Lennah Jane Baker 1929 - 2003

Lennah Jane Baker was born October 21, 1929 in Davenport, Iowa to Ray and Lenna Maud (Southwick) Hampton. She married John W. Baker on May 20, 1955 while they both served in the U. S. Navy and were stationed in San Diego, California, their home until they retired to Mountain Home in 1985. She was very active in the Baxter County Republican Party and was a member of the VFW and the Elks Club. Lennah Jane Baker entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2003 at Mountain Home, AR at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 25 days.

Survivors: Her parents and two brothers, Victor Hampton and Richard “Ray” Hampton, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, two sons; John Baker Jr. of San Diego and Brent Baker of Mountain Home, daughter-in-law; LuAnne Baker, and three grandchildren; Christian Baker, Danielle Baker, and Erik Kuhl, all of San Diego.

Funeral: The family will receive friends at 12:30 o’clock on Wednesday, May 21 at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. The service will be conducted by Rev. Jim Brooks at the Kirby-Boaz Chapel at 2:00 o’clock, with interment following at the Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Dr., Mountain Home, Arkansas 72653.

A. J. "Jay" Barnes February 23, 1914 - September 25, 2002

A.J.Barnes died September 25, 2002 at his residence.He was born February 23, 1914 at Alva, OK to Guy and Mae Kent Barnes. He Married Irene Anderson on April 27, 1985 at Mountain Home. He worked as a Supervisor for GM Electromotive for 34 years and lived in the Mountain Home area since moving from Illinois in 1978. He enjoyed bowling in the classic league in Chicago, golfing at Twin Lakes Golf Course and was a pilot.

Survivors: He was survived by his wife Irene of Mountain home. Stepdaughters: Gretchen Alice Seaberg and husband Arnold of Naperville, IL., Elaine Schwenker and husband Pete of Boulder, CO.,Stepson: James Anderson of SaltLake City, Utah. 5 Grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents,5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral: Amemorial Service will be tuesday October 1, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Kirby Boaz Chapel.

Memorials: Mountain Home Christian Clinic or Hospice of the Ozarks.

Kent C. Barnett July 1, 1935 - February 3, 2003

Kent C. Barnett, 67, of Flippin died Monday, February 3, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center.Kent Barnett was born July 1, 1935 at Mount Olivet, KY to Melvin and Nettie Moore Barnett. He married Shirley Chermak on May 27, 1961 at Oak Lawn, IL. He was a Tool & Die Maker and Manager for RC Grinding. He was a resident of Flippin, AR since moving from Oak Lawn, IL in 1995. He was a 1954 graduate of Deming High School at Mount Olivet, KY. He was president of Fairview Fire Board, was a First Responder, Volunteer Fireman, Dog Lover, Woodworker, avid Fisherman and Hunter. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Mount Olivet Christian Church.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife-Shirley Barnett of Flippin, AR; Son-Brian David (Janice) Barnett of Nashville, TN; Grandchildren-Nicole, Dawn, Christian, Nicholas and Marisa; Sister-Mary Jo Chandler of Mount Olivet, KY; and Brother in Law-Jack (Margie) Chermak of Oak Lawn, IL.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Visitation: Visitation is Thursday, 6:00 until 8:00 PM. at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home

Funeral: Funeral for Kent C. Barnett will be Friday, 10:00 AM at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home with Chaplain Stephen Pyle officiating.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Honorary Bearers: Fairview Fire Department will be Honorary Pallbearers.

Francis Harold Barr August 18, 1928 - March 29, 2002

Francis Harold Barr 73, of Mountain Home died March 29, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born August 18, 1928 in Webb City, MO. to Francis Alexander and Izoria Ann Lacy Barr. He married Ramona L. Barr October 8, 1950 in El Paso, TX. He was a member of the ozark VFW in Mountain Home. He was baptist.

Survivors: He is survived by 1 son Brian and Bobbie Barr of Parker, CO., 3 Brothers Wayne Barr and Beauford Barr of Westmont, IL. and Glen Barr of Arlington, TX., 5 Grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: He was Preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 son, 3 brothers, 1 sister.

Funeral: Graveside Services will be Monday 1:00 P.M. April 1, 2002.

Burial: Burial will be Carl Junction Cemetery.

Russell Beale 1908 - 2002

Russell K. Beale was born July 8, 1908 at Logansport, Indiana the son of Jason Beale and Emma Kenney Beale. He married Frances J. Beale and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Boca Raton, Florida in 1978. Before retirement he was a superintendent of composing for Chicago Tribune. He was a member of Typograpical Union, Redeemer Lutheran Church and was an avid fisherman and golfer. Mr. Beale died at his residence on July 4, 2002 at Mountain Home.

Survivors: 1 Daughter, Francine Beale of Mountain Home, AR; 1 son, Russell K. Beale Jr. of The Villages, Florida; 2 sisters, Alma Gust of Logansport, Indiana and Jane Lindley of Turkey; 1 Brother, Johnny Beale of Lafayette, Indiana; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; several nieces and nephews

Lina W. Beauchamp May 4, 1906 - June 8, 2003

Lina W. Beauchamp, 97, of Mountain Home, died Sunday, June 8, 2003 at Pine Lane Healthcare. She was born on May 4, 1906 at Chicago, Illinois to Nicholas Persenaire and Nellie Kastelyn. She married Louis J. Beauchamp on May 17, 1940 at Chicago, Illinois. A bookkeeper for Sheman-Williams for 15 years, she was a resident of Mountain Home after moving from Chicago in 1973. A member of First Baptist Church, she enjoyed bowling, swimming, and gardening.

Survivors: Survivors include one sister, Elizabeth Beauchamp of Oostberg, Wisconsin as well as several neices and nephews.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation: Visitation will be at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 14, 2003.

Funeral: Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 14, 2003 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home with Reverend David Johnson officiating.

Burial: Interment will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Fred Beaudette died September 23, 2002, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was a cabinet maker and a Catholic.

Billy Von Bellah November 25, 1947 - October 4, 2002

He was born November 25, 1947 at Pocahontas, AR to Buel Cooper and Marie Bellah. He married Betty Jean Medley on September 19, 1980 at Mountain Home, AR. He was a machinist and mechanic. He was a resident of Gassville, AR since moving from Pocahontas, AR in 1971. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and the Gulf War. He enjoyed car and motorcycle racing, gun collecting, and visiting salvage yards. He was an avid reader and liked old movies and music. He was a member of the Cotter Church of Christ.

Survivors: wife-Betty Bellah; Brother-Dennis Cooper of Pocahontas; Sisters-Darlene Matheny of Ravenden, AR and Raetta McGuire of Pocahontas; Step Father-Buel Cooper of Ravenden, AR; Several nieces and nephews including-Marsha Sloan of Walnut Ridge, AR, Melanie Britt of Mountain Home, and Mitchell Denoe of Gassville; and Several great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his Mother, Daughter-Aelisa Hall, and 2 infant sons.

Visitation: Visitation will be Tuesday, 12:00 until 7:00 PM with family receiving friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
