The memorial service for James Buren Worley, 60, of Hot Springs, who died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, will be 6 p.m. today in Old Country Church.

Arrangements are by Gross Funeral Home.

Robert W. Yarnell
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE - Robert Walker Yarnell, 80, of Hot Springs Village died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in a Hot Springs hospital.

Born June 9, 1922, at Hutchinson, Kan., to Leo and Cora Walker Yarnell, he was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, graduate of Kansas State University, Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. retiree, past member of Men's 18 Hole Golf Association, member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Village Men's Chorus, Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild, Hot Springs Village Choir, Village Concert Association and Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church. He was predeceased by one brother, Warren Yarnell.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marie Platt Yarnell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Maribeth Yarnell of Wichita, Kan., and Christopher and Gay Yarnell of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Kimberly Miller of Liberal, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and one nephew.

The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines with Dr. Michael D. Seitz and the Rev. Sam H. Pope officiating.

The body will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines music fund, 275 Asturias Drive, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909.

Arrangements are by Hot Springs Village Cremation and Memorial Society.

Carl Alpers, 73, died Nov. 30, 2002.

Arrangements will be announced by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

William V. Arvold Jr.
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE - The service for William Vernon Arvold Jr., 82, of Hot Springs Village, who died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hot Springs Village Bible Church with Dr. Mark Cain and the Rev. Ray Glen officiating.

The body will be cremated.

Arrangements are by Caruth Village Funeral Home.

Cleda R. Fagan
AMITY - Cleda Runyan Fagan, 67, of Amity died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002.

Born July 9, 1935, at Amity to J.P. and Clara Edra Lambert Runyan, she was a Levi Strauss employee, Sweet Home cemetery, Bethsaida cemetery and Sweet Home Church Sunday schl secretary, and member of Sweet Home Church. She was predeceased by twin infant sons, Ronny and Randy Fagan.

Survivors include her husband, Sonny Fagan of Amity; one son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Theresa Fagan of Malvern; two grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Fagan; one brother, Roland Runyan of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Nelda Williams of Amity; nieces; and nephews.

The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sweet Home Church with the Rev. Bill Freeman officiating.

Burial will be in Sweet Home cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.

Arrangements are by Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwd.

Robert L. Grimes
Robert Louis Grimes, 62, of Hot Springs died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at home.

Born April 3, 1940, at Memphis, Tenn., to Clyde M. and Marion Grimes, he was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, 589.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Mary Grimes of Hot Springs.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic Church.

The body will be cremated.

Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 to 6 p.m. today.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic Church or Humane Society.

Herman Holzschuh
Herman Holzschuh, 95, of Hot Springs died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, in a local hospital.

Born Sept. 15, 1907, at Northwest, Iowa, he was a member of Second Baptist Church, active in jail and prison ministry and the Gideons.

The service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Chuck McAlaster and the Revs. Mike Smith and Rodney Masteller officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Second Baptist men's adult class, Ed and Thelma Vetter and Ken and Naomi Horner.

Burial will be in Morning Star cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday.

Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Nancy R. Kyle
Nancy Riley Kyle, 95, of Hot Springs died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in a local hospital.

Born Oct. 15, 1907, in Garland County to George and Melvina Teal Riley, she was a homemaker and Pentecostal. She was predeceased by two husbands, Harris Fowler and Clyde Kyle; six brothers; four sisters; two great-great-granddaughters; and one son-in-law, T.W. Wilcox.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Aleen Kyle of Hot Springs; one daughter, Helen Wilcox of Hot Springs; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hot Springs Funeral Home chapel with Brothers Jerry Stewart and Ronnie Vanderslice officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Kyle, Mike Waddle, Brian Waddle, Jeff Waddle, Steven Breshears and Chad Wilcox.

Honorary pallbearers are Pat Powell, Temple of Jesus Name Church, Bates Community Church, Greg Breshears, Roger Coble, Ines Breshears, Brother Jim Wiggly, Sister Teresa Wiggly, Edna Emmett, Dr. Kyle Roper and Dr. Gregory Whorton.

Burial will be in Morning Star cemetery.

Norma B. Landen
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE - Norma B. Landen, 79, of Hot Springs Village died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, in a local hospital.

Born Aug. 14, 1923, at Stuttgart to Conrid Clyde and Christine Leibrock Berry, she was a University of Arkansas graduate, member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Presbyterian Women's Association and Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines.

Survivors include her husband, Gustav E. "Skip" Landen of Hot Springs Village; two sons, Kris Landen of Conway and Berry Landen of Hot Springs Village; one brother, Clyde Berry Jr. of Queen City, Texas; and one sister, Mary Sue Hauck of New York.

The service will be 10 a.m. Monday in Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines with Dr. C. Michael Seitz and Mack Travis officiating.

The body will be cremated.

Arrangements are by Caruth Village Funeral Home.

Lois Mre
Lois Mre, 60, of Hot Springs died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, in a local hospital.

Born April 23, 1942, at Hot Springs, to Earl and Wilma Bryant Mre, she was Baptist.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Greg Jeffers of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles "Bubba" and Michelle Allman; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Mre of Newport News, Va.; and three grandchildren, Colin Allman, Zane Jeffers and Hayden Jeffers.

The service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Dr. Craig Price officiating.

Pallbearers will be Don Nelson, Carl Lee Bryant, David Bryant, Phil Smith and George Jones.

Honorary pallbearers are Randall Jeffers, Dr. Troy Oxner, Dr. Michael Mullins and Hot Springs Pulmonology Group.

Burial will be in Greenwd cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
