Gary William Prince
December 01, 1981 - January 05, 2002

Gary William Prince, 20, died as the result of a motor vehicle accident early Saturday morning.
He was born December 1, 1981, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas a son of Gary Marlow Prince and Debbie Wood.
Mr. Prince was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff. He attended Pine Bluff High School. He worked as a supervisor for Wilson Landscape, and previously worked as an assistant manager for Burger King in Conway.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Dempsey and Verna Prince and his maternal grandfather, Elmer Wood.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Christine Prince of Greenbrier, AR, and Debbie and Everette Ewing of Pine Bluff; a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Tony Allen; a nephew Hunter Allen of Pine Bluff; a stepsister, Brandy Francis Prince of Greenbrier, AR; a half-brother, Gary Marlow Prince of Greenbrier, AR; a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Audrey Wood of Pine Bluff; several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, 5 to 7 PM at Robinson's. The funeral service will be 3:30 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2002 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Dr. J.R. DeBusk officiating. Burial will be at Cypress Memorial Gardens.

Dorothy Hill Bragg
June 09, 1911 - November 10, 2004

Dorothy Hill Bragg of Pine Bluff, age 93, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 10, 2004. She was born at Pine Bluff, June 9, 1911, the second daughter of the late George Randolph and Mary Mae Borecky Hill.
Dorothy received her education in the Pine Bluff School System. She married Guy R. Bragg on June 23, 1936, at Rison, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Ann Hill Lawing and Willie Hill Brown of Pine Bluff; two brothers, George Randolph Hill, Jr., of West Memphis, Arkansas and Morton R. "Red" Hill of Pine Bluff.
Survivors include a brother, Robert L. "Bob" Hill of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Hazel Hill McCook of Pine Bluff and Mary Hill Fleming of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Dorothy was a quiet natured, kind and gentle person and very family oriented. She was always interested in attending the family gatherings. Within her family she was known for her delicious homemade chocolate and coconut cream pies. When a short trip was mentioned, she was ready at a moments notice. However, she was very emphatic to say she didn't want an overnight trip, and seldom did she take one.
Dorothy maintained a high level of physical activity into her late 80's, taking particular enjoyment in her hobby of collecting shoes. The collection contains all sizes; some made of wood, metal, glass, porcelain and other materials. Her collection was started in 1936, with a shoe given to Dorothy by her mother who received it as a wedding gift in 1908. Many of the shoes were gifts given by family members. A number of the shoes were given by her three brothers, who served in different areas of operations, during World War II. The collection now has an accumulation of over 1400 shoes. Her other pastimes were playing cards, working crossword and box puzzles. Family members were always welcomed in this entertainment, which she approached with much fervor.
Dorothy lived her long healthy life well. She was always available to meet the needs of her family members. Truly, she was a unique and remarkable lady. Aunt Dot, we will miss you.
Dorothy's collection of shoes will be permanently maintained at the Pine Bluff/ Jefferson County Historical Museum.
Celebration of life with graveside services are scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Bluff Graceland Cemetery, by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. The Reverend Jim Ratliff of Columbus, Mississippi, will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM at the Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be her many nephews and nieces, including the great and great-great nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be made to Baptist Health Hospice, 11900 Colonel Glenn Road, Suite 2000, Little Rock, AR 72210-2827.

Charles Edwin Burton
November 08, 1918 - November 24, 2004

Charles E. Burton, 86, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born November 8, 1918, in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was a son of Charles J. and Flora Greenwell Burton.
Mr. Burton was reared and received his early education in Caruthersville, Missouri. He married Cora Abigail Malone on February 13, 1936, in Caruthersville. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War ll. Mr. Burton moved to Pine Bluff in 1954. He was a press foreman for Federal Compress for 32 years, retiring in 1981. After retiring he was a van driver for the McFarland Eye Center. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Cora Abigail Malone Burton and his parents.
Survivors include; two sons, Robert E. Burton of Pine Bluff and Terry A. Burton of Wilmington, Virginia; one daughter, Shelby Etheridge of Mobile, Alabama; four sisters, Christina Hill of Caruthersville, Missouri, Dot Owens of Shreveport, Louisiana, Ann Crole of Jackson, Missouri and Eleanor Shuck of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one brother, Joseph Burton of Jackson, Tennessee; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 27, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jack Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. The vigil will be at 6:00 PM Friday, November 26, 2004, at Ralph Robinson & Son. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6th and Walnut Street Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71601.

Annie Lou Coser Langrell
July 20, 1929 - November 24, 2004

Annie Lou Coser Langrell, 75, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born July 20, 1929 in Jefferson County, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late George Coser and Estelle Phillips Coser. Mrs. Langrell was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1948.
Annie Lou Coser married Chester Langrell December 29, 1950 in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Langrell worked as an operator and draftswoman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 34 years.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church and Telephone Pioneers.
Mrs. Langrell was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Coser and sister, Mazie Lee Coser McDade.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Chester Langrell of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Ann Renee Langrell Jelks and Gail Marie Langrell Massey, both of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Theda Coser Gathright of Pine Bluff and Marie Coser Martin of Batesville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Kaci Rayann Jelks and John Ross Jelks, both of Pine Bluff; and two step-grandchildren, Mark Alan Jelks and Jameson Dale Massey, both of Pine Bluff.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Gary Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Robinson's.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 6107 Dollarway Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71602.

Hazel Marie Ard
July 25, 1918 - November 25, 2004

Hazel Marie Heird Ard, 86, a resident of Pine Bluff died Thursday, November 25, 2004, at her residence.
Born July 25, 1918, in the Cedar Branch Community, she was a daughter of Jim Tom and Hestaline Heird.
Mrs. Ard was reared and received her early education in the Cedar Branch Community. She married Ed Ard on October 29, 1934, in Doylestown, Arkansas. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
Mrs. Ard worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's sawmill and as a manager of the Ard's Grocery Store. Mrs. Ard was a member of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church for 53 years.
Mrs. Ard was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, one sister and one daughter, Maxine Vanlandingham.
Mrs. Ard is survived by four daughters; Shirley Worthen of Pine Bluff, Edalene Bearden of Pine Bluff, Marge Branch of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mary Jo Lites of Grapevine; one sister, Dorothy Bearden of Pine Bluff; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three caregivers, Willie Patrick, Francis Linley and Carolyn Harris.
The family will receive friends, 4 to 6 PM Friday, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
A Celebration of Miss Hazel's life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2004, at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend O. J. Ramick officiating. Burial will be private by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
The family ask that memorials be made to the Providence Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 10919 Lee Springs Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603.

Lee M. Forrest
August 07, 1922 - November 26, 2004

Lee M. Forrest, 82, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, November 26, 2004 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
Born August 7, 1922 in Pine Bluff, he was a son of the late James Walter Forrest and Eunice Smith Forrest. Mr. Forrest was reared and received his early education in Lincoln County. He served in the Army in World War II.
Lee Forrest married Marqueriete Waymack June 20, 1952 in Pine Bluff. She preceded him in death September 3, 1991.
Mr. Forrest worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad for 33 years as a plumber, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and the VFW.
Survivors include a son, Hardy Forrest of Kissimmee, Florida; sister, Bonnie Drain of Greley, California; granddaughter, Margaret Ann Forrest of Greenville, South Carolina; and caregiver, Letha Garey of Pine Bluff.
A graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Graceland Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.

Bobbie R. Coker
January 19, 1909 - January 03, 2002

Bobbie R. Coker, 92, of McAllen, Texas, died Thursday, January 3, 2001, at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.
Mrs. Coker was born January 19, 1909 in McGehee, Arkansas to the late R.H. Randles and Lola Fox Randles.
Mrs. Coker was reared and educated in McGehee, Arkansas where she graduated from McGehee High School as valedictortian of her class in 1926. She attended Henderson State Teachers College (now Henderson State University) in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics in 1930. She taught high school for a total of 32 years at Gurdon, Lake Village, Des Arc, and Pine Bluff School Districts. She lived in Pine Bluff until the age of 91, at which time she moved to McAllen, Texas, to be with her son and his wife.
She married Leon Coker in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She was a member of Pine Bluff First Methodist Church.
Her survivors include one son, Dr. Leon Randle Coker of McAllen, Texas, one daughter, Judith Coker Andrews of Dallas, Texas, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leon Coker, and a brother, John Wallace Randles.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 8, 2002, 1:30 P.M., Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Reverend Charles Settle will officiate the service.

Edward Woodrow ( Eddie ) Cox
September 28, 1920 - November 27, 2004

Eddie Cox, 84, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born September 28, 1920, in Panama City, Florida, he was a son of Elsie Enfinder.
Mr. Cox was reared and received his early education in Panama City, Florida. He was a United States Air Force veteran of World War ll. Mr. Cox was a prisoner of war during his military service. He married Pauline Virginia Carpenter on January 16, 1982 in Pine Bluff. He worked for the International Paper Company in Panama City until the plant closed. He then moved to Pine Bluff, in 1959, to work at International Paper Company in Pine Bluff. Mr. Cox was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Cox of Pine Bluff; one son, James McDermott of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Pauline Golden of Panama City, Florida, and Naomia Buchan of Tallahassee, Florida; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Reverend Harold Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at 12:00 Noon in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Sherwood. Full military honors will be provided by the Thaddeus H. Caraway Post 2278 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars from Hot Springs. The family will receive guests from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

James H. Clement
July 04, 1955 - November 29, 2004

James H. Clement, 49, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Monday, November 29, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Clement was born July 4, 1955, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to James E. Clement and the late Wilma Appling Clement. He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff. He graduated from high school in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mr. Clement had worked for International Paper Company for over 20 years before having to retire, due to poor health.
He was a Methodist.
His survivors include one son, Zachary Clement of Rison, Arkansas; one daughter, Lindsey Clement of Rison, Arkansas; his father, James E. Clement of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Mr. Clement was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Appling Clement, and one brother, Larry E. Clement.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson with Reverend Jim Brooks officiating. A private graveside will be held following the memorial service.
The family will be located at the home of his father, Mr. James E. Clement, 2204 West 42nd Avenue, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
