Horace Dean 1906 - 2002
Horace Greeley Dean was born November 27, 1906 at Greenwood Springs, Mississippi the son of James Walter Dean and Minnie Gray Gordon Dean. He married Lucille Rentfrow at Guymon, Oklahoma on November 10, 1931 and had resided in the Lakeview area since moving from Minden, Louisana in 1996. He worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for 43 years and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He died at Twin Lakes Nursing Home on March 14, 2002 in Flippin, Arkansas.
Survivors: 2 sons, Harold Dean of Conroe, Texas and Jimmie Dean of Tomball, Texas; 2 daughters Betty Richards of Venice, California and Ellen Reed of Lakeview, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren

Jeanne Dean 1921 - 2002
Jeanne Marie Dean was born March 12, 1921 at Toledo, Ohio the daughter of Fred W. Buffington and Martha Roloff Buffington. She married Noble R. Dean at Toledo, Ohio on October 27, 1961 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Toledo, Ohio in 1983. She was a former teller at First National Bank in toledo and enjoyed doing crewel, gardening and flowers and was an excellent cook. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She died at Care Manor Nursing Home on May 20, 2002 at the age of 81.
Survivors: husband, Noble Dean; 1 son Michael (Kari) Dooley of Swanton, Ohio; 1 daughter Cathy (Randall) Allion of Morenci, Michigan; 1 sister Lillian Noggle of Oak Harbor, Ohio, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Esther L. DeClue September 16, 1932 - February 27, 2003
Esther L. Declue was born September 16, 1932 at Kingsford, Michigan to John Alquist and Ina Kasen. Mrs. Declue was a secretary in the city of Bull Shoals, Arkansas. She was a resident of Bull Shoals, AR since moving from St. Louis, MO in 1972. She was a member of the ladies VFW Auxiliary and the Humane Society.

Ivan Delaney 1919 - 2002
Ivan Herbert Delaney was born September 26, 1919 at Shawnee, Oklahoma the son of William H. Delaney and Alice Barry Delaney. He had been a resident of Mountain Home area since moving from Huntsville, Texas in 1994. He was former supervisor for Lockheed Martin Corporation and retired form the US Marines after serving during World War II and
Korean War. He was a member of VFW, American Legion, Twin Lakes Marines, Eagles and Elks. He died at Care Manor Nursing Home on April 22, 2002 at the age of 82.

Elizabeth DeMass was born February 19, 1910 at Westville, IN to George and Mary Elizabeth Garwood Link. She married Henry W. DeMass on August 30, 1930 at Chesterton, IN and was a homemaker. She was a resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas since moving from Valpariso, IN in 1987. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star in Chesterton, IN.
Survivors: 1 Son: Michael DeMass of Mountain Home, Ar. 2 Daughters: Mary Anita Hale of Jacksonville, Fl., and Jean Marie Kruse (Husband Jim) of Michigan City, IN., 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren and a special caregiver: Marjorie Krokson of Mountain Home.

Jack Nathan Denton September 6, 1925 - January 6, 2003
Jack N. Denton, 77, of Mountain Home died Monday, January 6, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. A retired Air Force Colonel, he flew a combat tour as a navigator in World War II, a combat tour as a fighter pilot in the
Korean War, and held a variety of staff and command positions prior to his retirement in 1973. He was awarded the Legion of Merit, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Meritorious Service Medal, four Air Medals, plus numerous other combat and achievement awards, decorations and commendations. Following retirement from the USAF, he operated a cattle ranch in the Shady Grove community for 19 years. In 1975 his family was recognized as Baxter County’s “Farm Family of the Year”. He was active in Farm Bureau activities and served as President of the Baxter County Farm Bureau for nine years. He was a member of the Baxter County Soil Conservation District Board of Directors for 14 years and was chairman of the board for two years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He received “Outstanding Community Service Awards” from Baxter County and the Governor of Arkansas in 1981. He was born September 6, 1925 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Lela (Crisel) and Charles D. Denton. He and the former Juanita Kelly of Earle were married April 26, 1946 in Hernando, Mississippi.
Survivors: Survivors include his wife Juanita of the home, a daughter Darla Martin of Conway, a son Dale Denton of Mountain Home; two granddaughters Tina Marie Schimonsky of San Antonio, Texas and Kelly Tucker of Rogers; two grandsons Rusty and Travis Denton of Mountain Home; two great granddaughters Brandy Schimonsky and Madison tucker.
Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, his parents and three sisters: Lucille Shidler, Emma Kafka and Bettie McDonald.
Funeral: Services will be private.
Burial: Interment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery
Mausoleum.

Carrie Dettenmaier January 31, 1911 - April 13, 2003
Carrie Dettenmaier 92, of Lakeview died April 13, 2003 at Auburn Hills Nursing Home. She was born January 31, 1911 in Chicago, IL. to Joseph and Marie Gomski Krawczykowski. She married George J. Dettenmaier on May 17, 1941 in Chicago, IL. She was a bookkeeper for Pay Master.
Survivors: She is survived by a nephew Roman Mentlewicz and Betty of Lakeview, AR., 2 Great Nephews John Grossmann and Raymond Mentlewicz of Chicago,IL., and Great Niece Susan Yost of Des Plaines, IL.

John Devoll 1919 - 2003
John Vickery Devoll was born September 28, 1919 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the son of Horace and Elizabeth Cox Devoll. He married the late Theresa Murray on May 7, 1942 at Elton, Maryland and had resided in Mountain Home since moving from New Jersey in 1993. He served with the US Army during World War II and was former manager for Carver Hydraulic Pumps. He was lifetime member of National Rifle Association, member of Twin Lakes Gun Club and the VFW in New Jersey. John Vickery Devoll entered into eternal rest on July 21, 2003 at Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 83 years.
