Homer 'Junior' Greeno

WEINER -- Homer "Junior" Greeno, 75, of Weiner died Saturday, Jan. 28, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

He was born in Harrisburg, was a retired farmer and served in the Navy from 1948-1950. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Shriners. He was also a member of Cardinal Lodge No. 677 in Weiner, the Sahara Temple in Pine Bluff and the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Willie "Bill" McDaniel Greeno of the home; one son, Mark Greeno of Weiner; three daughters, Terrie Baker of Little Rock and Sissy Lynn and Carol Baker, both of Weiner; one brother, Wayne "Wick" Greeno of Weiner; three sons-in-law, Roger Baker, Allen Lynn and Philip Baker; and eight grandchildren, Jana Greeno Haney and Kevin Haney, both of Little Rock, Summer Lynn Young and Scott Young, both of Conway and Jake Baker, Judd Baker, Kain Greeno and Haiden Greeno all of Weiner.

Active pallbearers will be Donald, Gary, Darrell, Troy, and John Greeno and Rodney Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Betty McIlvoy, Nadine McIlvoy, Roy Wiles, Danny McDaniel, Tony and Tracy Sullins, Jake and Judd Baker, Kain and Haiden Greeno and the Masons and Shriners.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel in Weiner, with Wendall Jackson and Jimmy Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow in Waldenburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Weiner.

Memorials may be made to the Weiner Fire Department.

Anthony James Hamm

GOSNELL -- Anthony James Hamm, infant son of James and Danielle Hires Hamm of Gosnell, died Friday at his residence.

He was born Dec. 5, 2005 at Blytheville.

In addition to his parents, survivors include two sisters, Brianna Hires and Kelly Hires, both of Gosnell; his grandparents, Sandra and James Hamm of Blytheville and Anita and Ted Gulick of Wilcox, Ariz.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Blytheville, with the Rev. Robert Cox officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.

Alma Lucille Cole Knott

JONESBORO -- Alma Lucille Cole Knott, 87, of Jonesboro died Saturday at her daughter's home in Jonesboro.

A native and lifelong resident of Jonesboro, Mrs. Knott was a retired bookkeeper in private business. She was a longtime member of Walnut Street Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, church secretary and bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Knott; her parents, John William Henderson Cole and Zilla A. Castleberry Cole; two brothers, Fred Cole and John Cole; and four sisters, Jewell Redd, Edith Schwieter, Ernestine Cole and Lois Wallace.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Schwoerer of Cordova, Tenn., and Beverly White of Jonesboro; a sister, Marion Hayes of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Scarlet Densmore of Cordova, Jessica Gillespie of Marion and Steven White of Jonesboro; and a great-grandson, Parker Densmore of Cordova.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro, with Curtis Shatley officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Mark Crain, Shawn Densmore, Jeremy Gillespie, Mike Hinson, Bill Graham and Jim Cole.

Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

For lasting memorials the family asks that consideration be given to the Walnut Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 1910 Scenic Drive, Jonesboro 72401.

Randy Long

JONESBORO -- Randy Long, 48, of Jonesboro, died Sunday morning at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Robbins Long of the home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home.

Johnie Ray Nix

ASH FLAT -- Johnie Ray Nix, 97, was born March 4, 1908, to Johnie Robert and Ella Causbic Nix, and died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006.

He lived all his life in the Ash Flat area. He was a Christian, the oldest member of Ash Flat United Methodist Church and a lifelong farmer.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Ash Flat United Methodist Church, with Johnny Carter officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will follow in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat, with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Devone Northcutt

STRAWBERRY -- Devone Northcutt, 79, of Strawberry died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at Jonesboro.

She was born Oct. 29, 1926, at Saffell to James Henry and Donia Richmond Huskey. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery near Dowdy, with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

Neal Webster

SWIFTON -- Mr. Neal Webster, 75, of Swifton died Sunday in Swifton.

He was born to George Archie and Odie Holt Webster in Texola, Okla.

His parents; son, Steven Michael Webster; one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Pennington Webster, Swifton; children, Douglas Webster, Fulton, Mo., and Jayne Wagster, Swifton; grandchildren, Eric, Douglas, and Christopher Webster and Abbe Wagster; five brothers; and one sister.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Mount Zion Cemetery at Steele, Mo. The Revs. Teddy Rhea and Waymon Holt will officiate.

Buster Beard

NEWPORT -- Buster "Buck" Beard, 81, of Newport, died Tuesday. Mr. Beard was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean War.

Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Doris Beard of Weldon, and Marcus L. and Joy Beard of Lavaca; two sisters, Edith Grigsby, and Betty Ellis and husband Jim, all of Weldon; and one sister-in-law, Louise Beard of Weldon.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. today at Sandhill Cemetery with Mr. Paul Clayton officiating.

Arrangements are by Jackson's Newport Funeral Home.

Patsy Jean Burrow

HARRISBURG -- Mrs. Patsy Jean Burrow 75, of Harrisburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Trumann, she had lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann and Harrisburg areas. She was retired from the Singer Company and of the Church of God belief. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Burrow in 1976; two sons, Johnny Lee Burrow and James Harold Burrow; two brothers, Charles and Billy Chamberlain; and was the daughter of the late Charlie V. and Vera Bell Chamberlain.

Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine Bailey of Harrisburg; two sons, Jerry Wayne Burrow of Chocowinity, N.C., and Jimmy Burrow of Harrisburg; six sisters, Irene Crawford of Harrisonville, Mo., Lou Taylor Chamberlain, Lois Gosney, Sherry Dement and Thersa South, all of Jonesboro, and Virginia Chamberlain of Crystal City, Mo.; three brothers, James Chamberlain of Michigan City, Ind., Ronnie Chamberlain and Eugene Chamberlain, both of Jonesboro; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. James Leon Minic officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Burrow Jr., Jeff Burrow, Jody Burrow, Keith Gosney, Eric Holt and Kevin Browning.

Edward Hernandez Callahan

EVENING SHADE -- Edward Hernandez Callahan, 76, of Evening Shade died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Baxter County Regional Hospital in Mountain Home. He was a dental technician. He was the son of the late Eddie Callahan and the late Mercedes Hernandez Callahan.

He is survived by his daughter, Nora Callahan Jones of Evening Shade; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private funeral services were held at Wiles Cemetery on Wednesday in Ash Flat under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
