring County hospital.
Born Dec. 10, 1917, in Saline County to Oswald and Manie Langley Weise, she was a member of the Harmony Grove High Schl half-court basketball state championship team, seamstress and Sunday Schl teacher at First Assembly of God. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Harold Helms, a brother, sister and two grandsons.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Gerald Harris of Malvern and June and Tom Stevens of Stamps; a son and daughter-in-law, James H. and LaDonna Helms of Russellville; four grandchildren; a brother, Oswald Weise Jr. of Little Rock; two sisters, Inez Ryburn of Benton and Kathleen Mre of Norman, Okla.; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in First Assembly of God Church of Malvern with the Revs. Don Nordin and Larry Mre officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Michael Helms, Mark McGuire, Randal Stevens, Greg Reap, James Pennington, Mike Burris, Rick Wilson and Danny Ormand.

Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Church Library Fund.

The family will be at 1216 Locust St.

Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.

James D. Johnson Jr.
LAKE CITY, Fla. - James Donaldson Johnson Jr., 90, of Lake City, Fla., died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999.
Born in Texarkana to James Donaldson and Allie Pearl McAnnaly Johnson Sr., he attended Arkansas College in Batesville and University of Arkansas, was a retired district maintenance engineer for Florida Department of Transportation, member of Gideons International and deacon emeritus at First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Edna Mae Johnson; one son, James Donaldson Johnson III of Fort Thomas, Ariz.; one daughter, Donna Jean Ellis of Mayo, Fla.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret E. Harrison of Hot Springs, nieces and nephews.

Services were Tuesday, Feb. 23, at First Presbyterian Church.

Burial was in Forest Lawn cemetery.

Arrangements were by Sherrill-Guerry Funeral Home.

Ben J. Power
MORRILTON - Ben Jackson Power, 75, of Morrilton died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999.
Born Jan. 11, 1924, in Helena to Leslie E. and Mamie Elizabeth Landers Power, he was a graduate of Missionary Baptist Seminary Schl in Little Rock, and Missionary Baptist minister in Alabama and Arkansas. He was predeceased by his wife, Madine Floyd Power.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Power; two sons, John Power of Little Rock and Roger Power of Morrilton; one stepson, David Garrett of Ola; one daughter, Priscilla Steigler of Beebe; one sister, Eva Mre of Benton; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday, Feb. 22, at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home chapel.

Burial was in Fairplay cemetery, Malvern.

Jay S. Randall
LITTLE ROCK - Jay Scott Randall, 39, of Little Rock died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999.
He was an actor and director, founder and producing director of Shakespeare Festival of Arkansas, favorite of Murry's Dinner Playhouse and standardized patient trainer at UAMS.

Survivors include his wife, Leigh Anne Embrey Randall; his mother, Yvonne Randall of Little Rock; one sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Keith Billingsley of Little Rock; and one brother, Mark Randall of Murray, Ky.

Services will be nn Thursday at First Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Martin McGeachy, Karen Akin and David May officiating.

Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to Baker House Presbyterian Church, Jay Randall Memorial Fund, 6105 W. 32nd St., Little Rock, AR 72204; or Shakespeare Festival of Arkansas, 616 Center St., Little Rock, AR 72201.
