James Dewitt Kirkpatrick November 21, 1914 - January 20, 2003

James Dewitt Kirkpatrick 1914 - 2003 James Dewitt Kirkpatrick, age 88, of Mountain Home, died Monday, January 20, 2003.

He was born on November 21, 1914, at El Paso, Arkansas, the son of William Kirkpatrick and Mary Walthall Kirkpatrick. On June 1, 1934, he was married to Mazelle Lambert Kirkpatrick, who preceded him in death on March 26, 1999.

He was a World War II SeaBees Navy veteran. He was a lumber grader for Barksdale Lumber Company for over thirty years. Hunting or fishing, he enjoyed the outdoors and to everyone that knew him, he was a kind, gentle man. He was an incredible storyteller and in his later years he fulfilled a lifelong desire to be an Ozark mountain man.

He is survived by two daughters and sons - in - law, Sue and Bill Smith of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Phyllis and Sam Speer of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Stephanie Benton, Denny Bellieu, and Greg Speer; two great - grandchildren, Jeremy Benton and Marine Corp Lance Corporal Tyler Benton.

Graveside services will be in Jones Cemetery at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 23, 2003, with Bro. John McAnally officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis - Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Guest registry is at www.davissmithfuneralhome.com.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 PM to 8 PM.

Memorials may be made to the Jones Cemetery, c/o Dora Lee Bean, 316 N. Hill Street, Amity, Arkansas 71921.

Violet Ruth Kleinblossom 1922 - 2002

Violet Ruth Kleinblossom, of Bull Shoals, was born on February 24, 1922 at Delavan, IL. to Ray W. and Jennie Jennings Hymbaugh. She was a secretary for the Caterpiller Tractor Co. She moved to Mountain Home, in 1975 from Pekin, IL. where she married Tony Kleinblossom. She was a presbyterian. She passed away on June 24, 2002 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, MO. at the age of 80 years and 4 months.

Survived by: 2 Sons: Stanley J. Miller (Joy) of Pekin, IL. and Steven R. Miller of East Peoria, IL, 1 Daughter: Carol Jane Lister of Marquette Heights, IL, 1 Grandson: William Thompson of Marquette Heights, IL and 1 Great Grandson: Joshua Lee Thompson of Vero Beach, FL., 2 Sisters: Lila Jenkins (William) of Pekin, IL. and Doris Bardner of Lewistown, IL.

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husband, 3 Brothers, and 1 sister.

Burial arrangements: Orndorf Cemetery in Hopedale, IL.

Jean E. Klopfenstein 1930 - 2003

She was born March 31, 1930 at St. Paul, MN to Walter and Florence Cline Klopfenstein. She was a resident of Mountain Home, AR since moving from Rolling Meadows, IL in September 1997. She was executive secretary for DuPont Corporation. She was an avid reader, enjoyed music, and loved roses. She was a member of the Coping with Cancer Support Group. She attended First United Methodist Church.

Survived by: She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a sister in law, Rita Klopfenstein of East Sandwich, MA.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry, and a sister, Vera Sciullo.

Funeral: Graveside Service for Jean E. Klopfenstein, 73, will be Wednesday, 4:00 at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Rodney Auria officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home. Jean Klopfenstein died Monday, June 2, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Susan Kloppman 1954 - 2003

Susan K. Kloppman was born August 10, 1954 at Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Michael and Patricia Watson Trompak. She was a resident of Detroit and was a waitress. Susan K. Kloppman entered into eternal rest on October 13, 2003 at Detroit at the age of 49 years, 2 months and 3 days.

Survived by: Mother: Patricia Smith of Bull Shoals, Arkansa; 2 Brothers: Michael Trompak of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Douglas Trompak of Bull Shoals

Preceded in Death by: Father and a sister, Patricia Trompak

Funeral: Memorial service at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at 10:00 AM with Nicholas C. Lascaro officiating

Burial arrangements: Burial will be private.

Doris L. Knight 1911 - 2002

Doris L. Knight, of Mountain Home, was born November 30, 1911 at Decatur, IL. to Robert Roy and Ruby May Johnson Miller. She married Jack Knight and was a bookkeeper - Secretary in the Vending Business. She moved to Mountain Home in July 1987 from Springfield, IL. She passed away on June 7, 2002 in Care Manor Nursing Home at the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 17 days.

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husband, 8 brothers and sisters.

Funeral: Graveside services were held on June 15, 2002 at Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, IL. with Reverend Paul Black officating.

Gertrude Koblitz 1910 - 2003

Gertrude Koblitz was born on February 27, 1910 at Cunow under Strasse, Germany to Ernst and Marie Mueller Riewe. She married Alfred Koblitz in 1929 at Berlin Germany and came to the USA in 1930. They lived in the Chicago area and then moved to Springfield, Mo. where they owned their own Dental Instruments Manufacturing Company. She passed away on May 18, 2003 at Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 21 days.

Survived by: 1 sister - Elfriede Pfitzing of Northlake, Ill and 1 Nephew Lutz Riewe of Northlake, Ill and 1 niece Monica Haun of Berlin Germany.

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husband, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral: Graveside services will be held on May 27, 2003 at Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield, Mo at 11:00 a.m.

Frank Joseph Kohn 1920 - 2003

Frank Joseph Kohn was born August 7, 1920 at New York City, NY the son of Gottlieb and Antonia Jeredek Kohn. He served in the US Navy on the Battleship U.S.S. Washington from 1941 to 1945. He married Edna Blatchley on November 16, 1945 at Freehold, NH. They moved to the Central Coast area of CA in 1954. The Kohn’s moved to the Ozarks Region in 1995. He did Maintenance for General Telephone Company and retired in 1982. He loved fishing and spent a great deal of time during his retirement out on the Pacific Ocean on his boat. He also enjoyed carving and other woodworking projects. He was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church in Moody, MO. Frank Joseph Kohn entered into eternal rest on June 1, 2003 at Caulfield, MO at the age of 82 years, 9 months, and 24 days.

Survived by: Wife - Edna Kohn of Caufield, MO Son - Thomas Kohn and wife Cynthia of Caulfield, MO Granddaughter - April Kohn of Caulfield, MO Sisters - Emily Kezuleh of Port St. Lucie, FL Alice McGlynn of Cypress, TX

Patricia Ann Korn 1924 - 2002

Patricia Ann Korn of Mountain Home was born October 1, 1924 at Chicago,IL.to Otto H. and Bonnie J. Mills Korn. She moved to Cotter in 1960 and lived there until moving to Mtn. Home in 2000.She ran for the Quorum Court twice, Was a member of the Baxter County Republician Central Committee, Member of the Twin Lakes Republican Women, VFW Auxillary #5742 in Cotter and the Ladie guild at Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was a Member. She passed away on September 5, 2002 at her residence at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 4 days.

Visitation: Visitation was held on Monday Sept. 9, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral: Graveside Services were held on September 10, 2002 at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Cotter with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating.

Memorials: Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Dollie C. Kornblum 1941 - 2003

Funeral services for Dollie C. Kornblum of Mountain Home will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Brooks officiating. Mrs. Kornblum died Friday, January 10, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Dollie Kornblum was born in Dell, Ark. on November 8, 1942 to Bernard and Estell Capell Stark. She married Michael C. Kornblum on January 4, 1964 at Blytheville, Arkansas. Since moving to Mountain Home in 1993 from California, Dollie Kornblum became very active in the Arts and Crafts Association and loved to needlepoint, crochet, toile paint and embroidery.

Dollie is survived by her husband, sons, Philip (Holli) Kornblum of Riverside, Ca. and Joel (Roshelle) Kornblum of San Bernardino, Ca.; parents, Bernard and Estell Stark, one brother, Joey Stark and 2 sisters, Laverne White and Carey Decker all of Blytheville, 3 grandchildren, Bryson, Jalyn and Joshua Kornblum and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandparents.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 on Monday, January 13, 2003 at the Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home.

Bernice Krebill 1909 - 2002

Bernice Gertrude Krebill was born September 9, 1909 at Harrisburg, South Dakota the daughter of Arthur E. Hart and Angelena Reddingius Hart. She married Erwin Carl Krebill at Harrisburg, South Dakota on September 3, 1935 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Blue Island, Illinois in 1971. She was a former school teacher in the Illinois School System, member of Retired Teachers Association of Illinois and enjoyed gardening and reading. She died on April 4, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 92.

Survived by: 2 Sons: Wesley (Joyce) Krebill of Wildwood, Missouri, Gilbert (Jean) Krebill of Chicago, Illinois; 1 Sister Hazel Faust of Mankato, Minnesota; 2 Grandchildren Lyle Krebill of Lafayette, Colorado and Kim Gore of Napierville, Illinois; 4 great grandchildren

Funeral: April 8, 2002 at Good Samaritan Village at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Brooks officiating.

Burial arrangements: Baxter Memorial Gardens at Mountain Home, Arkansas

Erwin Krebill 1906 - 2002

Erwin Carl Krebill was born January 27, 1906 at Donnellson, Iowa the son of Edwin Jacob Krebill and Magdalena Mary Schlicher Krebill. He married Bernice Gertrude hart at Harrisburg, South Dakota on September 23, 1935 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Blue Island, Illinois in 1971. He was a former Auto Service Manager for Roy Crist Cadillac Dealership and a member of First United Methodist Church. He died at Good Samaritan Village on March 21, 2002 at the age of 96.

Survived by: Wife: Bernice Krebill; 2 Sons: Wesley (Joyce) Krebill of Wildwood, Missouri, Gilbert (Jean) Krebill of Chicago, Illinos; 1 Sister Faye Bergthold of Ft. Madison, Iowa; 1 Brother Glen Krebill of Moline, Illinois; Grandchildren Lyle Krebill and Kim Gore; 4 Great Grandchildren
