Charles Everett Austin
January 06, 1935 - September 05, 2003

Charles Everett Austin, age 68, of Pine Bluff, died at his home Friday morning. Mr. Austin was born January 6, 1935, in Kedron, Arkansas, a son of the late Elmer Lee and Ora Sylinda Harden Austin.
Mr. Austin was reared and received his education in Woodlawn, graduating from Woodlawn High School. While still in high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy Reserves and was later called to active duty in 1957. He began working for the Cotton Belt Railroad in 1956 and retired with 41 years of service.
Mr. Austin was a member of Olive Street Missionary Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and a member of the Choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lee Austin; three brothers, Hulon, Calvin and Maxie Austin and one sister, Gladys Austin Wingard.
Mr. Austin is survived by his wife, Margaret Nell Small Austin, whom he married August 19th, 1955, in Calmer, Arkansas; two sons, Charles Anthony "Tony" Austin of Jonesboro and Chris Everett Austin of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Carla Rae Hill of Woodlawn; one brother, William "Buddy" Austin of Buffalo, Missouri; three sisters, Virginia Dell Davis of San Diego, California, Shirley Minton Harrison of Pine Bluff and Ruth Githens of Knoxville, Tennessee and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 8th, 2003, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Roger Stewart and Reverend Danny Austin officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's from 2 to 4 PM Sunday.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Olive Street Missionary Baptist Church,1923 Olive Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71601 or to Hospice Care Services, 3801 Camden Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603.

Sue Hudson Fakouri
December 28, 1919 - November 25, 2001

Sue Hudson Fakouri, 81, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 25, 2001, at Drew County Hospital in Monticello. Born December 28, 1919, in Dallas County, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late William and Abby Easterling Hudson. Mrs. Fakouri was reared and received her early education in Dallas County. She was a graduate of Fordyce High School and of Arkansas A&M College (now the University of Arkansas at Monticello). She married Wadie G. Fakouri, Sr., in Pine Bluff on June 20, 1947. Mr. Fakouri died May 16, 1989. A long-time resident of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Fakouri was a homemaker and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include Tony Fakouri of Little Rock, Duke Fakouri and Joe Fakouri of Monticello, and Jay Fakouri of Pine Bluff, sons; Raymond Hudson of Fordyce, brother; four grandchildren; one great-grandson.
The family will receive friends at Ralph Robinson & Son Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM in Graceland Cemetery with Reverend Robert Torres officiating. The family requests memorials be made to Seabrook YMCA, 6808 Hazel, Pine Bluff, AR 71603, or to Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation, 800 Marshall, Little Rock, AR 72203.

Georgia Adell Huntley Dalby
February 22, 1916 - September 12, 2003

Georgia Adell Huntley Dalby, age 87, of Conway, Arkansas, formerly of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, September 12, 2003, at the Trillium Retirement Center in Conway.
Ms. Georgia was born February 22, 1916, a daughter of P. G. and Ada Taylor Huntley in Pine Bluff. She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff and graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1934. She married Stacy Edward Dalby on April 4, 1937 in Pine Bluff. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1995. Mrs. Dalby worked for Franks Shoe Store for 30 years prior to retirement. After retiring she worked for the National Bank of Commerce ( now the Bank of America) as a teller and in the bookeeping department for an additional 10 years. Ms. Georgia was an active member in the Horizon 60 Club at National Bank of Commerce and the First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed working with the Sunday School Department. When not at church or at the bank, she enjoyed gardening and doing needlepoint.
Mrs. Dalby is survived by one sister, Margaret Huntley Belcher of Troy, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Walter Huntley, P.G. Huntley, Jr. ; one sister, Dorothy Huntley Bradford.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2003, at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors with the Reverend Gordon Topping officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening 5:00 - 7:00 PM. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Bellwood Cemetery, Pine Bluff.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: First Baptist Church, 6501 Hazel Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603, The American Heart Association, 909 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 or the charity of your choice.

Dan Culpepper
September 13, 1935 - September 17, 2003

Dan Culpepper, 68, of Bryant, Arkansas, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003, at his home.
Mr. Culpepper was born September 13, 1935 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late James Morgan and Fannie V. Monk Culpepper. He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff where he graduated from Dollarway High School. He joined the United States Army and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a sargeant in the U.S. Army and retired after 22 years of service. He was employed by the Goverment Services Administration in maintanence at Pine Bluff. He married Ms. Linda Tice on November 29, 1977 in Memphis, Tennessee. They moved to Bryant in 1984.
He was a member of Broadmoor Missionary Baptist Church. He was a also a member of the Veteran of Foriegn Wars in Benton.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda Tice Culpepper of Bryant; two sons, Andy Culpepper of Fayetteville, Troy Culpepper of Puyallup, Washington; two daughters, Melinda Martonik of Marysville, Washington, Laura Carol Bianco of Las Vegas, Nevada; three brothers, James M. Culpepper, Jr. of Tyler, Texas, Allen Culpepper of Lincoln, California, Robert E. (Bobby) Culpepper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Colleen Stuckey of Redwood City, California, Kay Rhodes of Sheridan, Arkansas, Linda Bridges of Rison, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; a special neice, Wanda Wessels of White Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dan M. Culpepper, Jr., and a sister, Mary Frances Medlin Vancleave.
Funeral Services will be Friday, September 19, 2003, 2:00 PM, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with the Reverend Chad West officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will be located at the home of Lloyd and Wanda Wessels, 804 Van Street, White Hall, Arkansas.

Larry Don Adams
July 13, 1947 - September 22, 2003

Larry Don Adams, age 56, of Pine Bluff, passed away late Monday afternoon, September 22, 2003, at Southwestern Regional Medical Center, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Larry was born July 13, 1947, in Sherrill, Arkansas, a son of the late Edgar and Rutha Ellen Fitch Adams. Larry and his family moved to the Pine Bluff area in 1959. Larry has most recently been a resident and in training at the Alexander Human Development Center. Mr. Adams was an avid Razorback fan and loved music.
Mr. Adams is survived by three sisters, Shirley Prince of Mabelvale, Arkansas, Carol Bullock of Shreveport, Louisiana and Sarah Horton of Pine Bluff; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning, September 25, 2003, at 10:00 AM, at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, 807 Cherry Street, with Mike Holcomb officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, at the funeral home, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pine Bluff.

Grace Faulk Powell
October 19, 1913 - November 25, 2001

Grace Faulk Powell, 88, of Pine Bluff died Sunday November 25, 2001 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Born October 19, 1913 in Wesson, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Thomas N. Faulk and Edna Welch Faulk.
She was reared and educated at Sheridan and Rison. She served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps. She was also employed as a Tax Auditor for the IRS.
Mrs. Powell lived her adult life in Memphis. She moved to Pine Bluff in 1999.
She was a member of Raleigh Baptist Church in Memphis . She also attended Highland Heights Baptist Church in Memphis, Central Presbyterian Church in Pine Bluff, and First Presbyterian Church in Pine Bluff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Larry Powell, who she married February 9, 1957, one sister, Mary F. Penix, and a brother-in-law, Charles Penix.
She is survived by her niece, Mary Ann Penix of Pine Bluff, and many other nieces and nephews.
Services are 1:00 PM Tuesday November 27, 2001 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with David Allen officiating. Private commital will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 PM at Robinson's.

Janice Ruth Nicks Green
March 20, 1926 - November 24, 2001

Janice Ruth Nicks Green, 75, formally of Pine Bluff, died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville, Arkansas. She was born March 20, 1926 in the Swan Lake Community to the late Quinton Doak and Sarah Esther Bethel Nicks.
Mrs. Green was reared and educated in Jefferson County where she attended school. She married Veo Edwin Green on March 29, 1941, at her mothers home in Sulphur Springs.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She was a member of Pine Bluff Christian Church and Oakland Hights Assembly of God in Russellville.
Mrs. Green is survived by her sons; Timothy Edwin Green of Russellville, Michael Vincent Green of El Dorado, a daughter; Judith Ann Green Sutton of Sherwood, brothers; Dan W. Nicks of Devine, Texas, Bruce Nicks of Rison, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild .
The family will receive friends Tuesday 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson's. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 28, 2001 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Roy Chisum officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery at Grapevine.

Sally Marie Bolton McLaughlin
October 25, 1922 - November 25, 2001

Sally Marie Bolton McLaughlin, 79, of Pine Bluff, died at her home Sunday, November 25, 2001. She was born October 25, 1922, in Oak Grove, Louisiana, a daughter of the late John Bolton and Lillie Archer McLaughlin. She was reared and received her education in Forest, Louisiana.
She moved to Pine Bluff in 1961. She began attending Macie's Beauty College in 1962 and graduated in 1964. She opened her own shop later that year in her home. In the early 70's, she became an instructor at the college. In the late 70's, she became a substitute school teacher at the First Ward Elementary School in Pine Bluff. She retired in the early 1980's. In 1989, she moved to Bastrop, Louisiana and in 1992, she returned to Pine Bluff.
Mrs. McLaughlin is survived by her husband, Dale McLaughlin; one son Laryy Don McLaughlin of North Little Rock; two sisters, Eva McGahay and Ida Dumas, both of Bastrop, Louisiana and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McLaughlin was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Forest, Louisiana and also a member of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post #4455 in Pine Bluff
Funeral service will be Tuesday evening, November 27, 2001, at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Reverend Travis Smith officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 28, 2001, at 12:00 Noon in Red Wing Cemetery in Oak Grove, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at Robinson's from 5:00 PM until servicetime.
Memorial may take the form of contributions to Jefferson Regional Hospice, 1515 West 42nd Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71603.

Robert W. ( Billy ) Cannon, Jr.
December 31, 1953 - October 24, 2003

Robert W. "Billy" Cannon, Jr., 49, of Pine Bluff died Friday, October 24, 2003 at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, John L. McClellan Memorial Hospital in Little Rock. He was born December 31, 1953 in Pine Bluff to Robert W. Cannon, Sr. and Frances Imogene Church Cannon.
Mr. Cannon was reared and educated in Pine Bluff where, he attended Dollarway High School.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Cannon was a retired Ironworker.
He was a Baptist.
Mr. Cannon is survived by his parents, Robert W. Cannon, Sr. and Frances Imogene Church Cannon of Pine Bluff; brothers, Mark W. Cannon of White Hall, Mike D. Cannon of White Hall and a nephew, Clayton Wayne Cannon.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Monday at Ralph Robinson's.
The body of Mr. Cannon will be cremated. Private Burial at a later date will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son.
The family ask that memorials take the form of contributions to the Voluntary Services Program at Central Arkansas Veterans Hospital, 4300 West 7th, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205, or the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 6635, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71611.
