Marie Ashcraft
November 05, 1920 - October 31, 2003

Marie H. Ashcraft, age 83, of Pine Bluff, passed away early Friday morning, October 31, 2003, at Davis Life Care after an extended illness.
Ms. Marie was born November 5, 1920, in Forrest City, St. Francis County, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Victor L. and Nora Grantham Hunt. She was reared and educated in Forrest City and moved to Pine Bluff in 1942.. Marie married Lawrence D. (Speck) Ashcraft in 1946. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1972. Mrs. Ashcraft retired from Arkansas Power and Light on December 1, 1980, after 36 years of service as a transformer Record Clerk. She was a long-time member of the Sixth Street Church of Christ and also the AP&L Retirement Club.
Mrs. Ashcraft is survived by several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Frank Young.
Funeral services willbe held Monday ( November 3, 2003) at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of
Ralph Robinson & Son, 807 Cherry Street with Mr. Ronald Eppler officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pine Bluff.

Paula Kay Colson
August 03, 1956 - November 03, 2003

Paula Kay Colson, age 47, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, November 3, 2003, in Pine Bluff.
She was born August 3, 1956, in Oak Ridge, Louisiana, a daughter of Emmett Eugene and Betty Jean Winnon Colson.
Ms. Colson was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. She was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School and was a lifelong resident of Pine Bluff.
She had worked for Douthit's Radio Service for twenty-three years as a bookkeeper and for the last two years, she had been the manager of Rick's LP Gas.
Ms. Colson attended Broadmoor Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents; two brothers, Russell Eugene Colson of Cornerstone, Arkansas and Thomas Lynn Colson of Pine Bluff; paternal grandmother, Lucy Colson Miller of Altheimer; one nephew, two nieces and two step nieces.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 6, 2003, at 10:00 AM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Mr. Raymond Glendinning officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Oak Ridge, Louisiana at 3:00 PM.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

W. Carl Edwards
August 24, 1912 - November 04, 2003

W. Carl Edwards, 91, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at Trinity Village Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mr. Edwards was born on August 24, 1912, in Lexington, Tennessee, a son of the late William Carl and Stella Stewart Edwards.
He was reared and received his early education in Lexington and in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he graduated from high school. He attended what is now Henderson State University from 1931 to 1932. He served in the United States Army in Panama in World War II from 1942 to 1945. He married Margaret Hill on October 18, 1947, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Mrs. Edwards died in Pine Bluff on March 24, 1987.
Mr. Edwards became a national bank examiner, working regionally as an examiner based from his home in Hot Springs, then Little Rock, and Memphis, Tennessee, until moving to Pine Bluff in December of 1956.
He worked for Simmons First National Bank in Pine Bluff from 1956 until retiring in 1977. He came to Simmons and worked in the Audit Department, became Bank Auditor, and retired as Vice President for Accounting. After his retirement from Simmons, Mr. Edwards worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company for Southeast Arkansas and for Automatic Vending of Arkansas until 1997.
Mr. Edwards was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and Elder for many years.
His survivors include two daughters, Mary Edwards Green of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Ann Edwards Nixon of Pine Bluff; one sister, Rebecca Bennett of El Dorado, Arkansas; and seven grandchildren, Jennifer Nixon and Alice Ann McClure of Little Rock, Carol, Laura, and Sally Nixon of Pine Bluff, Stewart and Mary Margaret Green of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be Friday, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Wm. Lee Kinney officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son. The family will be at the home of Dr. and Mrs. David Nixon, 1905 West 42nd Avenue, Pine Bluff. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to First Presbyterian Church, 717 West 32nd Avenue, Pine Bluff, AR 71603, or to the donor's favorite charity.

Chance Dale Bradshaw
October 27, 2003 - November 10, 2003

Chance Dale Bradshaw, age two weeks, died at St. Vincent Doctors Hospital in Little Rock, Monday, November 10, 2003. Chance was born October 27, 2003, in Little Rock, a son of Jeffery Dale and Kelly Deann Hill Bradshaw.
Chance is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Buck and Debbie Bradshaw of Pine Bluff, Dale and Sandra Hill of Sheridan, and his great-grandmother, Perry Lee Porter of Pine Bluff.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 12, 2003, at 2:00 PM in Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Dennis Owens officiating.

James Calles Edwards
August 26, 1916 - November 12, 2003

James Calles "J. C." Edwards, age 87, of Grady, Arkansas, died at his home Wednesday, November 12, 2003. Mr. Edwards was born August 26, 1916, in Rhine, Arkansas, a son of the late T. I. and Mary Conrad Edwards.
Mr. Edwards was reared in Grady and was a lifelong resident and he attended the Moscow schools.
Mr. Edwards was a member of the Grady United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was also a member of the Gould Post 216 of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Roy Horn Post 4455.
He had worked for the Lincoln County Road Department for thirty-six years, retiring in 1981 as Foreman. He enjoyed gardening and traveling in the U. S. A.
Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his first wife, Ophelia Russell Edwards, who he married August 28, 1939, four brothers; three sisters and one brother in law, J. M. Russell.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his second wife, Myrtle Brown Edwards, who he married September 8, 1989; two sons, Jim Edwards of North Little Rock and Scott Edwards of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Penny Edwards Norris of Clayton, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Gary Smith of Grady and Kirby Smith of Little Rock; one brother, Paul Edwards of Benton; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will Saturday, November 15, 2003, at 10:00 AM at the Grady United Methodist Church by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Reverend Joe Kitchens officiating. Interment will be in Grady Cemetery at Grady, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 6635, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71611.

Adean M Dildy
January 11, 1921 - November 14, 2003

Adean M. Dildy, 82, of Pine Bluff died Friday, November 14, 2003, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 11, 1921, in Nathan (Howard County), to George W. and Alma Jones Webb. She was reared and received her early education in Nashville, where she graduated from Nashville High School.
She married Wyatt Wilson Dildy, June 23, 1947, in Nashville, they moved to Pine Bluff in 1949.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by three sons, Wilson Dean Dildy and James Ernest Dildy of Pine Bluff, George Randall Dildy of Ashland, Missouri, a daughter, Betty Ann Hamilton of Sherwood, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be XX, at Cypress Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Harold Mitchell officiating. Burial will be by Ralph Robinson and Son.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's, Sunday afternoon, 2-4 P.M.

Homer Lee Booher, Sr
May 13, 1916 - November 20, 2003

Homer Lee Booher, Sr., 87, of Swan Lake died Thursday, November 20, 2003, at Wrightsville. He was born May 13, 1916, in Perryville to Henry Harvey and Fannie Farmer Booher.
Mr. Booher was reared and educated in Altheimer, where he attended school. He was a lifelong resident of the Altheimer and Wabbaseka area.
Mr. Booher was a retired Commercial Fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Harvey and Fannie Farmer Booher; brothers, Pink Booher, Clyde Booher; sisters, Joyce Lois Ray, Donnie Faye Sherill, and a half-sister, Juanita Estes.
Survivors include his sons, Harvey Booher, Rickey Booher, Homer Lee Booher, Jr., all of Little Rock; daughters, Diane Norris of Little Rock, Debbie Ann Norris of Indiana, Linda Rice of Little Rock; brother, Stanley Booher of El Paso, Texas; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son.
Graveside services by Ralph Robinson's are scheduled for 2 PM, Monday, November 24, 2003, at Flat Bayou Cemetery ( Jefferson County ) with Reverend John Sandine officiating.

Ruth Irene Yarbrough
December 18, 1915 - November 28, 2001

Ruth Irene Yarbrough, 85, of 6810 South Hazel Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Wednesday, November 28, 2001, at Davis Life Care Center.
Mrs. Yarbrough was born December 18, 1915 in Scranton, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Arch and Fannie Louise Dodson Lay.
Mrs. Yarbrough was reared and educated in Scranton, Arkansas ( Logan County). She married Cloid W. Yarbrough on November 18, 1933 in Logan County. They moved to Wright, Arkansas in the early 1930's and established a family farm. They lived in Wright until moving to Pine Bluff in the early 1950's.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Her survivors include one son, James T. Yarbrough of Glendale, Arkansas, two daughters, Emma Jewel Chandler of Memphis, Tennessee, Ruth Virginia Lambert of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cloid W. Yarbrough, who passed away October 2, 1995, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 1, 2001, 2:00 P.M., Graveside Service at Cypress Memorial Gardens by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors, with the Reverend Victor McGhee officiating. There will be a visitation Friday from 6-8 P.M. at Robinson's.
The family will be located at home of James T. Yarbrough, 15550 Highway 54, Glendale, Arkansas 71603.

Hershel H. Trammell
September 25, 1913 - September 23, 2001

Hershel H. Trammell, 87, of Pine Bluff died Sunday, September 23, 2001, at Pine Bluff Nursing Home. Born September 25, 1913, in Colgate, Oklahoma, a son of the late Henry Lee and Cynthia Trammell, he was reared and received his early education in Oklahoma. He was a switchman for the St. Louis-Southwestern (Cotton Belt) Railroad, retiring after 33 years with the company. He was a deacon at Hazel Street Baptist Church, now Meadowview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ozell Clark Trammell, who he married in Jefferson County on June 13, 1940; son, David Frederick Trammell of Abingdon, Maryland; daughter, Trudy B. Crouse of Marietta, Georgia; brother, Ocial Trammell of Prescott, Arkansas; sister, Violet Robbins of Stuttgart, Arkansas; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Annie Stanley
June 13, 1923 - December 02, 2001

Annie Stanley, 78, of Pine Bluff died Sunday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born June 13, 1923 in Georgia, a daughter to the late Johnny and Nettie Stanley. Mrs. Stanley was reared and educated in Georgia where she attended school. She married Vallie Stanley in 1965 in Stillwell, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Stanley was a loving wife and homemaker. She was a member of Dollarway Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.
Mrs. Stanley is preceded in death by her brothers; Johnny, Richard, Levi, Henry, Harry, Jim and Mike Stanley.
Mrs. Stanley is Gone But Not Forgotten.
She is survived by her husband; Vallie Stanley of Pine Bluff and twenty-four nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends starting at 7:00 PM, Wednesday at Dollarway Baptist Church. The service will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, December 6, 2001 at Dollarway Baptist Church by Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Eddie Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
