Sally Creasy
February 02, 1909 - June 27, 2002

Sally Jones Helfrick Creasy, 93, of Barrington, Illinois, formerly of Pine Bluff, died June 27, 2002, at Barrington.
She was born February 2, 1909, at Oblong, Illinois.
She was a longtime volunteer for many cultural and church organizations in Riverside, Illinois, Phoenix and Pine Bluff. She traveled extensively during her life.
She graduated from DePauw University at Greencastle, Indiana. She was stationed at the Pine Bluff Arsenal during World War II.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Murray D. Helfrick, who died in 1972 and Major General William Creasy, who died in 1987.
Survivors include her caregiver, Charles Helfrick of Barrington.
Memorial services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church at Pine Bluff with the Rev. Charles Settle officiating. Burial will be in Fort Sheridan Post Cemetery at Fort Sheridan, Illinois, by Davenport Family Funeral Home at Barrington.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeast Illinois, 410 South Hager Avenue, Barrington, Illinois, 60010, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Esther Ruth Tucker
December 27, 1910 - July 06, 2002

Esther Ruth Tucker, 91, a resident of Pine Bluff died Saturday, July 6, 2002 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born December 27, 1910 in Prescott, Nevada County Arkansas she was a daughter of the late James W. And Liddie Matthews Camp. Esther worked for many years as an alterations seamstress at J.C. Penney in Pine Bluff from which she retired. She was also a long time member of the Olive Street Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Carl D. Tucker, one brother and 2 sisters. She is survived by one son; G. Dalton Tucker of Sheridan, one sister, Ruby Hamilton of Stamps Arkansas, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at the chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Pastor Roger Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2002 at Ralph Robinson & Son. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Olive Street Baptist Church 1923 Olive Street Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71601.

Mildred Elizabeth McAfee Boshers
October 05, 1925 - July 10, 2002

Mildred M. Boshers, 76, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday at her home in Meridian, Mississippi. She was born October 5, 1925, in Pine Bluff to Earl and Mattie Clark McAfee.
Mrs. Boshers was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. She married Warren Elmo "Bud" Boshers on June 14, 1956, in Pine Bluff.
Mrs. Boshers worked for Entergy ( Arkansas Power & Light) for 40 years before retiring. She was a member of South Side Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Elmo "Bud" Boshers and her parents Earl and Mattie Clark McAfee.
Survivors include her cousin, Brandi Goodman of Meridian, Mississippi; sister- in- law and her husband, Louise and Orvis Brewer of Pine Bluff; nephew, Mike Brewer of Pine Bluff; and a niece, Peggy Sharp of Warren.
Graveside services are 10:00 AM, Monday, July 15, 2002, in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Dick Couch officiating.

Alta Faye ( Nana ) Mulchay
March 22, 1921 - July 10, 2002

Faye "Nana" Mulchay, 81, of 401 Russell Drive, Jefferson, Arkansas, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mrs. Mulchay was born March 22, 1921 in Amity, Arkansas to the late James H. and Lou Bessie Denson Howell. She was reared and educated in Amity and Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She moved to Jefferson, Arkansas in 1943.
She married John Mulchay on October 1, 1943 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Mr. Mulchay passed away February 15, 1973.
Mrs. Mulchay was employed by the El Cocino Mexican Restaurant as a waitress for 8 years. She was also a waitress for Holiday Inn for 12 years, before retiring from there in 1973.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Her survivors include; daughter, Pat Hopkins of Jefferson, Arkansas, one granddaughter and spouse, Kimberly and Jerry West of Jefferson, Arkansas, one great-grandchild, Samuel West of Jefferson, brother, Bobby Howell of Waskom, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mr. John Mulchay, two brothers, and one sister.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 PM at Robinson's.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2002, 2:00PM, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Pastors Bill Fitzhugh and Tony Lawhon officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery .

Ray Brewer
August 26, 1932 - July 12, 2002

Ray Brewer, 69, of Pine Bluff, died Friday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born August 26, 1932, in Ashdown, Arkansas, the son of the late Jack and Effie Estell Bailey Brewer.
Mr. Brewer was reared, educated and lived most of his life in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He had worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Metal Fabricating of Little Rock, Central Maloney and retired in 1999 from Fragra-Matics Manufacturing Inc. in Pine Bluff.
Mr. Brewer was of the Baptist faith, an avid hunter and member of the Sharp Hunting Club at Hermitage, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel Crow and Imogene Rogers.
Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Spears Brewer, whom he married January 10, 1953, in Camden, Arkansas; one daughter and son in law, Debbie and David Tole of Pine Bluff; one granddaughter, Bethany Lackey and one grandson, Matthew Tole, both of Pine Bluff; one sister, Fay Sands of Springfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 15, 2002, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Reverend W. C. Malone officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Robinson's from 2 to 4 PM Sunday.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Meadowview Baptist Church, 7900 Middle Warren Road Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Jimmie Hegwood
March 07, 1919 - July 14, 2002

Jimmie Eastwood Crossett Hegwood, 83, of 1501 Oriole Drive, White Hall, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Hegwood was born March 7, 1919 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Virgil D. and Martha Ann Sullivan Eastwood. She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, where she attended Pine Bluff High School. She married Mr. James Andy Crossett in 1936. He passed away in 1965. She then married Mr. Grover H. Hegwood on November 30, 1986. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Her survivors include; her husband, Mr. Grover H. Hegwood of White Hall, Arkansas, daughter, Charlotte Crossett Beverly England of Rison, Arkansas, two brothers, O. L. Eastwood and Glen Eastwood, both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. James Andy Crossett, son, James Robert Crossett, two sisters, Billie Melton, Bettye Hooten.
` The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM, at Robinson's.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 17, 2002, 10:00 AM, at Trinity Episcopal Church, with the Reverend Edgar "Hap" Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Trucksville, Arkansas (Cleveland County) by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 703 West 3rd Avenue, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71601, or the Diabetes. Association, AR Affiliate, 212 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.

Harold Anderson
October 04, 1922 - July 17, 2002

Harold Anderson, Sr., 79, of Sherrill died Wednesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born October 4, 1922 to Smith Wheeler and Belle Zorah McGough Anderson in Mt. Ida.
Mr. Anderson was reared and educated in Keo. He served in the United States 3rd Army, Anti-aircraft Division during World War II. Mr. Anderson participated in the battles and campaigns at Rhineland, Central Europe, Normandy, North France, and Ardennes.
Mr. Anderson married the former Anna Mae Archer on November 25, 1942 in Keo. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill.
Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his parents Smith Wheeler and Belle Zorah McGough Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Anderson of Sherrill; sons, Harold Anderson, Jr., of Rogers, Charles Dean Anderson of Pine Bluff; daughter, Phyllis Jean Bardwell of Emory, Texas; brothers, Darrell Anderson of Little Rock, Clinton Anderson of Sherrill; sister, Elizabeth Leola Hagerman of Little Rock; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Friday, July 19, 2002, First Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill, Arkansas with Reverend Hollis McDermott officiating. Interment will follow in Keo Cemetery, Keo Arkansas.
The family ask that memorials take the form of contributions to First Missionary Baptist Church of Sherrill, Mission Fund, P O Box 4, Sherrill, Arkansas, 72152.

James Edward DeRossitte
July 15, 1948 - July 16, 2002

James Edward DeRossitte, 54, of Redfield, (formerly of Memphis, Tennessee), died at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Tuesday. Mr. DeRossitte was born July 15, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas, a son of Elizabeth Faye Nichols DeRossitte Hudspeth and the late James Eugene DeRossitte.
Mr. DeRossitte had been a resident of Memphis, Tennessee, for many years. While living in Memphis, he was a self-employed Heating and Air Conditioning Technician. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1999, and began working for Comfort Heating and Air.
He was a member of St Luke United Methodist Church and a U. S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam.
Mr. DeRossitte was predeceased by his father, James Eugene DeRossitte and a brother, Robert Anthony DeRossitte.
He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Peters of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two sons, Jaymes of North Little Rock and Christopher of Cabot, Arkansas; mother, Elizabeth Faye Hudspeth of Redfield; two brothers, Michael DeRossitte and Hank Hudspeth both of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren; caregiver and special nephew, Jack Hudspeth of Pine Bluff and fiancee, Mary Jane Brock of Memphis, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 19, 2002, at 10:00 AM, Graveside at Cypress Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Reverend Altus Block officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's fron 6 to 8 PM Thursday evening.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Ameriacn Cancer Soriety, Post Office Box 6635, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71611.

Meg Seaton Brown
August 02, 1930 - July 18, 2002

"Meg" Seaton Brown, 71, a resident of Pine Bluff died July 18, 2002 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born August 2, 1930 in Bald Knob, she was a daughter of the late Willard A. and Myrtle Mae Roseau Seaton.
She was reared and received her early education in Bald Knob and graduated from Bald Knob High School. Meg married Art Brown in Pine Bluff on January 23, 1972. "Meg" worked for several different retail stores as a saleslady, including Dillard's Department Store. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Meg is survived by her husband, Art Brown of Pine Bluff; one son, Michael Waller of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Dr. Suzan J. Waller of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister, Sue Meurer of Pine Bluff, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Saturday, July 20, 2002, at 10:00 AM at Roselawn Cemetery with Chaplain Charles Freyder officiating. The family will receive friends at Robinson's Friday 6-8 PM. The family will be staying at 2804 Orlando.

Floy Mae Reed
May 08, 1915 - July 20, 2002

Floy Mae Shell Reed, age 87, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday afternoon at the White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center.
Floy was born May 8, 1915 a daughter of F.T. and Bertha Fielding Shell at the Ain Community in Grant County. She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in the class of 1934. She married Troy B. Reed on November 13, 1937 in Pine Bluff. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1994. Floy worked as a Deputy Circuit Clerk for Jefferson County for 23 1/2 years retiring in 1980. She was an active member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, both in the CPW and the Sunday School program. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxliary. Mrs. Reed loved to do volunteer work at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She also loved to fish and garden.
She is survived by two sons and daugther in laws, Troy and Caroline Reed of Mobile, Alabama and Ronnie and Debbie Reed of White Hall; one brother and sister in law, Lester and Marie Shell of Pine Bluff; and two grandchildren, Suzanne Harvey and Dane Reed.
Floy was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, one sister and one grandson, Troy Keith.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at 2:00 pm, at the Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home, 807 Cherry Street, Pine Bluff. Visitation will be held on Monday 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be at the Shell Chapel Cemetery, Jefferson County, Arkansas.
