Mary R Morgan
April 10, 1915 - March 06, 2002

Mary R. Morgan, 86, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday at Jefferson Regional Medical
Center in Pine Bluff. She was born April 10, 1915, in St. Francis, Arkansas, a daughter of the late William S. and Vivian DeJarnette Buckley. Mrs. Morgan was reared at St. Francis, Arkansas and attended school there and in Campbell, Missouri, graduating from Campbell High School. She then attended Arkansas State Teachers College, (now Arkansas State University), in Jonesboro, Arkansas for one year.
Mrs. Morgan moved to Pine Bluff in 1953 and had been a resident since that time.
She was a Homemaker and a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn A. Morgan, whom she married on September 28, 1935, at Campbell, Missouri.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by one daughter, Beverly Greer of Pine Bluff; two sons, Glenn F. Morgan of McGehee and Bill Morgan of Little Rock; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2002, Graveside at Bellwood Cemetery, with the Reverend Jim Freeman officiating
Arrangements are by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors of Pine Bluff.

Thelma P. Howard
June 18, 1922 - March 07, 2002

Thelma P. Howard, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2002 at Arkansas Heart Hospital, Little Rock.
Thelma was born June 18, 1922, in Taylorsville, Mississippi a daughter of Mart and Annie Goldman Robinson. She was reared in Mississippi and received her early education in Mississippi. In 1940, Mrs. Howard moved to Mobile, Alabama, where she worked for Melvin's Bakery. During the Christmas season of 1950, Thelma moved to Pine Bluff. Mrs. Howard married Ernest E. Howard on February 24, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1973.
She was preceded by her parents, two (2) brothers and five (5) sisters.
Mrs. Howard is survived by two (2) sons, Clay and Charles Howard both of Pine Bluff; two (2) daughters, Ms. Kathy Hilborn of Terrell, Texas and Ms. Linda Howard of Dallas, Texas; two (2) grandchildren and three (3) great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2002, at 11:30 a.m., at Graceland Cemetery, Pine Bluff, with the Reverend Phyllis Fuller, pastor of the Oak Park Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home.

Forrest Glenn Todd
February 24, 1906 - March 07, 2002

Forrest Glenn Todd, 96, of Pine Bluff died Thursday, at Trinity Village Medical Center.
He was born February 24, 1906 in Montezuma, Indiana, to Rayborn Todd and Minta Todd. He was reared and received his early education in Rogers, Arkansas.
Mr. Todd was a building contractor and a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rayborn Todd and Minta Todd Hartman, a daughter, JoAnn Todd, a brother, Claude Todd and a sister, Irene Webkes.
He is survived by his wife, Effie Wingard Todd,who he married in February of 1927 in Little Rock, a son, Richard Todd of Pensacola, Florida, two daughters, Betty Allbritton of Pine Bluff and Linda Sue Todd of Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Monday, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, with Reverend Lyle Hern officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Cemetery. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Volunteer Council of the Arkadelphia Human Development Center, P. O. Box 70, Arkadelphia, Arkansas 71923.

Macie Lancaster
July 25, 1917 - March 08, 2002

Macie Lancaster, 84, of Pine Bluff, widow of James Lloyd Lancaster died March 8, 2002 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 25, 1917 in Lincoln County to Jim and Lena White Phillips.
She owned and operated Gay Paree Beauty College and later Macie's Beauty College.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors are one son, Jim Lancaster of Pine Bluff, two daughters, Linda Holland of Pine Bluff and Brenda Conner of Rison, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, at Butler Cemetery, near Star City, with Reverend Dennis Owens officiating. Burial will be by Ralph Robinson and Son.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's, Sunday, 2-4 P.M.

Silas William Bradshaw
December 21, 1907 - March 08, 2002

Silas William Bradshaw, 94, of Pine Bluff died Friday, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born December 21, 1907 in Buckholts, Texas, and was reared and received his early education in Gilmer, Texas, where he graduated from high school. He went to Byrnes Business College in Dallas, Texas.
Mr.Bradshaw worked for many years for Freeport Sulphur Company and Dow Chemical Company, in Texas, then he worked for Bennett Paint and Glass Supply in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he retired in 1973. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1992.
He was a lifelong and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he held many leadership positions.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Ruth Moody Hankins Bradshaw, who he married February 14, 1929 in Dallas, Texas, two daughters, Joanne (Jerald-deceased) Jackson of Pine Bluff, Jacqueline (Dean) Mendenhall of Lafayette, California, a brother, Gaylon Bradshaw of Salt Lake City, Utah, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mr. Bradshaw was preceded in death by his father, Thomas James Bradshaw, mother, Maude Lindsey Bradshaw, step-mother, Ethel Leotha Bradshaw, son-in-law, four brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Mark Henscheid officiating.
Graveside services will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Kelsey Cemetery in Gilmer, Texas, with Mr. Dean Mendenhall officiating. Burial will be by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's, Tuesday, 6-8 P.M.

Theda J. Partridge
July 22, 1920 - March 10, 2002

Theda J. Partridge, age 81, of Pine Bluff, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2002, at Jefferson Memorial Medical Center.
Theda was born on July 22, 1920, in Atkins, Arkansas, the daughter of Floyd and Mossie Fletcher Pitts. She was reared in Atkins, prior to the family moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Mrs. Partridge graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1938. Theda married J.E. "Bud" Partridge on July 5, 1941 in Atkins. In 1953, they moved to Pine Bluff, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, for VFW Post # 4455.
Mrs. Partridge is survived by her husband, of sixty years, Bud; one son, Larry "Eddie" Partridge of Pine Bluff; two (2) grandchildren and four (4) great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, March 12, from 6:000 - 8:00 p.m. at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home.

Frank Joseph Cook, Jr.
April 04, 1901 - October 04, 2001

Frank Joseph Cook, Jr., 100, of Hewitt, Texas, died Thursday at the Royal Manor Nursing Home in Hewitt. He was born April 4, 1901, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of the late Frank Joseph Cook, Sr. and Cora Belle Dickie Cook. He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff.
He was a machinist welder for the Cotton Belt Railroad and a member of the team that built the 800 series locomotives from the frame up at the Cotton Belt Shop in Pine Bluff. He retired in 1975, after 35 years of service. He had been a resident of Pine Bluff for 95 years, before moving to Waco, Texas in 1997. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff
Mr. Cook was married to the former Lucille Owens on November 26, 1933, and she preceded him in death on February 8, 1987. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Leonard, Charlie, Leo and John Ed and one sister, Cora Smith.
Mr. Cook is survived by one son, Charles E. Cook and wife, Dodie of Waco, Texas; one sister, Mildred Scott of Pine Bluff, three grandchildren, Frank King Cook of Ft Worth, Texas, David Lamar Cook of San Antonio, Texas and Dan Pat Cook of Arlington, Texas and five great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will at 4:00 P M, Saturday, 10/6/2001, at the chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Dr. David L. Cook officiating. Burial will be private.
Memorial may take the form of contributions to the Arkansas Railroad Museum, 1700 Port Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71601 or to the charity of the Donor's choice

Dorothy Lee Leirer
November 17, 1914 - March 14, 2002

Dorothy Lee Leirer, age 87, of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Pine Bluff, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2002, at the Heritage Park Nursing Center.
Mrs. Leirer was born on November 17, 1914, in Humphreys, Missouri, a daughter of Frank and Mildred West Moberly. Dorothy was reared in Humphreys and graduated from Humphreys High School. She married O.L. Leirer in August 7, 1932 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1988. The Leirer's moved to Pine Bluff in 1936. She owned and operated Dorothy' s Beauty Shoppe in Pine Bluff.
Dorothy is survived by two (2) sons, Shelly G.(Sally) Leirer of Greenwood, Arkansas, and Noel Leirer of Rogers; three (3) grandchildren and four (4) great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two (2) infant children, one (1) brother, one (1) sister, one (1) great grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors, Pine Bluff. Raymond Glendinning, pastor of the Hazel Street Church of Christ, will be officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, March 18, 2002, from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pine Bluff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association or the Hazel Street Church of Christ.

Carole Jeanett Seamans
March 28, 1961 - March 16, 2002

Carole J. Seamans, 40, of Pine Bluff died Saturday, March 16, 2002 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 28, 1961 in Rison, Arkansas to Wanda Harvill Broach DeVaney and the late Cecil Broach.
Mrs. Seamans was reared in Pine Bluff and attended Dollarway High School. She married Rickey Wayne Seamans in 1994 in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Seamans was a loving wife, mother and a homemaker. She served as a Home Room Mother at her children's school. She was a member of Pine Grove Bible Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, Cecil Broach.
Survivors include her husband, Rickey Seamans of Pine Bluff; son, Allen Bellamy, IIII; step son, Richard Seamans; daughter, Somer Brea Seamans all of Pine Bluff; mother and step father, Wanda Broach and Jay DeVaney of Pine Bluff; three brothers, Bill Broach of Pine Bluff, Bobby Broach of Pine Bluff and Tommy Broach of Grapevine; and a sister, Judy Phillips of Pine Bluff.
The family will be at the residence of Wanda and Jay DeVaney, 611 South Dakota Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Monday 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son. Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2002 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson's with Reverend Rickey Broach officating. Burial will be in Broach Cemetery near Kingsland, Arkansas.
