John Ruben Jackson III

PARAGOULD -- John Ruben Jackson III, 32, of Paragould died Saturday at his home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1973, in St. Louis, the son of John Jr. and Edna Jones Jackson. He was employed by Emerson Electric and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Heather Morrow Jackson; son, Jeremy Jackson; and daughter, Caitlyn Jackson all of the home; parents, John and Edna Jackson; sisters, Cyndi Hoots and Teresa Fisher, all of Paragould.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Heath Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Bill McCracken officiating. Burial will follow in Cardwell Cemetery.

Jimmy Jinright

POCAHONTAS -- Jimmy Jinright, 51, died Saturday.

He was born in Battle Creek, Mich. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Jinright.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Whitrock; two brothers, Stephen and Donnie Jinright, both of Pocahontas; and two sisters, Linda Jinright of Pocahontas and Kathy Redus of Corning.

Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at McNabb Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at noon in Harmony Cemetery, with Stan Little officiating.

Harold 'Tommy' Kocher

HARRISBURG -- Mr. Harold "Tommy" Kocher Sr., 74, of Harrisburg died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at Jonesboro.

He was born Oct. 20, 1931, the son of John and Ema Ziegever Kocher.

Mr. Kocher was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a retired farmer and owner and operator of Kocher Paradise Hunting Club. He also was in the Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family.

Mr. Kocher was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley Ann Kocher; and one sister.

He is survived by one son, Harold L. Kocher Jr. and wife Casey of Harrisburg; one daughter, Lisa Wixson and husband Marshall of Collierville, Tenn.; one sister, Katy Hutchison of Harrisburg; and three grandchildren, Bryan Luke Wixson, Kye Emma Kocher and Havanna Kocher.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg, with Anthony Oncken officiating. Interment will be in Waldenburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Larry Carroll, Warren Mills, Brad Simmons, Andy Terrell, Whit Butler and Jim Butler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hunt, Joe Mills, Jim Hardin, Kary Dodds, Danny Mills, Sonny Conrad, Don Morgan, Don Doty, Doyle Wallace and Men of Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.

Tina Loggins

JONESBORO -- Tina Loggins, 42, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at her home.

She was born in Harrisburg, lived her entire life in Jonesboro and was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Juanita Loggins; one sister, Kathy Harrelson; and one brother, Jimmy Loggins.

Survivors include a son, Jake Loggins of the home; brothers John Loggins, Larry Loggins and Phillip Loggins, all of Jonesboro; and sisters Peggy Russell and Lisa Roach, both of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Don Vuncannon and Bobby Floyd officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and burial will be private.

Pallbearers are Lee McGinnis, Shane Irwin, Jeff Lowery, Billy Graham, Wayne Watlington and Jack McCann.

Honorary pallbearers are Jake Loggins, Jordan Connally, Dylan Connally, Grayson Harrelson, Taylor Loggins, Anthony Russell and Tim Harrelson.

For those wishing to leave lasting memorials, the family requests consideration be given to St. Bernard's Hospice or the American Diabetes. Association.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Emerson Funeral Home.

Sherman Lee Pierce

RAVENDEN SPRINGS -- Sherman Lee Pierce, age 62, of Ravenden Springs passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 4, 2006, at his residence.

Born December 10, 1943, in Craighead County, son of Henry and Martha Hamilton Pierce. Mr. Pierce was an auto body repairman in Paragould and of the Baptist belief.

Mr. Pierce was united in marriage to Glenda Copeland in 1989. Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ken Burchard.

Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife, Glenda Pierce of the home; his father and stepmother, Henry and Ora Pierce of Jonesboro; his mother, Martha Burchard of Manila; three brothers, Darrell Pierce and wife Emily of Tennessee, Dennis Pierce of Manila and Garrell (Bud) Pierce of Florida; a son, Michael Pierce of North Carolina; three daughters, Sherma Simpkins of Fayetteville, Lesa Szerivowski of Hoxie and Denise Pease of Oak Grove; five stepchildren, Wayne Ross of Kansas, Shawn Ross and Dana Kelley both of Ravenden Springs, Andrew Ross of Pocahontas and David Ross of Imboden; twenty-three grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, in Bryan Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Michael Lee Wright

HARRISBURG -- Mr. Michael Lee Wright, 47, of Harrisburg died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Kimberly Gale Wright; one stepson, Joshua G. Hooker of Paragould; one daughter, Ella J. Wright of Harrisburg; one stepdaughter, Alicia C. Hooker of Pocahontas; one brother, William L. Wright; three sisters, Amy J. Wright, Frances J. Killmore and Rachel M. Watson; and one grandchild, Anthony Braxton Wright.

Arrangements to be announced by the family at a later date. Arrangements are by Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.

Tony Lee Bell

PINEVILLE -- Tony Lee Bell, 46, of Pineville, formerly of Corning, died at his home Feb. 6, 2006. He was born on April 19, 1959, in Corning, the son of A.C. and Nona Inez Bell. Tony was of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, A.C. Bell, and one brother, Doyle Steven Bell.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Bell; one daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Daniel Terrell; two grandchildren, Sarah and Brayden of Mountain Home; mother, Nona Inez Bell of Ozark Acres; two brothers, Aldon Bell of Batesville and Melvin Bell of Ozark Acres; four nephews; three nieces; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Jerry Loyd and Henry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Gainesville Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Bell, Steven Bell, Randy Loyd, Kevin Loyd, Tim Cummings and John Belyew. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Smith, Michael Cook, Joey Martin, and Daniel Martin.

Memorials may be made to the Tony Bell Funeral Account.

Linnea Danner

HORSESHOE BEND -- Linnea Danner, 92, of Horseshoe Bend died Feb. 4, 2006, in Salem.

Survivors include two daughters, Roselyn Dill and Beverly Cantwell of Kenosha, Wis.; one son, Rob Danner of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one sister, Lillian Botemy of Florida; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Danner; and son, LeRoy Danner.

Funeral Mass was held Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend.

Arrangements were under the direction of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.

William M. Davis

LEACHVILLE -- William M. "Nook" Davis, 91, of Leachville died Sunday, Feb. 5, at his residence. Born in Monette, he lived his lifetime in Leachville. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist belief. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

Survivors include one daughter, Rose (Dorothy) Bisgrove of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Pauline Leiss of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Willis Davis of Monette; two grandchildren, Steve Wilkinson of Virginia Beach, Va., and Rhonda Stapel of Lyndeboro, N.H.; five great-grandchildren, Tim Thode, Stevie Troxler, Samantha Williams, Lilyan and Alex Wilkinson; two great-great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Jared Troxler; numerous nieces and nephews; and two stepsons, H.B. and Gene Neil, and their children and grandchildren, all of whom he loved so dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Davis; daughter, Dianna Lynn Davis; parents, Jack and Rachel Davis; and three brothers, Marion, Ovil Buck, and Johnny Davis.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the chapel of Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with the Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jerry Davis, Allen Davis, Jack Davis, Myron Davis, John Beaird, and Bud Beaird.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 tonight at the funeral home.
