Mark Birchler 1954 - 2002

Mark Robert Birchler was born October 17, 1954 at Spokane, Washington the son of Robert W. Birchler and Muriel Bollmeier Birchler. He had been a resident of Greers Ferry, Arkansas since 1996 and was a teacher at Black River College in Pocahontas.He died at Baptist Health in Heber Springs at the age of 47 years.

Survivors: Parents, Robert & Muriel Birchler of Mountain Home, AR; 1 daughter, Amanda Michelle Birchler of Memphis, TN; 1 brother Craig Birchler of Ozark, Arkansas; 1 sister, Julie Alameda of St. Peters, Missouri; nieces Jessica Birchler and Andrea Alameda and nephew Alexander Alameda.

Funeral: July 20, 2002 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Ken Lampe officiating.

Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery at Mountain Home, Arkansas

William Bird 1909 - 2002

William Frank Bird was born April 29, 1909 at Paris, Illinois the son of Claude Bird and Myrtle Merymer Bird. He married Marie Fiebig at Chicago, Illinois on March 26, 1933 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Chicago, Illinois in 1975. He was a stationary engineer for a brewery and helped build Promise Land Bible School. Mr. Bird died at Care Manor Nursing Home on July 1, 2002 at the age of 93 years.

Survivors: 1 son, Claude (Cindy) Bird of Carson City, Nevada; 1 daughter, Irene Forester of Franklin Park, Illinois; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: parents, wife, a daughter Patricia; 1 brother and 2 sisters

Funeral: July 6, 2002 at Sax - Tiedemann Chapel in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Burial: Elmlawn Memorial Park in Elmhurst, Illinois

Lawrence Louis Black 1956 - 2002

He was born September 27, 1956 at Chicago, IL to Richard H. and Doris Shols Black. He was a resident of Lakeview, AR since moving from Denver, CO in 2000. He was a retired Dental Technician, and was Protestant.

Survivors: He is survived by Mother - Dorie Black of Lakeview, Brother - Tom (Sherry) Black of Auburn, NE, Nephew - Lawrence Blace of Bayfield, WI, Niece - Brenda Verkuilen of Brainerd, MN, and Several Cousins.

Preceded in Death by: Father

Funeral: A graveside service for Larry Black, 46, of Lakeview, will be at a later date at Chatsworth Cemetery in Chatsworth, IL.

Myrtice Day Beal Blackman May 5, 1903 - December 23, 2002

Myrtice Blackman 99 of Mountain Home died Monday, December 23, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was born May 5, 1903 at Unionville, MO to Edward and Effa Noble Beal. She married Clark Blackman in September 1920 at Powersville, MO, and was a homemaker. She was a resident of Mountain Home, AR since moving from Powersville, MO in 1979. She was a member for the Eastern Star for 72 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Lions Club in MO. She was a teacher, wrote great poetry and was a good artist. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors: She is survived by her son, Richard (Mary Jo) Blackman of Springfield, MO, daughters, Mary E. (Bill) Irwin of Mountain Home, AR and Patricia (Robert) Lindley of E. Moline, IL, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, and 1 sister.

Funeral: Service will be private at First Christian Church.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in lieu of flowers.

Eileen L. Blackmer January 30, 1913 - July 11, 2002

Eileen L. Blackmer 89, of Mountain Home died July 11, 2002 at Cave City Nursing Home. She was born January 30, 1913 in Girard, IL. to Leslie and Mahulda Sutphin Harris. She was married to Kenneth W. Blackmer June 1934 at St. Louis MO. She was protastant.

Survivors: She is survived by 1 son Gary W. Blackmer and Pat of Delavan,Wis., 2 daughters K. Donna Clingman and Harvey of Cave City, Linda E. Williams of Ft. Worth, TX. 12 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, 4 sisters.

Funeral: Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday July 15, 2002.

Burial: Burial will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens.

Edward Blando 1932 - 2003

Edward Blando was born December 6, 1932 at New York City, New York the son of James Blando and Mary Matuszwka. He married Charlene Marie Brown at Santa Rosa, New Mexico on September 14, 1998 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Sun City, California in 1999. He served with the US Army during the Korean War and was a former bus driver for a catering company and member of Ozark VFW Post #3246. He died on July 19, 2003 at his residence at the age of 70 years.

Survivors: Wife, Charlene Blando; 3 sons, Edward, John & Hugh Blando of New York city, New York; 2 stepsons Thomas Haslinger of Sandy Valley, Nevada and Michael (Cathy Ann) Haslinger of Henderson, Nevada; 1 stepdaughter Catherine (Mike) Matthews of San Bernadino, California; 1 son - in - law Tod Allie of Highland, California; 6 Grandchildren, Michael Haslinger Jr., Kimberly Haslinger, Justin, Tori and Darian Allie; 1 brother, Jacob (Jimmy) Rolock of New York City, New York

Conrad Edward Boerner April 2, 1927 - October 14, 2002

He was a computer analyst technician for GTE in North Lake, IL for 30 years and served with the US Navy during WWII. He had been a resident of Mountain Home area since moving from Rolling Brook IL in 1990. He was a devoted family man.

Mildred Jewell "Julie" Boggs 1914 - 2003

Mrs. Boggs was born September 8, 1914 at Dunnegan, MO to William Rutledge Cowan and Mary Virginia Kirkpatrick Cowan. She married Arthur Lee Boggs on December 22, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA. She was a resident of Mountain Home, AR since moving from Sunnymead, CA on July 22, 1961. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mildred Jewell “Julie” Boggs of Mountain Home died Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at her residence. She was 88 years of age.

Survivors: She is survived by 8 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, and 19 great great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, sister, one niece and one nephew.

Funeral: Visitation will be Friday, April 18, from 10 AM until the 2 PM service at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Carl Cook will officiate. There will be a visitation, Saturday, April 19, in Stockton, MO from 10 AM until the 2 PM service at Brumbeck Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lindley Prairie Cemetery in Bear Creek, MO.
