Hazel Harp 1923 - 2003

Hazel Morine Harp was born September 14, 1923 at Lamesa, Texas the daughter of Joseph Douglas O'Neil and Stella Mae Hefner O'Neil. She married Arnold L. Harp at Pecos, Texas on February 28, 1943 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Foreman, Arkansas in 1981. She was a homemaker and member of College & North Church of Christ. She died June 7, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 79

Survived by: Husband, Arnold Harp of the home; 2 sons Larry (DeAnn) Harp of Bedford, Texas and Randy (Ann) Harp of Lompoc, California; 2 daughters Karen (Pete) Crawford of Pawnee, Oklahoma and Sandy (Gary) Pitchford of Reeds Spring, Missouri; 11 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren

Mary Hart was born to Thomas Francis Burke and Frances Mehler - Burke in Chicago, IL. She married James Hart August 30, 1934 at Chicago, IL. She was a homemaker.

June Harvey June 30, 2002 - March 28, 2002

June Harvey ws born to Edward Falvey and Jessie Goodrich - Falvey in Wisconsin. She was a resident of Lakeview, AR since moving from Downers grove, IL in 1977. She was an elementary school teacher and a member of the Bull Shoals Presbyterian Church.

Frances Harvey October 12, 1935 - September 19, 2002

Frances Harvey was born October 12, 1935 in Camden, Arkansas the daughter of Clyde L. and Flora Johnson Tate. She Graduated from Harmony Grove High School and attended the former Southern State College, Magnolia. She was a retired real estate broker and salesman and worked for three real estate firms in Toledo, Ohio for 25 years. She and her husband, Hank, moved to the Cotter area in 1993. She also worked more than five years at the Avnet and Avitronis plant in Flippin. Frances was a founder of Unity of Mountain Home and was on the board of directors. She was also a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Cotter.

Survived by: Husband: Henry W. "Hank" Harvey, 3 Sons: John W. Harvey, Robert F. Harey, Edward T. Harvey, Sisters: Betty Wilson, Joyce Gregory, 4 Grandchildren: Carol Ann, Robert Quinn, Samuel Mark Lee Harvey, Taylor Christopher Harvey, 4 nieces, 6 nephews, Beloved pets "moose" and "Louie"

Velma I. Haskins 1909 - 2003

Velma I. Haskins was born October 2, 1909 at Eagle Grove, Iowa the daughter of George Haskin and Marie Marshall Haskin. She was a former Administrator Assistant for General Motors and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Velma I. Haskins entered into eternal rest on January 21, 2003 at Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 19 days.

Survived by: Nieces & Nephews: Donnalee Bowman of Loveland, Colorado; Lorraine Haskin of Arizona; Bob Haskin of Iowa; Karen Haskin of Washington; Dawn Haskin of Phoenix, Arizona; Gary Haskin of Des Moines, Iowa

Muriel Hastings 1931 - 2002

Muriel E. Hastings was born February 22, 1931 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of William and Elsie Blum Seefeldt. She married Donald Hastings at Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 29, 1984 and had resided in the Gamaliel area since moving from Oak Crest, Wisconsin in 1985. She was a secretary at a Machine Shop.

Survived by: Husband, Donald; children Mike Nelson, Marc Nelson, Marliana Socha and Mitchell Nelson of Wisconsin; 1 sister Helen Stahler of Wisconsin and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Helena Adela Hataway, 95, of Natchitoches, LA. She was born December 28, 1905 in Webester Co. MO. to John Thomas and Sarah Angline Blancett Mackey. She was married August 3, 1923 in Independence, Kansas to Clayton W. Hataway. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Verne E. Hausfeld was born July 16, 1917 at Chicago, IL to Elmer Edwin and Florence Sieling Hausfeld. He married Marilyn Anderson on December 4, 1952 at Chicago, IL. He had recently moved to Roselle, IL. He was a resident of Mountain Home, AR for many years after moving from Schaumburg, IL in 1973. He was the Head Elevator Starter for Merchandize Mart. Gary Richard Hawley 1944 - 2002

Gary Richard Hawley was born March 10, 1944 in Franklin Park, Ill to Oscar Fagen and Vada Clas Henson Hawley. He was an Airplane Mechanic for the Baxtr County Airport. He lived in Mountain Home since 1974 since moving here from Atlanta, Ga. He passed away on August 29, 2002 at his residence at the age of 58 years, 5 months, and 19 days.

Survived by: He is survived by his wife Carole Hawley of Mountain Home, 1 daughter Sherry Rudd of Atlanta, Ga and 1 granddaughter. Also surviving are 1 brother David Hawley of Flippin, Ar. and 6 Sisters, Joyce Pumford of Mountain Home, Ramona Bishop of Park Ridge, Ill, Nell Buzas of St. Charles, Ill, Myrna Fese of Elmhurst, Ill, Judy Grimm, of Flippin, Ar and Ann Hamm of Alexander, Ar.

Clara L. Head 1924 - 2003

She was born October 17, 1924 at Coalinga, CA to Rufo Wilson Young and Ova Brown Young. She was a resident of Mountain Home, AR since moving from Long Beach, CA in 1974. She was a hairdresser and a member of the West Side Missionary Baptist Church.

Survived by: She is survived by her husband - Hank Harper of Mountain Home, son - Carl Lester (Cheryl) Head of Mountain Home; daughters - Carleen C. Hardy of Cypress, CA and Margie (Robert) Kincaid of Gassville, AR; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, Son - Carl H. Ostrander Jr., 1 grandson - Mark Henderson II, 5 brothers and 7 sisters.

Visitation: Visitation will be Friday, 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral: Funeral for Clara L. Head, 78, will be Saturday, 3:00 PM at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Isaac Marlor officiating. Eagles Services are by the Eagles Auxiliary Aerie #3183 of Midway.

Burial arrangements: Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with Michael and Manuel Martinez, Coachie Kincaid, Kevin Head, Jonathan Tolbert and Shane Cheek as pallbearers.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the West Side Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.

Martha Blakely Hearn, 93, died August 16, 2002 at her residence. She was born February 12, 1909 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Alfred and Martha Blakely Lewis. She was a retired Trust Department worker in a Bank. She was a member St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
