EL DORADO, Ark. - Donna Faye Whatley, 49, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, April 2, 2004, at her home.
Mrs. Whatley was born Nov. 21, 1954, in Stuttgart, Ark. She was a medical clerk.
Survivors include one daughter, Kelly Hargett of El Dorado; three brothers, Carroll Sanders of Lake Village, Ark., Ronnie Sanders of Florida and Graylon Sanders of Dewitt, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at West Side Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Eklund officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in Forks Lagrue Cemetery, Dewitt, under direction of Youngs Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at the Hargett home, 400 Big Pond Road, El Dorado.

Leslie H. Jones, 87, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in a local hospital.

CHARLES CHESSHIR
NASHVILLE, Ark. - Charles William Chesshir, 95, of Taylor, Ark., formerly of Nashville died Monday, April 5, 2004, in Springhill, La.
Mr. Chesshir was born March 31, 1909, in Hollis, Okla. He was a hardware salesman and a member of Blue Bayou Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Leta Chesshir.
Survivors include one son, Charles D. Chesshir of Taylor; one daughter, Eva Jean White of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one brother, J.D. Chesshir of Searcy, Ark.; three sisters, Betty Lou Pack of Athens, Ala., and Ruth Bearden and Lena Hall of Charleston, Ark.; five grandchildren; and 10 great - grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery.

Gloria Dean Bishop Martin, 57, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, April 5, 2004, in an Atlanta, Texas, hospital.
Mrs. Martin was born June 3, 1946, in Texarkana, Texas. She was a member of Evangelist Temple COGIC.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Martin Jr. of Texarkana; two sons, Daniel LaCharles Martin and Darrell "DeWayne" Martin of Texarkana; two daughters, LaRonda Mashell Wilkerson of Shreveport, La., and Alicia Alundrea Danyell Martin of Texarkana; 13 sisters, Betty Sims, Joycelyn Walker and LaCenia Clark of Dallas, JoAnne White, Erma Fay Bishop, Kathryn Wyatt, Donna Walker, Marie Walker, Flechia Robinson, Tamar Williams and LaRonda Ross of Texarkana, and Martha L. Dunn and Juanita Bennett of California; seven brothers, Samuel Walker, Don D. Walker, Norris Williams, Morris Williams, Percy Williams, Benny Sullivan and Rodrigo Ross of Texarkana; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lonoke Baptist Church with Sarah Deadner officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Moore's Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
JOHN MALCOMB JR.
HOPE, Ark. - John Allen Malcomb Jr., 80, of Fulton, Ark., died Monday, April 5, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Malcomb was born Nov. 23, 1923, in Winthrop, Ark. He was the retired chief of the Fulton Fire Department, a member of Union Baptist Church, a Mason and an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Smith Malcomb of Fulton; two sons, Bill Malcomb and James Malcomb of Mesquite, Texas; one brother, H.L. Malcomb of McKinney, Texas; one sister, Lola Fay Palmer of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great - grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Burial will be under direction of Herndon Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Leslie H. Jones, 87, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Jones was born June 28, 1916, in Grannis, Ark. He was retired from Oklahoma Tire and Supply and Timberlake Hardware and a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Jones of Texarkana; one daughter and son - in - law, Janice and Kenneth Rose of Houston; and two grandsons, John Hampton Rose of Austin and Michael Leslie Rose of Houston.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at East Funeral Home, Downtown, Memorial Chapel with Marvin Brown and the Rev. Dr. Bill Steeger officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

Elizabeth P. Bailey, 72, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Bailey was born May 4, 1931, in Arcadia, La. She was a nurse's aide.
Survivors include 10 sons, Charles E. Harris of Glendale, Ariz., Danny Bailey of Dallas, James Lamar Bailey, Luster James Bailey, the Rev. King Edward Bailey and Nelson Jerome Bailey of Texarkana, Roy Lee Bailey of Pine Bluff, Ark., David Lee Bailey of Pensacola, Fla., Larry Bailey of Nashville, Ark., and Darry Bailey of Oklahoma City; six daughters, Mary Brown and Emma Jean Gillian of Shreveport, Elaine Moody of El Dorado, Ark., Elder Marie Bailey of Texarkana, Sadie Bailey of Milwaukee and Christin Bailey of Kaiserslautern, Germany; two brothers, Benny Pierce of El Dorado and Allen Pierce; and two sisters, Ruth Pierce of El Dorado and Mary Martin of Los Angeles.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Richardson Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Reid Sr. and Elder Marie Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Jeffery Lynn Gaines, 30, of Ogden, Ark., died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Gaines was born Oct. 26, 1973, in Ashdown, Ark. He was a mechanic and a member of Laura Bell Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Nicole Gaines of Texarkana and Martika Garfield and Jaleea Garfield of Ashdown; his parents, George Gaines of Ogden and Elvessie Curry of Forest, Miss.; one brother, Denison Gaines of Ogden; two sisters, Daphane Austin of Jackson, Miss., and Amanda Thaxton of Decatur, Ill.; and his fiance, Christina Splawn of Texarkana.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Laura Bell Baptist Church, Ogden, with the Rev. C.B. Lampkins officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Cemetery, Ogden, under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

ASHDOWN, Ark. - Tony Lamon Smith, 40, of Luther, Okla., died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, in a Purcell, Okla., hospital.
Mr. Smith was born Dec. 9, 1963, in Fort Hood, Texas. He was a former employee of United Parcel Service and a counselor with the Oklahoma State Department of Corrections.
Survivors include his wife, Donna R. Smith of Luther; two sons, Al'Jon Smith and Alexander Smith of Luther; his mother, Ruby Smith of Haworth, Okla.; three brothers, Lt. Col. Mickie Smith of Saudi Arabia, Lt. Col. Rickie Smith of Oklahoma City and Lt. Randy Smith of Kokomo, Ind.; two sisters, Debbie Smith and Jackie Smith Baker of Houston; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services were April 7 in Oklahoma City under direction of Temple & Sons Funeral Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthews Baptist Church, Foreman, Ark., with the Rev. Emmitt Elbert officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Tom, Okla., under direction of Hamburg Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
