OLLIE KITCHENS
HOPE, Ark. - Ollie Kitchens, 88, of Fulton, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Kitchens was born March 7, 1915, in Belcher, La. She was a retired waitress and a Jehovah's Witness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Don Kitchens; two daughters; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include two sons - in - law, Ken Spearman of Tyler, Texas, and Cordell Powell of Oklahoma City; one sister, Maude Hodge of Texarkana; a special friend, Debbie Owens; 10 grandchildren; and a number of great - grandchildren and other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Herndon Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

WILLIAM JACKSON
ASHDOWN, Ark. - William B. Jackson, 82, of Foreman, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, in a local hospital.

Mr. Jackson was born Sept. 8, 1921, in Winthrop, Ark. He was a Civilian Conservation Corps worker, former employee of Doc Bush's Saw Mill and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes; one stepson, Walter Cooper; and one stepdaughter, Diretha Cooper.

Survivors include six stepdaughters, Ruth Ringgold, Linda Bowman and Anita Pippin of Ashdown and Betty Foran, Bethel Dossett and Barbara McNutt of Winthrop; two sisters, Elizabeth Stevens of Denison, Texas, and Lena Morgan of Odessa, Texas; 19 stepgrandchildren; and a number of stepgreat - grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Campground Cemetery with Fred Smith and Audie Dawson officiating. Burial will be under direction of Madden Funeral Services.

ARNOLD CRAIN
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - Arnold A. Crain, 80, of Siloam Springs, formerly of McNeil, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Crain was born May 21, 1923, in Cove, Ark. He was the owner of Crain's Body Shop, Magnolia, Ark., a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and McNeil Masonic Lodge and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Jean Crain; one son, James Arnold Crain of Minden, La.; four daughters, Cheryl Jean Hill and Susan Gail Crain of Siloam Springs, Teresa Ann Taylor of El Dorado, Ark., and Carolyn Diane Durham of Centerton, Ark.; one sister, Lola Nabors of Lubbock, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 11 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Bethel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Dennis Taylor, Walter Durham and Joel Betow officiating. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Magnolia, under direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

ELMER HAMPTON
STAMPS, Ark. - Elmer Hampton, 91, of Stamps died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, in Jackson, Tenn.

Mr. Hampton was born May 8, 1912, in Oklahoma. He was a former employee of the City of Hope, Ark., and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Hampton; and one daughter, Linda Teague.

Survivors include one daughter and son - in - law, Wanda and Jim McSwain of Jackson, Tenn.; one son - in - law, Lester Teague of Buckner, Ark.; four grandchildren, Chad Teague of Stamps, Tracy Jeffus of El Dorado, Ark., Jim McSwain of Bismark, Ark., and Beverly Cook of Lawson, Mo.; seven great - grandchildren; and three great - great - grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Shiloh Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Loyd officiating. Burial will be under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

RODERICK WALKER
HOPE, Ark. - Roderick Walker, 30, of Murfreesboro, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, in a local hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Hicks Funeral Home.

SARAH MORGAN
De QUEEN, Ark. - Sarah Hoover Austin Morgan, 69, of Winthrop, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, in Ashdown, Ark.

Mrs. Morgan was born May 7, 1934, in Cerrogordo, Ark. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loye Gene Austin.

Survivors include two sons, Al Austin of Winthrop and Rick Austin of Westminster, Md.; three daughters, Teressa Finch of Hot Springs, Ark., Dena Armstrong of Buras, La., and Tayna Fawcett of Winthrop; two brothers, Sundown Hoover of Winthrop and Bill Hoover of Foreman, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; six great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Baptist Church, Crossroads, Ark., with Virgil Romine officiating. Burial will be in Pauley Cemetery under direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

Visitation will be noon until service time Thursday at the church.

ERA PENDERGRASS
De QUEEN, Ark. - Era Mae Clenney Pendergrass, 93, of Horatio, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at her home.

Mrs. Pendergrass was born March 29, 1910, in DeKalb, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of Dilworth Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Pendergrass, in 1975.

Survivors include three daughters and one son - in - law, Enois Temple of Little Rock, Ruth and Charles Greer of Colleyville, Texas, and Mary Blackwood of Mesquite, Texas; one sister, Myrtle Addington of De Queen; seven grandchildren; 14 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Wall officiating. Burial will be in Millwee Cemetery.

FAYE NOLTE
STAMPS, Ark. - Faye Nolte, 91, of Taylor, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, in a Springhill, La., hospital.

Mrs. Nolte was born Sept. 2, 1912, in Bradley, Ark. She was a homemaker and member of Forrest Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred William Nolte; and one grandson, Billy Bland Jr.

Survivors include one son, Fredrick William "Billy" Nolte of Jonesboro, Ark.; two daughters, Joan Bland and Linda Umphries of Taylor; eight grandchildren; 14 great - grandchildren; and two great - great - grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Forrest Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Chet Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. today to noon Thursday at the funeral home.

TREYTON HOGG

De QUEEN, Ark. - Treyton Windell Hogg, infant son of Andy and Adrianna Bray Hogg of Kirby, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, in Hot Springs, Ark.

Other survivors include one brother, Brayden Bray; his grandparents, Windell and Judy Hogg of New Hope, Ark., and Robert and Cindy Bray of Dierks, Ark.; and his great - grandparents, Alvis and Annette Eastwood of De Queen, Harold and Darlene Bray of Dierks and Dovie Oliver of Russellville, Ark.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, New Hope, with Kenny Fant and James McRae officiating. Burial will be under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

CLARENCE STEWART

STAMPS, Ark. - Clarence W. "Pete" Stewart, 64, of Fulton, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Stewart was born April 10, 1938, in Schaal, Ark. He was retired from Tyson and a member of Tabernacle CME Church, Schaal.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lee Stewart; one son, Clarence Stewart Jr.; two daughters, Edith Allen Stewart of Hope, Ark., and Carylon Jean Stewart of Ashdown, Ark.; four brothers, Alfonza Stewart and Billy Don Stewart of Flint, Mich., and Norah Stewart Jr. and George Stewart of Mineral Springs, Ark.; and one sister, Eddie Lee Wallace of Flint.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Tabernacle CME Church, Schaal, with the Rev. Elroy Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Crofton Cemetery, Tollette, Ark., under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

The body may be viewed 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Union Baptist Church, Fulton, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Tabernacle CME Church.

HOPE, Ark. - Jodie Walker, 91, of Hope died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.
