Irving Olaf Johnson 1919 - 2002

Irving Olaf Johnson was born on July 24, 1919 at Akron, Ind. to Edward and Leora Friend Johnson. He married Florence L. Johnson on August 24, 1940 at Batavia, Il. He was the owner and editor of the Plainfield Enterprise for 20 years. He passed away in Mountain Home, Akansas on October 7, 2002 at the age of 83 years, 2 months, and 13 days. He had resided in the Bull shoals and Lakeview area since 1976, moving here from Plainfield, Ill. He was a Member of the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge in Yellville, Arkansas, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #202 of Mountain Home.

Survived by: 2 Sons: James (wife Kathy) Johnson of Bull Shoals and Larry R. (wife Jackie) Johnson of Lafayette, La., 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren and 1 Brother: Robert (Wife Cora) Johnson of Lockwood, Mo.

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Wife, 1 Brother, and 3 sisters.

Visitation: Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, Ar.

Funeral: Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 10, 2002 at the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Goldman officiating.

Burial arrangements: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials: Bull Shoals Methodist Church Food Pantry of charity of Choice.

Additional Notes: Mr. Johnson was a former Bull Shoals City Councilman, Former Board member and President of Bull Shoals/ White River Chamber of Commerce, A Democratic Canidate for State Representive, The Founder of Enterprise Printing in Bull Shoals, and a member of the retired Fisherman's Club, Minus 300 Club of Plainfield, Ill and prior to retiring to Arkansas he was a recreational pilot and he loved fishing, hunting, and RV'ing.

Ronald Dale Jones 1961 - 2002

Ronald Dale Jones of Henderson, Ar., was born December 2, 1961 at Charleston, SC to Kenneth Douglas and Shirley Ann Sessions Bailey. He moved to Henderson in November 1988 from Pine Mountain GA. He passed away on March 15, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 40 years, 3 months, and 13 days.

Survived by: Parents: Kenneth and Shirley Bailey of Henderson, 2 children: Lena Marie and Tyler Jones of Nicoles, Iowa, 2 brothers: Donnie Ray Jones of Mountain Home, and James W. Bailey of Joplin, Mo., 2 Sisters: Kathy Green of Mountain Home, and Connie Sue Moore of Bull Shoals and many nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.

Preceded in Death by: Grandparents

Visitation: visitation was held on Sunday, March 18, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm

Funeral: Funeral Services were held on March 19, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Shy, Officiating.

Burial arrangements: Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, Marion County, Arkansas.

Gertrude M. Jouse 1910 - 2002

Gertrude M. Jouse was born July 25, 1910 at Chicago, Ill. to Martin G. and Martha Kiehn Wilde. She maried Norman L. Jouse on April 24, 1931 at Chicago, IL. She was a Telephone Operator and a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She passed away on November 1, 2002 at The Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home at the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 6 days.

Survived by: 1 Son: Edward M. Jouse of Chicago, Ill and 2 Sisters: Anita Axelson of Madison, Wisc. and Eleanor Michalek of Escondido, California

Preceded in Death by: Parents, husband and 2 brothers.

Visitation: Visitation was Sunday, November 3, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm

Funeral: Graveside Funeral Services were held on Monday, November 4, 2002 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home with Reverend Kenneth Lampe officiating.

John Phillip Juenger JR. died September 20, 2002 at Peachtree Christian Hospital in Duluth, Georgia. He was born February 19, 1926 in St. Louis, MO to JohnPhillip and Garnet Molden Juenger SR. He was a owner and operator of a Mobile Home Park.

Survived by: He was survived by his daughter Janet Sherrill of Suwanee, GA. 1 Brother Michael Juenger of Bland, MO. 1 sister Garnet Dye of Greeley, CO. and 3 Grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be 2:30P.M. Tuesday September 24, 2002 at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals.

Edwin John Kanta August 3, 1929 - January 28, 2003

Edwin Kanta 73, of Midway died Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at his residence. He was born August 3, 1929 at Chicago, IL to Edwin and Ella Sladek Kanta. He married Connie Free on March 1, 1975 at Eureka Springs, AR. He was the owner of Kanta Builders, Inc. He was a resident of Midway, AR since moving from Wheaton, IL in 1969. He served in the US Army in Korea and was Lutheran.

Survived by: He is survived by his wife, Connie; sons - Ricky (Donna) Kanta, and Randy (Nancy) Kanta; Sisters - Mary Jane (Howard) Novack and June Marie (Stanley) Komel; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son and 1 daughter.

Funeral: Services will be Private.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Hospice of the Ozarks.

Loretta D. Kardatzke 1912 - 2003

Loretta Kardatzke was born March 13, 1912 at Chicago, Illinois to William B. and Emily Sass Heinberg. She married Max Einsle on December 30, 1933 and they resided in Bellwood until his death. Mrs. Kardatzke married Arthur R. Kardatzke on November 26, 1976 at Bellwood, Ill. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Loretta Kardatzke was a member of the Southside Homemakers, Past President of the V.F.W. Auxillary, past secretary of Parent Teachers Association and volunteered in the Dunning Hospital all in Chicago. Loretta Kardatzke was the 1999 Auburn Hills District Queen and a former member and Sunshine Lady at the First United Methodist Church. Loretta and husband Max owned and operated a bakery in Newark, New Jersey for many years before retiring to Bellwood. Loretta Kardatzke entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2003 at Mountain Home, AR at the age of 91 years and 9 days.

Survived by: Loretta Kardatzke is survived by a son, Frederick W. (Shirley) Einsle of Naperville, Ill., a daughter, Arlene (Leroy) Engeriser of Mountain Home; 2 stepsons, Arthur Kardatzke (Janet) of Darien, Ill., and James Kardatzke of Lebanon, Tenn., grandchildren, Richard (Julie) Einsle and Fred Einsle, Donna Wilson, Peggy Phillips, Dawn Cole; great grandchildren, Kylie, Joey, Marybeth, Scott, Adam, Joan, Raymond, Tina, Ross, Joshua, Amy, Laura, Jackie, and Hope; 2 great great grandchildren, and one pet, Anna.

Preceded in Death by: She is preceded in death by husbands, Max Einsle and Arthur Kardatzke, 2 brothers, William and Fred Heinberg, granddaughter, Barbara and special friend, Bill Johnson.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at the Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral services for Loretta Kardatzke of Mountain Home will be at 1:00 Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Lampe officiating.

Burial arrangements: Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.

Larry Ray Kasinger 1956 - 2002

Larry Ray Kasinger of Mountain Home, was born January 30, 1956 at Mountain Home,AR to Herbert H. and Juanita Cantrell Kasinger. He was a carpenter and was a Lutheran. He was a Vietnam Era veteran. He passed away on April 14, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 46 years, 2 months, and 14 days. He was a lifetime resident of the Mountain Home area.

Survived by: 2 Sons: Tyler Rix of Wenatchee, WA and Waylon Kasinger of Texas. 3 Daughters: Nikki and Alexandria Kasinger of Texas and Alicia Kasinger of Gassville, Ar. His Mother: Juanita Kasinger of Mountain Home. 1 Brother: Herbert Kasinger (Sue) of Mountain Home, 3 Sisters: Jeannie Amis (Ron Tate) of Mountain Home, Patty Wray (Kelvin) of Viola, Ar and Donna M. Powell of Gassville, AR. His Paternal Grandmother: Hanna Kasinger of Mountain Home.

Preceded in Death by: Father, 2 brothers, and 1 niece.

Visitation: Visitation was held on Monday, April 15, 2002 at the Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 pm

Funeral: Graveside services were held on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Cotter with Brother Steve Stephens officiating. military Honors were provided by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council.

Burial arrangements: Walnut Hill Cemetery, Cotter, Arkansas.

She was a retail clerk at Harp’s Video and had lived in the Mountain Home area since moving from Whittier, California in 1981.

Survived by: She is survived by 4 daughters: Michelle (Roger) Ross of Springdale, Jamie (Lance) Perez of Mountain Home, Hollie Schmidt of Fayetteville, Amber Kasinger; 5 Grandchildren Xander & Marcus Perez; Ethan, Preston and Harrison Ross; 1 Brother Lindy (Rosa) Lindholm of Yoba Linda, California; 1 Sister Vickie (Bob) Boyer of Mountain Home.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents.

Julia Frances Keating 1918 - 2002

Julia Frances Keating was born on February 17, 1918 at Antigo, WI. to George and Anna Pekarek Schmiester. She married Walter A. Keating on October 11, 1941 at Chicago, Ill. She was a wirer and solderer for Midwest Coil and Skil Corp. for many years. She passed away in Williams Bay Wisc. on December 18, 2002 at the age of 84 years, 10 months, and 1 day. She had resided in Mounain Home, Arkasnas from Octoer 1985 until relocating to McHenry and Genoa City, Ill.

Survived by: 1 Son James Keating of McHenry, IL., 3 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandcildren. 6 Sisters: Velma Perkins, Josephine Johnson, Mathilda (husband John) Storelli, all of Sacramento, Ca., Amelia Spero of Antigo, WI., Marian Reingruber of Chicago, and Elizabeth Warzynski of Westfield, WI. and 1 Brother: George (wife Mary) Schmiester of Antigo, WI. and a Brother in law: Ed Keating of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. at The Ehorn - Adams Funeral Home in Richmond, IL.

Funeral: Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church in Spring Grove, Il. on Dec. 23, 2002 at 11:00 AM. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Spring Grove, Ill with Rev. Stephen St.Jules offficiating.
