Linda Griffey Romine
September 26, 1942 - May 05, 2002

Linda Griffey Romine, 59, of Pine Bluff died Sunday, at her home. She was born September 26, 1942 to Herman and Wava Barfield Griffey in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Mrs. Romine was reared and educated in Pine Bluff where she graduated from Pine Bluff High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Romine enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Wednesday Morning Coffee Cup Bowling League; Thursday Classic Ladies Bowling League and the 600 Club.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Griffey.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Romine of Pine Bluff; sons, Mark Romine of Coleman, Texas; Ross Romine of Pine Bluff; Jimmy Romine, Jr. of Pine Bluff; parents, Herman and Wava Barfield Griffey of Pine Bluff; brother, Dr. Mike Griffey of Fayetteville; four grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson's.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 8, 2002 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Lyle Hern officiating. Burial will be in Mulberry Cemetery, England, Arkansas.

Rubylee Helen Stipp
February 27, 1920 - May 04, 2002

Rubylee Stipp, 82, of Watson Chapel, died Saturday, May 4, 2002, in Avon, Indiana.
Mrs. Stipp was born February 27, 1920 in Texarkana, Texas to the late William Allen Smith and Celeste Harris Collom Smith. She was reared and educated in Texarkana, Texas. She married Mr. B. Mitchell Stipp on August 8, 1936 in Texarkana, Texas. They moved to Pine Bluff in 1945. Mrs. Stipp was a homemaker and a self-employed seamstress and custom draper. She was a charter member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church where she was actively involved in the Evergreens. She was also a lifetime member of the Watson Chapel Garden Club and a past president of the Watson Chapel P.T.A. Her Survivors include a son, B. Mitchell Stipp, Jr. of Avon, Indiana, two daughters, Celeste Ann Payton of Redmond, Oregon, Viva Jo Smith of Tillamook, Oregon, one brother, Harris Smith of Texarkana, Texas, 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Mr. B. Mitchell Stipp who passed away March 22, 1997, a daughter, Lee Alice Carnal, two brothers, two sisters.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 P.M. at Robinson's.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 11, 2002, 1:00 P.M., at Watson Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend M. L. Faler officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family has requested that memorials take the form of contributions to Watson Chapel Baptist Church, 5514 Pinnacle Lane, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603.

Ebi E. Luzietti
November 22, 1914 - May 09, 2002

Ebi E. Luzietti, 87, of 610 Barrow Drive in Pine Bluff died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born November 22, 1914, in the New Gascony Community of Jefferson County, the daughter of the late Andrew and Maria Mancini Spadoni. Mrs. Luzietti was reared in the New Gascony Community and attended various Jefferson County area schools. Mrs. Luzietti married Victor Luzietti in Pine Bluff in May of 1979. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and worked several years at the St. Joseph Catholic Church annual spaghetti supper.
Mrs. Luzietti was preceeded in death by her parents; a husband, Mr. Wendall Atchison; a son, Terry Atchison; 3 brothers, Joe, Bruno, and Julio Spadoni; and 4 sisters, an infant - Ebi Spadoni, Citta Davis, Alpina Eastwood Lyons, and Mrs. Victor Dallari. She is survived by her husband, Victor Luzietti of Pine Bluff; 2 sisters, Bruna Hobbs and Mary Raley, both of Pine Bluff; and 4 grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, May 13, 2002, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bernie Keller officiating, under the direction of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, May 12, 2002, at Ralph Robinson and Son with a Vigil Service to follow at 5:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund. The family will be at the home of Joe Spadoni, 1102 Nancy in White Hall.

Barbara Jean O'Glee Loyd
August 19, 1930 - May 09, 2002

Barbara O'Glee Loyd, 71, of 2205 Pine Hill Drive, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Loyd was born August 19, 1930 at Walker's Creek, Arkansas to the late William Harrison and Myrtis Tyler O'Glee. She was also reared and educated at Walker's Creek, graduating from high school there in 1947. She began teaching school in Lake Village, Arkansas in 1947 and retired as an 8th grade English teacher from Dial Junior High School in Pine Bluff in 1982. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She married Weaver Loyd on October 14, 1950 in Lake Village, Arkansas. They moved to Pine Bluff in 1961. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was active in book clubs, bridge clubs, and a women's investment club.
Her survivors include one son, Stephen O'Glee Loyd, M.D. of Boulder Colorado, one daughter, Jane Ann Loyd Harris of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, one brother, William Guice O'Glee of Denison, Texas, one sister, Mary O'Glee Hood of Charlotte, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Weaver Loyd.
The family will receive friends at Lakeside United Methodist Church an hour prior to service time. The funeral service will be Saturday, May 11, 2002, at 4:00 PM, at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Reverends Mary Susan Hilliard and Ted DeWeese officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
The family has requested that memorials be made to Lakeside United Methodist Church, 1500 Olive Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71601.

Marion A. Segars, Sr.
October 19, 1933 - May 10, 2002

Marion A. "Pee Wee" Segars, Sr., 68, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born October 19, 1933 to Dock T. and Nellie Price Segars in Pine Bluff.
Pee Wee was reared and educated in Pine Bluff where he attended Pine Bluff School. He worked as a Crop Duster Pilot, an officer for the Pine Bluff Police Department and as a Commercial Truck driver.
Pee Wee was a Lutheran by faith and a member of the VFW. He enjoyed flying, truck driving and loved good music.
Pee Wee is preceded in death by his parents Dock T. and Nellie Price Segars; wives, Florence E. Segars, Helen Thompson; a son, Jack Henry Segars; brothers, Thomas E. Segars, James W. "Buddy" Segars, Jack A. Segars and a granddaughter, Stephanie Bailey.
Survivors include a former wife, Pat Webb of Little Rock; sons, Danny R. Webb of Little Rock, Larry Segars of De Witt, Marion A. "Butch" Segars, Jr. of White Hall, Lester O. "Butch" Bailey of Anamosa, Iowa, Michael "Mike" Bailey of Walker, Iowa; daughters, Barbara Tucker of White Hall, Julie K. Brown of Forney, Texas; brother, John Edward Segars of Pine Bluff; sisters, Irene S. Watson of Pine Bluff, Alice S. Paff of White Hall; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 15, 2002 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Jimmy Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

Betty Jean Rodgers
April 06, 1931 - May 14, 2002

Betty Jean Rodgers, age 71, passed away Tuesday morning, at the Arkansas Convalescent Center in Pine Bluff.
Betty was born April 6, 1931, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, a daughter of Thomas and Julia Bunch Dalrymple. She was reared in Calico Rock and graduated with the high school class of 1949.. She was married to William Rodgers on April 30, 1949, in Calico Rock. She later married Barton Elmore. Betty worked for the State of Arkansas Department of Revenue and Pines Vo-Tech School for several years. Mrs. Rodgers was a member of the Good Faith United Methodist Church and the Good Faith United Methodist Womens Circle.
Mrs. Rodgers is survived by two (2) daughters, Phyllis ( Roland) Smith of Crossville, Tennessee and Linda (Stephen) Monk of Pine Bluff; one sister, Ruth Jeffery of Eudora, Kansas; one brother, Howard Dalrymple of Searcy, Arkansas; and three (3) grandchildren, Mollie Busler, Will Smith and Callie Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two (2) sisters.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, May 16, 2002, at 2:00 pm at
Good Faith Cemetery, Pine Bluff. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2002 at Ralph Robinson and Son, from 6-8 pm.
The family will receive friends at 7049 La Jolla Drive, Pine Bluff.

Gloria Farrell Tribble
December 10, 1921 - May 10, 2002

Gloria Farrell Tribble, 80, of Sandy, Utah, (formerly of Grady, Arkansas) died Friday, May 10, 2002, at the Wasatch Valley Rehabilitation Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mrs. Tribble was born December 10, 1921, in Plum Bayou, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Phillip and Mollie Sanderlin Farrell.
She grew up during depression times on various farms in Southeast Arkansas and lost a beloved brother in 1935. After graduating from Pine Bluff High School, she attended Pine Bluff Business College. She then began working for Production Credit Association, a time she spoke of fondly. She met her husband while he was stationed as a Flight Instructor at Grider Field in Pine Bluff during World War II. She spent much of the war years with her parents on the Pinchback Plantation.
She and Stuart resided in Grady for many years, running the Texaco station and Grocery on Highway 65 where friends were always welcome and the coffee pot was always on. Their lives revolved around the Grady United Methodist Church, where she was a member, the schools, the Lions Club, the Annual Fish Fry and their many friends.
According to her family, Mrs. Tribble will be remembered for her cooking skills, spotless home, lovely needlepoint and her service and generosity to friends and family. Most memorable was the loving care she gave to her invalid mother for twenty years in her home. She deserves the rest she can now claim.
She is survived by her husband, George Stuart Tribble; daughter, Mollie Lyle; granddaughter, Sara Lyle and great-grandson, Evan Stuart Lyle, all of Sandy, Utah; and granddaughter, Susan Lyle of Richardson, Texas.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 17, 2002, at 10:00 AM, at Grady United Methodist Church in Grady, Arkansas with the Reverend David Ashcroft officiating with interment in Graceland Cemetery in Pine Bluff by Ralph Robinson & Son of Pine Bluff.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's from 6 to 8 PM Thursday evening.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Grady United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 267, Grady, Arkansas 71644.

Dorothy Jean Myhand
May 25, 1927 - May 15, 2002

Dorothy Jean Myhand, age 74, passed away late Wednesday evening at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Dorothy was born May 25, 1927, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Leon and Ruth Edwards Moran. She married Alvin R. Myhand on December 30, 1953, in Greenville, Mississippi.
Mrs. Myhand attended school in Watson Chapel. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Myhand is survived by her husband of 48 years, Alvin, two sons, David of Pine Bluff, and Mike of Heber Springs; two daughters, Lynn Hendrix of Dallas, Texas and Mary Ann Keller of Ft. Worth, Texas. She is predeceased by her parents, a brother, Bobby Moran and a sister, Pat Moran.
Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 18, 2002 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

James Travis ( Cosmo ) Hendricks
August 22, 1922 - May 18, 2002

Travis "Cosmo" Hendricks, age 79, of Pine Bluff, died at St Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Saturday while on a camping trip with his family. Mr. Hendricks was born August 16, 1922, in Spotsville, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Oscar Henry Hendricks and Hattie Ainsworth Hendricks.
Mr. Hendricks was reared and received his early education in Lawson, attending the Lawson schools.
He worked as a Pipe Fitter for 50 years and was a member and past President of the Pipe Fitter's Union Local #155. He was also a member of the Strong Masonic Lodge # 591 F.&A.M. in Strong, Arkansas and he was also a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Valley of Little Rock Scottish Rite Consistory and a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. He enjoyed coaching girls softball when his children were young. He attended the First United Pentecostal Church in Pine Bluff.
Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Gladys Faye Bloom and three brothers.
Mr. Hendricks is survived by his wife, Marilane McMillan Hendricks, whom he married September 28, 1987, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas; one daughter, Carol Ann McGrew of Pine Bluff; two sons, James Travis Hendricks, Jr of Marshall, Arkansas, David Wayne Hendricks of Pine Bluff; two step sons, John Christopher Westbrook of Harrisonburg. Louisiana and Michael W. Westbrook of West Monroe, Louisiana; one sister, Lynnell Freeman of Las Vagas, Nevada; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM. Tuesday, May 21, 2002, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, with the Reverend A. D. Hill officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Robinson's from 6 to 8 PM Monday evening.
