Joseph Picha 1925 - 2002

Joseph Picha was Born January 31,1925 in Berwyn, Ill. to Joseph F. and Marie S. Slavickova Picha. He married Bessie Novy on June 22, 1988 in Lakeview, Arkansas. He was a carpenter for the Jewel Companies for 31 years. He passed away on November 7, 2002 at his Residence in Lakeview, Arkansas at the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 6 days. He had been a resident of Lakeview since 1988 moving from Westchester, Ill.

Visitation: Monday, November 11, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral: Graveside Memorial Services were at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park, Ill.

Mary Picou 1931 - 2002

Mary Ellen Picou was born August 17, 1931 at Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Frank Sickle and Mable Armentrout Sickle. She married Thomas Roy Picou at Decatur, Illinois on July 16, 1970 and had resided in the Gamaliel area since moving from Decatur, Illinois in 1971. She was owner of P.Q's One Stop and member of Firehouse Bingo Club. She died at her residence on May 17, 2002 at the age of 70.

Survived by: Husband, Thomas; sons, Ernest Lee Glenn of Jonesboro, TN, Wilson L. Glenn of Illinois, Steven Joe Glenn of Missouri; daughter, Glory Ann Thompson of Illinois; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

Preceded in Death by: Parents, 1 Son

Funeral: May 20, 2002 at 10;00 AM with Reverend Eddie Miller officiating.

Robert Leroy Pierret 1930 - 2003

Funeral Service for Robert Leroy Pierret, 72, will be Sunday, 3:00 PM, at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home with Deacon Richard Linstad officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. Robert Pierret died Friday, January 17, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born February 26, 1930 at Dell Rapids, SD to Victor and Dagny Johnson Pierret. He married Alice E. Jones on June 11, 1954 at Sioux Falls, SD. He was Assembly Foreman for Allied Signal Air Research Company. He was a resident of Mountain Home, AR since moving from Carson, CA in October 1995. He was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, and the Catholic Order of Forresters. He was a member of the Bull Shoals, Retirement Fishing Club, the Twin Lakes Gun Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting and card playing. He is survived by his wife - Alice, son - Roderick J. Pierret of Mountain Home; brother - Dennis Pierret of Newport Beach, CA; 5 sisters - Darlene Schnieders of Dell Rapids, SD, Betty DePriest of Thomaston, GA, Janice Benavides of Tempe, AZ, Carolyn Powell of Mountain Home, and Norene (Lyle) Frederickson of Dell Rapids, SD; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and 2 brothers. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Marie Pietrandoni 1917 - 2002

Marie Elizabeth Pietradoni was born August 23, 1917 at Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Sebastion Schwager and Rose Frisinger Schwager. She married Daniel Pietrandoni at Chicago in 1982 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Chicago in 1982. She was a homemaker and member of St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church. She died at Baxter Regional Medical Center on March 26, 2002 at the age of 84.

Survived by: Husband Danny; 1 Son Thomas (Betty) Schulte of Bolingbrook, Illinois; 2 Daughters Joanne (George) Contos of Nile, Illinois and Dianne (Earl) Schrack of Brownsburg, Indiana; 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren

Preceded in Death by: Parents, 1st Husband Thomas Schulte, 1 Brother and 1 Sister

Fredina Emile Pittman 1915 - 2003

Fredina Emile Pittman was born August 13, 1915 at Dallas, Texas to Burr Ivey and Lillian Beautrice Hornbuckle Mullendore. She married Robert A. Pittman on December 30, 1944 at Tulsa, Oklahoma and was a nurse and a homemaker. She was a WWII Womens Army Corps veteran. She moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1989 from Peoria Arizona and was a member of the Sabbath of God Church in Little Rock. She passed away on February 12, 2003 at her residence in Mountian Home, Arkansas at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 29 days.

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husband, 1 Step brother Harold Ward

Funeral: Graveside Services were held on February 14, 2003 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Warren Zehrung and the North Central Arkansas Veteran's Council officiating.

Memorials: Hospice of the Ozarks.

Carolyn Porter December 28, 1928 - June 23, 2003

Carolyn Porter was born December 28, 1928 at Wonewoc, Wisconsin, to Vernon and Florence Gardner Davis. She married Thomas A. Porter on July 14, 1983 at Las Vegas, Nevada. A resident of Flippin, since moving from Berlin, Wisconsin in 1990, she worked in manufacturing for Sunbeam Corporation. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 23, 2003 at her residence at the age of 73 years, 5 months, and 26 days.

Survived by: She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Porter, of the home; three stepsons, Thomas A. Porter, Jr. of Illinois, Michael Porter, of Falls Church, Virginia, and Ronald Porter of Illinois, one stepdaughter, Julie (Edward) Swallow, of Ashland, Oregon; eleven step - grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Davis of Florence, Oregon; four sisters, Rosemary (Joseph) Rathsack of Junction City, Oregon, Dolores (Aloysius) Novak of Princeton, Wisconsin, Margaret (Jim) Call of Brigham City, Utah, and Sharon (Ed) Schultz of Florence Oregon.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents.

Stephen Bruce Porter January 6,1943 - November 7, 2002

Stephen Bruce Porter was born January 6, 1943 at Long Beach, California the son of Raymond Leon Porter and Priscilla U. Gepner Porter. He was a resident of Midway, AR since moving from Dallas, TX in 1981. He was a roofer. He was a member of the Fraternal order of Eagles at Midway, and a member of the Moose Lodge, and was Baptist.

Survived by: 1 Daughter - Katrina Grape and husband Steven of Richardson, Texas 3 Brothers - Vernon Porter and wife Beth of Murphy, Texas Rex Porter and wife Dianne of Las Cruces, New Mexico Alan Porter and wife Mary of Arlington, Texas

Funeral: There will be a graveside service, Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas

Mildred Poundstone 1908 - 2002

Mildred Lucille Poundstone was born August 5, 2002 at Macon County, Illinois the daughter of Issac L. Weakley and Myrtle L. Pounds Weakley. She married Judson Poundstone at Cerro Gorda, Illinois on July 14, 1918 and had resided at Corpus Christi, Texas since moving from Bull Shoals aarea in 1996. A homemaker, she was a member of Quilters Ladies Circle, Marion County Home Extension and Bull Shoals Methodist Church. In 1946 she was awarded an accomendation from US War Dept. for her service in the WWII Atomic Bomb Project. She died in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 5, 2002 at the age of 94.

Survived by: 1 daughter, Patricia Ann Poundstone Meyer of Corpus Christi, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Karen Ann Porter of Raleigh, NC, Kim Ellen Cannon of Tyler, TX, Kevin Todd Meyer of Corpus Christi, TX; 4 great grandchildren Matthew & Zachary Cannon, Julia & Eric Porter

Margaret C. Powell 96, of Greensburg Pennsylvania. she was born February 24, 1906 in Ellwood City, PA to thomas and Nancy Pander Clyde. She was a housewife and a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survived by: she is survived by 2 sisters: Sara Patterson and Letita Wallace of Ellwood City, PA.

Elda Powers 1912 - 2002

Elda Loy Powers was born September 11, 1912 at El Dorado, Kansas the daughter of Milton Choens and Anna Belle McMillin Choens. She married the late Kermit Powers at El Dorado, Kansas on April 12, 1936 and had resided in the Yellville area since moving from Thayer, Kansas in 1961. She was a newspaper publisher for Mountain Echo.

Billy Presley 1941 - 2002

Billy Dwain Presley was born February 3, 1941 at Alpena, Arkansas the son of Clarence Presley and Ina Jenkins Presley. He married Monnie Anne Turner at Monroe, Louisana on June 29, 1963. He was owner of Presley Veterinary Clinic for 25 years and a member of Knights of Columbus, American Veterniary Medical Assoc; Arkansas Veterinary Medical Assoc and member of St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church. He died at Baxter Regional Medical Center on August 23, 2002 at the age of 61 years.

Survived by: Wife, Anne Presley; Daughter Gretchen (Michael) McCaskey of Bartlett, TN; 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Molly & Eric McCaskey of Bartlett, TN; 2 Brothers Clabe Presley of Brookport, Illinois and John Presley of Newcastle, OK; 2 Sisters Floy Voigt of Harrison, AR and Mary Thomason of Scottsdale, Arizona

Eleanor Jean Pridemore, 80, of Mountain Home died October 7, 2003 at UAMS hospital in Little Rock. She was born September 7, 1923 in Washington, IN. to William Jay and Nellie Cecil Hays Blackwell. She married Floyd Pridemore March 12, 1966 at New Berlin, WS. She was a Retired Substitute Teacher for Mountain Home School District. She Moved to Mountain Home in 1968 from Pewaukee, WS. She was a long time avid Bowler, Director for Bowling Tournaments, BRMC Volunteer, and Evening Receptionist at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home. She was a member of Cumberland Fellowship Presbyterian Church.

Survived by: She is survived by her husband Floyd Pridemore of Mountain Home. Two daughters Marshs Himler of Stillwater, N.Y. Karen Moerbe of Corpus Christi,TX., one son Donny Pridemore of Hartford, WS., Five Grandchildren Danny, Paul, Timmy, Martina, and Chris,and Several nieces and nephews including Judy Clark and Robbie Blackwell.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Funeral: Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday October 10, 2003 at the Cumberland Fellowship Presbyteriann Church with Reverend Carl Cook officiating.

James G. Priest, Sr. 1922 - 2003

James Gibson Priest, Sr. was born June 4, 1922 at Korea, Va. to George H. and Lena P. Heflin Priest. He married Doris Wall on Feb. 3, 1951 at Washington, D.C. where he was a police officer with the Metropolitain Police Department in Washington D.C. He moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1992 from Clinton, Md. where he passed away at the age of 80 years, 7 months, and 24 days.

Survived by: Wife: Doris Priest of Mountain Home and 1 Son James G. Priest, Jr. ( wife Nancy) of Mountain Home, and 1 granddaughter: Lauren Priest of Mountain Home

Visitation: Friday, January 31, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2003 at the Twin Lakes Baptist Church of Mountain Home with Rev. Sam Bailey, Officiating.
