Ralph O. Barnett
October 16, 1920 - November 30, 2004

Ralph O. Barnett, 84, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Barnett was born October 16, 1920, in Lutcher, Louisiana, to the late John and Emma Adelia Rowan Barnett. He was reared and received his education in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he graduated from University High School in 1938. He attended Louisiana State University for three years. He joined the United States Army and served during WWII. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1965.
Mr. Barnett married Pauline Ross Kelley, on August 29, 1965, in Poteau, Oklahoma.
He was employed by Cotton Belt Railroad (now Union Pacific Railroad) for 17 years, retiring as a Carpenter's Foreman in November of 1985.
Mr. Barnett was a member of Olive Street Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, Post #4455, where he was a past commander and district commander.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Barnett of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; two daughters, Emily Rowan Milton of Natchez, Mississippi, and Anna Rose Davis of Jackson, Mississippi; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Douglas Allen Barnett of Morgantown, North Carolina.
Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, John Barnett, Jr.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Robinson's.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 2, 2004, at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Roger Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

Timmie Lee Castle
January 12, 1951 - November 30, 2004

Timmie Lee Castle, 53, of Mount Ida, died Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on January 12, 1951, a son of Mrs. Betty Ledbetter Castle Reed and the late Lee Castle.
He was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, where he attended Dollarway School.
He worked several years for Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel, as a deck hand on sand barges. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Ledbetter Castle Reed of Mount Ida.
Graveside services are 11:00 AM, Friday, December 3, 2004, in Graceland Cemetery with Reverend Jimmy Watson officiating. Arrangements handled by Ralph Robinson & Son.

William Chambers
January 01, 1951 - November 30, 2004

William "Ronnie" Chambers, 53, of White Hall, died Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on January 1, 1951, to Irene B. Bailey and the late William Morris Chambers.
He was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, where he graduated from Watson Chapel High School.
He had worked for Film Transit as a route driver, before becoming disabled.
Mr. Chambers was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church and enjoyed deer hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine Williams Chambers of White Hall, whom he married on December 29, 1973, in Pine Bluff; his mother, Irene B. Bailey of Pine Bluff; a brother, Randy Chambers of Pine Bluff; and a sister, Connie Chambers of Pine Bluff.
The family will receive friends, 5 to 7 PM, Thursday, at Ralph Robinson & Son.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Jerry Wayne Teague
June 20, 1944 - December 06, 2004

Jerry Wayne Teague, 60, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Monday, December 6, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born in Pine Bluff on June 20, 1944, he was a son of Herman and Helynn Sketoe Teague.
Mr. Teague was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff. He was a 1962 graduate of Watson Chapel High School. He attended college in California, earning a certificate as an electrician. Mr. Teague was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked in the laboratory of International Paper Company for 35 years. He married Anita Watson in Pine Bluff on November 6, 1985. He was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, the Quarter Century Club at International Paper Company and the Vice President of the United Paperworkers International Union. He was also past President of Eastern League Baseball.
Mr. Teague was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Travis Wade Teague.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Teague of Pine Bluff; his father, Herman Teague of Pine Bluff; one son, Byron Teague of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Sherry Lynn Stewart and Tammy Earnest of Pine Bluff; one brother, Herman Dale Teague of Pine Bluff and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 PM Thursday, December 9, 2004, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Howard Loetscher officiating. Burial will follow in Black Cemetery near Rison. The visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at Ralph Robinson & Son.
The family asks that memorials be made in memory of Mr. Teague to the Arkansas Arthritis Foundation, 1114 Jefferson St., P.O. Box 125, Little Rock, AR, 72203.

Claudie Thomas Hawthorne
March 23, 1922 - December 05, 2004

Claudie Thomas "C T" Hawthorne, age 82, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, December 5, 2004, at the Pine Bluff Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Hawthorne was born March 23, 1922, in Hempstead County, Arkansas, a son of the late William C. and Mary Elise Phillips Hawthorne.
Mr. Hawthorne was reared and received his education in Hempstead County.
He had worked in both the saw mill and the steel mill in Hope, Arkansas.
Mr. Hawthorne was a member of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by one son, Danny Hawthorne of Ruston, Louisiana.
Graveside services will be held in Graceland Cemetery, 1:30 P M, Friday, December 10, 2004, by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Hershel Lee Works
June 16, 1927 - December 11, 2004

Hershel Lee Works, 77, a resident of Sheridan, died Saturday, December 11, 2004, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.
Born June 16, 1927, in Dierks, he was a son of Arthur Leroy and Effie Maroney Works.
Mr. Works was reared and received his early education in Rison. He married Ann Hyde in Pine Bluff on March 11, 1950. He worked as a clamp truck driver for the International Paper Company for twenty-eight years. After retiring from International Paper Company he worked as a security guard for Tyson Foods for seven years. Mr. Works was a member of West Pine Bluff Church of God.
Mr. Works was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include; his wife, Ann Works of Sheridan; two daughters, Marilyn Parker of Woodlawn, Diane Works of Sheridan; two sons, Rickey Works of Pine Bluff, Ronnie Rogers of Benton; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 14, 2004, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Albert Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Rison. The visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2004, at Ralph Robinson & Son.

Ann Bush McBurnett
January 30, 1915 - December 12, 2004

Ann S. Bush McBurnett, age 89, of Pine Bluff, died at her home Sunday, December 12, 2004. She was born January 30, 1915, at Homer, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Nigel Eli Shivers and Elizabeth "Bessie" Wardlaw Shivers.
Mrs. McBurnett was reared and received her education in Marshall, Texas, where she graduated from Marshall High School.
She moved to Pine Bluff in 1936, when she married Mr. J. D. Bush. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Mrs. McBurnett was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff and was a devoted outreach leader for her sunday school class for many years.
She married Mr. J.Arness McBurnett on January 14, 1979, and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. McBurnett enjoyed crocheting. She crocheted one hundred and forty four lap robes for nursing home residents since becoming home bound.
Mrs. McBurnett was also preceded in death by one brother, Fletcher Shivers; four sisters, Hattie Tibbs, Roberta Fisher, Marguerite White and Shirley Cason.
She is survived by one son, Jim McBurnett of Pine Bluff; two grandsons and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 15, 2004, at 10:00 A M in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Gordon Topping officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P M.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 6501 South Hazel Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603.

Ernest Adam Hercher
October 29, 1922 - December 10, 2004

Ernest Adam Hercher, age 82, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, (formerly of Pine Bluff) died Friday, December 10, 2004, at his daughter's residence in Idaho Falls. Mr. Hercher was born October 29, 1922, in Pine Bluff, as son of the late Emil Maxmillian and Agnes Ruth Diemer Hercher.
Mr. Hercher was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. He was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School. He served in the U S Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. Hercher married Elizabeth Higman on September 6, 1944, and she preceded him in death on January 15, 1998.
He worked for many years as a sales representative for the Ritchie Grocery Company and later was an owner of the Davis Wholesale Company.
He was a lifelong resident of Pine Bluff until moving to Idaho Falls in April of 2003.
Mr. Hercher is survived by one daughter, Diane Key of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three sons, Ernest Hercher, Jr. of Pine Bluff, John Mark Hercher of Memphis, Tennessee and James Wade Hercher of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one brother, J. B. Hercher of Tulsa, Oklahoma and four granddaughters, Gretchen, Haley, Mariann, and Libby Hercher.
His children will miss him but celebrate his new life in presence of Jesus and his reunion with their mother, Elizabeth.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 16, 2004, at 10:00 A M in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend David King officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Robinson's Wednesday evening from 4 to 6 P M.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83401 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Post Office Box 100, Department 300, Memphis, Tennessee 38148.

Anne Brown Kamber
August 31, 1922 - December 13, 2004

Anne Brown Kamber, 82, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, December 13, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 31, 1922, a daughter of the late George V. and Lucie Lee Fisk Brown.
She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff where she graduated from Pine Bluff High School. She also received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Henderson University in Conway.
Mrs. Kamber retired from the Social Security Administration in Pine Bluff and the Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas, where she worked as a social service case worker.
She enjoyed helping other people and devoting her time in caring for the elderly.
Mrs. Kamber was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Randy and Charles Clayton.
Survivors include her husband, Charles S. Kamber, to whom she recently celebrated a Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary; two daughters, Lorie Brown of Maumelle, LeAnne Kamber of Virginia; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services are 1:30 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2004, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend David King officiating.
Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
The family ask that memorials be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 6300 Trinity Drive, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71603.
