Jack Edwin Godby October 12, 1922 - May 28, 2002

Jack Edwin Godby 79 of Mountain Home died May 28, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born October 12, 1922 in Science Hill, KY to A. V. Amon V. "Judge" and Daisy Mercer Godby. He was a Supervisor of Allied Chemical and Sterns Rogers. He married R. Janet Franks on March 5, 1946 in Kansas. He loved sports, and singing. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survived by: He is survived by his wife Daisy of Mountain Home, 1 daughter Jacquelin and Ed Frazier of Plattsmouth, NE., grandson Daniel J. Toman of Plattsmouth, NE 2 brothers Johnny Lee Godby of Louisville, KY, Danny Carol Godby of Louisville, KY.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. till 10:00 A.M. Prior to service.

Funeral: Memorial Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday May 30, 2002 at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Brooks officiating.

John Edward Goetz 1923 - 2993

John Edward Goetz was born March 28, 1923 at Richardton, North Dakota the son of John Peter Goetz and Josephine Emmenet Goetz. He married Frances Florence Elkins on April 6, 1944 in Montana. He had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Arizona in 1990 and was a former professional truck driver for Century Mercury Company. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, BPOE #1714, Twin Lakes Golf Course and Twirling Fun Timers Square Dance Club. John Edward Goetz entered into eternal rest on September 19, 2003 at Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 21 days

Walter Gordon was born to Walter Gordon Sr. and Ruth Buchaird - Gordon in Chicago, IL. He married Kathy Gleason October 19, 1985 in Chicago, IL he was a police officer. He moved to Bull Shoals, Arkansas in 1990 from Chicago, IL.

Cecil Gordon 1918 - 2002

Cecil Gordon Ness was born March 29, 1918 at Jackson, Minnesota the son of Lewis L. Ness and Julia S. Leen Ness. He married the late Mareyl Claire Ness on February 20, 1954 at Seminole, Oklahoma. He had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Davenport, Iowa in 1984 and was a former electrician at Pausen Electric Company in Moline, Illinois.

Survived by: 3 Sisters, Alta Doyscher of Albertlee, Minnesota, Thora Juliet Soeten of Buena Vista, California and Sylvia Johnson of Windom,Minnesota; several nieces and nephews.

Dale Louis Gornick JR. November 5, 1979 - March 26, 2002

Dale Louis Gornick JR., 22 of Bull Shoals died March 26, 2002 in Marion County. He was born November 5, 1979 in Crown Point, Ind. to dale and Claudette Johnson Gornick SR. He attended college in Harrison and was a graduate of Flippin High School. He loved basketball, golfing, rivers and lakes. He was a member of Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church.

Survived by: He is survived by his mother Claudette Gornick of Merrillville, Ind. and Father Dale Gornick Sr. of Bull Shoals, 1 sister heather Marie and Todd Jorgenson of Siou Falls, SD. Maternal Grandparents Antoinette and Claude Johnson of Cedar Lake, Ind., Paternal Grandmother Betty Gornick of Bull Shoals.

Visitation: Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00P.M. Friday March 29, 2002 at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home in Bull Shoals.

Funeral: Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday March 30, 2002 at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home in Bull Shoals with Dr. Fred Taylor officiating.

Jess Wayne Graham Jr. June 19, 1922 - Nov. 9, 2002

He was born June 19, 1922 at Cotter, Arkansas to Jesse O. and Ada Pitchford Graham. He married Betty Kay Raines in 1945 at Peoria, IL. He was a parts locator for LeTourneau Westinghouse in Peoria, Ill for 26 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a resident of Flippin, Arkansas since moving from Peoria, IL in 1976.

Survived by: He is survived by 3 daughters: Sandra (Ted) Osman of Peoria and Linda (Jack) Guthrie and Cathy (Jim) Bush both of Bartonville, IL, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Lori was born September 1, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to Larry and Stella Strope. She obtained an Associates degree in Business from Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado. She also graduated from the Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science. She married Dale Green on August 14, 1993 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Lori and Dale moved to Mountain Home in May of 1999. Their son, Jared Lee Green was born on October 10, 2000. Lori worked for the United States Postal Service for the past seven years and was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church.

Survived by: Husband, Dale Green and son, Jared Lee Green of Mountain Home; parents, Larry & Stella Strope of Mountain Home; paternal grandmother, Margaret Strope of Lowell, Ma; two sisters, Terri (Hugh) Reilly of Great Falls, MT and Sharon (Tim) Slemons of Lakewood, Co., two brothers, Brett (Jeannine) Strope of Longmont, Co. and Alan (Kim)Strope of Fort Collins, Co., eleven nieces and nephews, Caleb, Amanda, Sophia, Brandon, Blake, Matthew, Keena, Ethan, Taylor, Taryn and Traegan; Aunts and Uncles, Rosie & Porky Hernandez, Tootsie and Tony Garcia, Moe and Mary Ann Espinosa, Bob Espinosa, Betty Espinosa and Linda Finch; thirteen cousins, Sylvia, George, Tony, Lisa, Karyn, Justin, Brandon, Matthew, Adam, Shelly, Lisa, Toni and Leslie.

Funeral: 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 12, 2002 at Twin Lakes Baptist Church with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating. Lori went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2002.

Grace Helen Griffith June 10, 1912 - July 28, 2003

Grace Helen Griffith was born June 10, 1912 at Oak Park, Illinois to Joseph and Emily Pretl Raysa. She married Robert I. Griffith on November 25, 1931 at Oak Park. A resident of Mountain Home since moving from Fort Myers, Florida in 1995, she was a homemaker who loved tennis and volunteer work. Mrs. Griffith entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 28, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 18 days.

Survived by: She is survived by two sons, Robert (Kathy) Griffith of Gamaliel, Arkansas and Roger (Joyce) Griffith of Lombard, Illinois; five grandchildren and three great - grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Marilyn, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4:00 – 9:00 P.M. on Friday, August 1, 2003 at Leonard Memorial Home.

Funeral: Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd. in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with Dr. Robert Lesher officiating.

Burial arrangements: Chapel Hills Gardens West Cemetery, in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois

Survived by: He is survived by his wife Mary Grimmon of Mountain Home. 1 son: Calvin(Lynn) Grimmon of Picton, Ontario. 1 Daughter Merry Lee Bovay of British Columbia. 1 sister: Kathleen Dobbin and Colin of Calgary, Alberta. 2 Grandchildren.

Marjorie K. Grogan 1914 - 2003

Marjorie K. Grogan was born January 25, 1914 in Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin to Henry G. and Mary Dion Kintzler. She married Charles E. Grogan on January 12, 1941 in Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin. She was a retired nurse with the Army Nurse Corps. She retired to Mountain Home in 1976 from Jacksonville, FL. She died on September 20, 2003 in Mountain Home at the age of 89 years.

Survived by: Husband, 2 Sons; Steven Grogan of Alameda, California and David M. Grogan (wife Corie) of Springfield, Mo. and 2 grandchildren.
