HAZEL LANGLEY

STAMPS, Ark. - Hazel Lorine Langley, 89, of Stamps died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, in a Magnolia, Ark., hospital.

Mrs. Langley was born Sept. 21, 1914, in Manning, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Stamps First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cortez Langley; one son, Don Langley; and one daughter, Georgia Sims.

Survivors include one son and two daughters - in - law, Mike and Kathy Langley of Stamps and Peggy Langley of Magnolia; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great - grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Lakeside Cemetery with the Revs. Michael Gordon and Charles Walthall officiating. Burial will be under direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home.

WILLIS HODGES

HOPE, Ark. - Willis D. Hodges, 92, of Hope died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Hodges was born Nov. 17, 1911, in Vilonia, Ark. He was the former owner and operator of Dell's Shoe Store and a Nazarene. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Lance Crane.

Survivors include his wife, Verna Dell Crane Hodges of Hope; two sons and one daughter - in - law, Jerry and Glanis Crane of Hope and Bobby Crane of New York; two brothers, Dick Hodges of California and Billy Hodges of Texas; two grandchildren, Autumn Crane and Nathaniel Crane; and one great - grandchild, Jonathan Crane.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Cumbie officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CORDIE SHAW

HOPE, Ark. - Cordie L. Shaw, 86, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Hicks Funeral Home.

CHARLES MORRIS

SPRINGHILL, La. - Charles William "Billy" Morris, 58, of Taylor, Ark., died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at his home.

Mr. Morris was born Oct. 22, 1945, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a truck driver, a Baptist and an Vietnam War Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jan Nickelson Morris of Taylor; two sons, Rodney Morris of Village, Ark., and Jason Morris of Garland City, Ark.; three stepchildren, Donna Snider and David Jennings of Springhill and Tony Jennings of Sarepta, La.; two sisters, Jo Cunningham of Texarkana and Charlotte Bergananni of Genoa, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. Sunday in Stateline Cemetery, Bradley, Ark., with the Rev. Bill Carl Morris officiating. Burial was under direction of Bailey Mortuary.

JIMMY ELLIS

MURFREESBORO, Ark. - Jimmy Eugene Ellis, 60, of Murfreesboro died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, in a local hospital.

Mr. Ellis was born Oct. 4, 1943, in Saratoga, Ark. He was employed by James Hardie Gypsum, a member of Murfreesboro Church of Christ and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette Ellis of Murfreesboro; three daughters and two sons - in - law, Melissa and Tim Cox of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Amanda and Kyle Jackson and Shelley Ellis of Murfreesboro; one brother, Tommy Joe Ellis of Center Ridge, Ark.; one sister, Elizabeth Marsh of Nashville, Ark.; and two grandsons, Trace Cox and Tyler Cox.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Murfreesboro Church of Christ with Tommy Mounts officiating. Burial will be in Murfreesboro Cemetery under direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Murfreesboro Church of Christ.

NETTIE McGOOGIN

Nettie Lou McGoogin, 69, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at her home.

Arrangements are pending with East Funeral Home, downtown.

RUBEN REYNOLDS

Ruben "R.D." Reynolds, 80, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Reynolds was born Feb. 23, 1923, in Stamps, Ark. He was a member of Cathedral Heights Nazarene Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Reynolds; two daughters and one son - in - law, Brenda and Bill Sisco and Glenda Reynolds; one sister and brother - in - law, Joyce and Cecil Durham; one brother and two sisters - in - law, James and Donna Ramsey and Freddie Hackler; four grandchildren; three great - grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Cathedral Heights Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Roy Edwards officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown.

The family will be at 712 Fairview, Texarkana, Ark.

EULA GOAD

NASHVILLE, Ark. - Eula Mae Goad, 96, of Nashville died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Goad was born Feb. 15, 1907, in Mineral Springs, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Mineral Springs United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one sister - in - law, Johnnie Teague Nutt of Mineral Springs; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Mineral Springs Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Mineral Springs United Methodist Church.

DIXIE WAGNON

WARREN, Ark. - Dixie Rose Wagnon, 66, of Warren died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Wagnon was born March 17, 1937, in Lee County, Ark. She was retired from Mohawk Rubber Co. and Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center, and a member of Warren and Marvell First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas "Jr" Wagnon of Warren; two sons, Mitchell Lee Reed of Searcy, Ark., and Vince Reed of Texarkana; two stepsons, Tony Wagnon and Jackie Wagnon of Warren; one brother, Ted Stingley of Shell Knob, Mo.; two sisters, Paula Huitt of Denham Springs, La., and Ada Lou Andrews of Louisville, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and three great - grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Frazer's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Sunset Memorial Park, West Helena, Ark.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

BILLY RICHARDSON JR.

Billy Wayne Richardson Jr., 23, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, in New Boston, Texas.

Arrangements are pending with Haynes Mortuary.

CORDIE SHAW

HOPE, Ark. - Cordie Lee Terrell Shaw, 86, of Hope died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.

Eldress Shaw was born May 29, 1917, in Nashville, Ark. She was a member of The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob. She was preceded in death by three sons; and one grandson.

Survivors include five sons; Robert C. Johnson, James N. Johnson and Ezekiel Thomas of Hope and Clerence D. Johnson and Jerry Thomas of Orlando, Fla.; one stepson, Willie L. Witherspoon; three daughters, Ruby L. Muldrow of Hope and Johnnie M. Fantroy and Mae A. Sampson of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, William H. Terrell of Dallas and Harry H. Terrell of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Maude Garland of Phoenix and Velma Richardson of Akron, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; 25 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Rising Star Baptist Church with Bishop T. Malachi Pollard officiating. Burial will be in Scott's Memorial Gardens, Perrytown, Ark., under direction of Hicks Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
