Martha Ann Hogan
March 10, 1908 - December 24, 2001

Martha Ann Hogan, 93, of Perryville, died Monday December 24, 2001 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville. Born March 10, 1908 at Cement, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late George H. Rogers and Maude Marshall Rogers.
Mrs. Hogan moved to Grant County Arkansas from Oklahoma at age 12. She was educated in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan Schools in 1927. She completed her nurses training at Davis Hospital in Pine Bluff, becoming a Registered Nurse in 1930. She specialized in private duty nursing until 1947 when she became a Public Health Nurse for Jefferson County. She was employed as a Health Nurse at Dollarway Schools from 1966 to 1976.
Mrs. Hogan was a retired member of the Arkansas Nurses Association and a member of Southside Baptist Church of Pine Bluff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne A. Hogan.
Survivors include her sons, Wayne R. Hogan of Perryville and Edward L. Hogan of Pine Bluff; two brothers, Fred M. Rogers of Witchita Falls, Texas and Dewey H. Rogers of Waco, Texas. four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 2:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2001 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Dr. J.R. DeBusk officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Robinson's.

William Odell Cagle
August 07, 1927 - July 30, 2004

William Odell Cagle, 76, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 7, 1927, in Pine Bluff to the late Charlie William and Mittie Gober Cagle.
Mr. Cagle was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Mr. Cagle worked at SBC for 42 years before retiring in 1988.
He was a member of Whiteville Missionary Baptist Church and the White Sulphur Lodge # 122.
Mr. Cagle was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Cagle.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Easterling Cagle, whom he married on June 20, 1953, in Pine Bluff; a son, David Cagle of St. Charles; two daughters, Lynelle Thompson of Texarkana, Arkansas; Cindy Williams of Malvern; a brother, Louis Cagle of Tyler, Texas; three sisters, Genimae Hall of Heber Springs, Eva Clowers of Heber Springs, Imogene Holloway of San Angelo, Texas; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, 2 to 4 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son.
Services are 10 AM, Monday, August 2, 2004, Chapel of Ralph Robinsion and Son with Pastor Lowe Stone and Pastor Billy West officiating.Burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery.

Eula Mae Keller
October 11, 1916 - July 30, 2004

Eula Mae Keller, 87, of Pine Bluff died Friday, July 30, 2004 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
She was born October 11, 1916 in Pine Bluff, a daughter of John Clarence Sauerbrunn and Cornelia Gammill Sauerbrunn.
Mrs. Keller was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She graduated from Henderson State Teacher's College with a degree in Education. Mrs. Keller taught school in Fordyce and Dollarway in the 1950s before retiring to take care of her family.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Mrs. Keller was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl John Keller; brother, J. C. Sauerbrunn, Jr.; and three sisters, Emily McCance, Cornelia Daniels and Ethel McBurnett.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeri Sue Thompson of Almyra, Arkansas and Sandra Ann Whitehurst of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Monday, August 2, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Bellwood Annex Cemetery with the Reverend Bruce Bixler and Reverend Delores Stroud officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 3911 S. Hazel, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603 or the church or charity of your choice.

Rose Marie Law
September 11, 1946 - August 02, 2004

Rose Marie Law, age 57, of Pine Bluff, died at Jefferson Regional Medical Center Monday, August 2, 2004. She was born September 11, 1946, in Pine Bluff, a daughter of Ina Mae Clark and the late Raymond Joe William Jones.
Mrs. Law was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. She was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School.
She had worked at both Motel 8 as a desk clerk and at the Windsor Inn as a bookkeeper before retiring in 2000.
Mrs. Law was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by and infant daughter, Laura Lee Houston; her grandfather and her father.
Mrs. Law is survived by her husband, Harold Law of Pine Bluff; a daughter, Raina Houston of Pine Bluff; two sons, Robert Houston and Shane Kelley, both of Pine Bluff; her mother; one brother, Joe Harris of Fayetteville; two sisters, Carol Francis of Fayetteville and Mary Pitts of Pine Bluff; her grandmother, Lottie Bell Johnson Clark; one grandson and one granddaughter.
A memorial service will be Thursday, August 5, 2004, at 2:00 P M in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Reverend Tim Law officiating.

Marilyn Sue Hibbard
December 15, 1948 - August 09, 2004

Marilyn Sue Hibbard, 55, of Perryville, Arkansas, died Monday, August 9, 2004, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
Ms. Hibbard was born December 15, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to E. L. and Betty Bailey Bost. She was reared and educated in Altheimer, Arkansas, where she graduated from Altheimer High School. She graduated from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
She was an art teacher at Perryville High School.
Ms. Hibbard was a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church.
Her survivors include two sons, Jody Hibbard of Star City, Arkansas, and Jeffery Hibbard of Perryville, Arkansas; three grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne Reed of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Kelli Porter of Altheimer, Arkansas; father and mother, E. L. "Doc" and Betty Bost of Altheimer, Arkansas; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Greg Bost.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the Perryville United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 11, 2004, 1:00 PM, at the Perryville United Methodist Church with Doctor Beverly Watkins officiating.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, August 12, 2004, 11:00 AM, at Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
The family has asked that memorials take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6635, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71611 or Perryville United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 645, Perryville, Arkansas 72126.

Florence Payne Chamberlin
August 05, 1905 - August 13, 2004

Florence P. Chamberlin, 99, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, August 13, 2004 at Trinity Village Medical Center.
She was born on August 5, 1905 at Waldron, Missouri, the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Mary E. Hooper Payne. She was reared and received her early education in Missouri.
Mrs. Chamberlin was a Methodist. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, gardening and care taking.
She moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas from Old Town, Florida in August of 1996.
Mrs. Chamberlin was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Chamberlin, a 30 year veteran of the U.S. Navy; two brothers and one sister.
There are no immediate survivors.
A private interment will be held at Imperial Gardens Cemetery. Local arrangements were handled by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to the Texarkana Orphanage in Texarkana, Arkansas.

John Wesley Hathcoat
August 31, 1936 - August 15, 2004

James Wesley Hathcoat, Sr., 67, of Hardin died Sunday, August 15, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 31, 1936, a son of the late Willie Bye Hathcoat and Jewell Mozell Henderson Hathcoat, formerly of Jonesboro.
He was a member and a deacon of Faith Bible Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Katharn Kersey, formerly of Batesville.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ruby Taylor Hathcoat; one son, James Hathcoat, Jr.; one daughter, Angela Thayer, all of Pine Bluff; one brother, Joe H. Hathcoat, of Bono; one sister, Jeane Coots, of Jonesboro; one grandson, David Roy Thayer, Jr.; one granddaughter, Krystal Marie Thayer and one step-granddaughter, Amanda Marie Thompson.
Graveside services at Hardin Cemetery will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 19, 2004 with Reverend David Dodson and the Pastor John Taylor officating. Burial will be by Ralph Robinson and Son.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Gideons International, in the name of James Hathcoat, Sr., P.O. Box 6452, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71611.

Alan Wayne Brasher
August 01, 1967 - August 18, 2004

Alan Wayne Brasher, age 37, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, August 18, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 1, 1967, in Magnolia, a son of Rodney Wayne and Mary Annie Edison Brasher.
He was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1985. He attended Southeast Arkansas College. He worked as an carpenter helping to build several of the local motels and restaurants.
Mr. Brasher was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church .
He is survived by two sons, Jacob Alan and Justin Lee Brasher, both of Rison; his parents Rodney Wayne and Mary Annie Edison Brasher of Pine Bluff; and his paternal grandmother, Opal Brasher of Magnolia.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas and Jason Brasher; his maternal grandparents, Cone and Willie Mary Edison; and his paternal grandfather, Bascom Brasher. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 21, 2004, at Fitzhugh Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend David Cripps officiating.
The family will receive friends at Ralph Robinson and Son on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Caroline Taylor Evans
February 20, 1926 - August 28, 2004

Caroline Taylor Evans, 78, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, August 28, 2004 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
She was born February 20, 1926 in Colquit, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Carl E. Taylor and Gladys DeLoach Taylor. Mrs. Evans was reared in New Hope, Arkansas, graduating from Parker's Chapel High School in 1944.
Caroline Taylor married William R. Perry in June of 1945 in El Dorado, Arkansas. She worked for Southwestern Bell, Griffin Auto and Southern Folder in El Dorado before moving to Pine Bluff in 1957. Caroline Perry married Billy L. Evans on April 12, 1964 in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Mrs. Evans was a very active member of the Pine Bluff community. She was a long time Secretary and Treasurer of the Green Meadows Baptist Church. Mrs. Evans also held memberships in the Pine Bluff Quilt Guild, Pine Bluff Comprehensive Care Crafters, Southeast Jefferson County Volunteer Fire Department Auxillary and a lifetime member of Weight Watchers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William R. Perry and her second husband, Billy L. Evans.
Mrs. Evans is survived by a daughter, Paula (Davis) Perry of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Mildred Weber of Haughton, Louisiana and Bobbie Cottrell of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, John R. Davis, III and Rachel E. Bolen, both of Star City, Arkansas and Perry Davis of Pine Bluff; and three great-grandchildren, John R. Davis, IV and Ryan Suzanne Davis, both of Star City, Arkansas and Cody York of Pine Bluff.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Green Meadows Baptist Church with Reverend Burt Thomas officiating. The family will be at the home of Paula Perry, 3826 Highway 425, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Arrangements handled by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
