Billie LeSieur (Duncan)
November 25, 1926 - July 29, 2011

Billie Ann LeSieur, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Friday, July 29, 2011, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Born November 25, 1926, in Camden, Mississippi, she was a daughter of William A. and Callie Greenwalt Duncan.

Mrs. LeSieur was reared and received her early education in Camden, Mississippi. She was a 1944 graduate of Camden High School. Billie Ann Duncan married Charles LeSieur on June 3, 1949, in Camden, Mississippi. Mrs. LeSieur worked as a secretary for Fred Nelson Insurance Company of Jackson, Mississippi until the birth of her first child. She then was a full-time mother and homemaker.

Mrs. LeSieur was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a past member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also an active member of the Bunco Belles, and the Buzzin Dozen Ladies Group.

Mrs. LeSieur was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James H. Duncan.

Survivors include her husband, Charles LeSieur of Pine Bluff; one son, Msgr. David LeSieur of Rogers; one daughter, Angelique Ford of White Hall; two grandchildren, Matthew Ford and Julianne Ford of White Hall.

The visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 PM Monday, August 1, 2011 at Ralph Robinson & Son. The Vigil Service will follow at 7:00 PM.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 2, 2011, with Msgr. David LeSieur celebrating and joined by Bishop Anthony Taylor, Father L. Warren Harvey, and other priests. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials made be made to: St. Joseph Catholic Church, 412 W. 6th Ave. Pine Bluff, AR 71601.

Nellie R. Bell (Easley)
March 11, 1923 - July 28, 2011

Nellie R. Bell, age 88, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Bell was born March 11, 1923, in Fouke, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Dexter Smith and Dora Elizabeth Barnes Easley.

Mrs. Bell was reared and received her early education in Garland and Fouke. She had been a resident of Texarkana before moving to Pine Bluff with her husband in 1953.

She was a homemaker, member of Second Baptist Church and the Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary and she loved flowers.

She was preceded in death in 2004, by her husband, John B. Bell, whom she married November 6, 1938, and one daughter, Betty Jean Bell.

Mrs. Bell is survived by a daughter, Barbara Bell Kropp of Sheridan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Luther and Cherry Bell of Fouke, Bill and Becky Bell of Mena; sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Karl Hudson of Texarkana, sister-in-law, Lorene Easley of Fouke; ten grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Monday, August 1, 2011, at 1:00 PM in Sylverino Cemetery at Fouke by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Harold Mitchell officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Post Office Box 100, Department 300, Memphis, Tennessee 38148.

The family will be at 4084 Miller County 43.

Rosemond Heist Miller
December 26, 1914 - August 1, 2011

Rosemond Heist Miller, 96, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, August 1, 2011.

She was born in 1914 in Fornfelt (now Scott City), Missouri, daughter of the late Arnold J. and Bertha Owen Heist.

Mrs. Miller was reared and received her early education in Fornfelt, graduating from Fornfelt High School in 1933. She also played on the girls basketball team.

She married R.B. Miller, a Cotton Belt engineer, March 9, 1934 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. They moved to Pine Bluff in 1940.

Rosemond was a member of East Side Christian Church in Pine Bluff, where she served as pianist for about 10 years. She was also a member of the Fireman's Auxiliary and Engineer's Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Miller; parents; and son, Jerry Heist Miller.

Survivors include her daughter, Myra Belle "Sally" Miller of Little Rock; three granddaughters, Myra Baran of Little Rock, Rosemond Perdue Cranner of Los Angeles, California and Margo Miller Turner of Hot Springs; and three great-grandchildren, John Armer Perdue Baran, R. Burette Miller Baran and Mary Rosemond "CeCe" Cranner.

A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City, Missouri with Dr. Dan Festa officiating. Arrangements were handled by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Joe T. Steward
October 7, 1928 - August 3, 2011

Joe T. Steward, of White Hall, departed this life on August 3, 2011.

Mr. Steward was born October 7, 1928, and raised in Yell County, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Ola High School and the University of Central Arkansas. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Navy in the Pacific theater.

He married Pauline Moudy on March 11, 1949, and worked as a Supply Officer at the Pine Bluff Arsenal for 22 years.

Mr. Steward was a passionate member of the Disabled American Veterans organization and devoted much of his retirement years to serving the D.A.V., including serving as a national officer. He loved martial arts and was a student and teacher for Taiho-Ryu Karate and Jiu-jitsu, where he attained the certification of third degree black belt. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and raised horses and cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fenner William and Ella Irene Steward, his sister, Imogene Montgomery, brother-in-law Fred Montgomery and brother-in-law, Roy Brannon.

Mr. Steward is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pauline Moudy Steward; his daughter Paula Steward Sears of Redfield; his son and daughter-in-law, Garry T. and Flo Ann Steward of Bismarck; his granddaughter and her husband, Kimberly Steward Hughes and Dr. James Hughes of Hot Springs; his grandson and his wife, First Lieutenant Ronnie Sears and Nicole Sears of Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota; his grandson, Jason Sears of Cabot; his great granddaughters, Sara K. Hughes, Riley Sears and Ava Sears; his great-grandson Brett Sears; his sisters, Mable Brannon of Petit Jean Mountain, Helen Tilley and her husband, Edgar, of Greenbrier, and Betty Burr and her husband, Gordon, of Hot Springs; his brothers, Bill Steward and his wife, Margaret of Havana, and Fenner William Steward, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Springdale; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends and fellow veterans.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Fitzhugh officiating. A private interment will follow the service.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2011, at the chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Ann Bramley Wynne
October 6, 1950 - August 6, 2011

Ann Bramley Wynne, 60, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, August 6, 2011. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and wife, a loyal and understanding friend, and an avid and dedicated runner. She will be remembered as a tireless and meticulous planner and organizer who might spend hours searching for that "missing penny" in her checkbook.

Ann spent most of her childhood and received an early education in Overland Park, Kansas, graduating from Shawnee Mission South High School. She earned her degree in psychology from the University of Kansas in 1972. Ann moved with her husband, Terry, to Pine Bluff in 1979. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church and the Discovery Sunday School Class. Ann was also a member of the Junior League of Pine Bluff and was involved in Race for the Cure for many years, both as a runner and as treasurer for the fundraising programs in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County, and "In the Pink", a Komen for the Cure Foundation fundraiser. After raising her children, Ann worked for Jeanne Spann, CPA, and in the accounting department of Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Wynne, whom she married July 27, 1974 in Overland Park, Kansas; son, Andrew Wynne and his wife, Alison, of Fayetteville; daughter, Cristen Barnett and her husband, Bob, of Little Rock, and her grandson, Wynne Barnett; sister, Nancy D. "Debe" Bramley of Leawood, Kansas. Her namesake, Ann Rawlings Barnett, is due to arrive August 22, 2011.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday August 9, 2011, at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Reverend Pam Estes officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. in the Youth Center of the church. Arrangements were handled by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors (online register: www.ralphrobinsonandson.com).

Leeson Edward Laughry
March 16, 1948 - August 6, 2011

Leeson Edward Laughry, 63, of Sheridan, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 6, 2011, at his home.
He was born March 16, 1948, in Rison, to Ira Victor and Gladys Case Laughry.
Mr. Laughry was reared and educated in Rison.
He was a sheet rock finisher.
He was preceded in death by his father, sisters, Dorothy Bailey, Doris Gray, Jo Lynn Laughry and Patricia Petty.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Russell Laughry; daughter and son in law, Melanie and Bryan Rainey, Sr. of Hensley; mother, Gladys Laughry of Rison; grandchildren, Bryan Rainey, Jr., Brianna Rainey; brother, Eddie Laughry of Pine Bluff and a sister, Vickie Cannon of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday at Robinson's.
Funeral service will be 10 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2011, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Scott Martin officiating.
Burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery.

Wynona Mitchell (Jackson)
December 1, 1927 - August 6, 2011

Wynona J. Mitchell, age 83, of White Hall, died Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Mitchell was born December 1, 1927, in Cabanal, Arkansas, a daughter of the Wilburn Ray and Dorcas McKinney Jackson.

She was reared and received her early education in Berryville and Greenland, graduating from Greenland High School. She was a resident of Fayetteville from 1942 to 1953, at which time she moved to Pine Bluff.

She entered the Davis School of Nursing and graduated in 1957, with a LPN degree. She began working at the Davis Hospital in Pine Bluff and when the Jefferson Regional Medical opened, she began working there and retired in 1972, after fifteen years of service.

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Sixth Street Church of Christ and AARP(American Association of Retired People).

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death in 1994, by her husband, Lawrence C. Mitchell, whom she married October 16, 1952.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara M. and Larry G. Rushing of White Hall.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at 3:00 PM at the Moore Freewill Baptist Church in Berryville by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Doug Harris officiating. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Robinson's Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association, 909 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, AR 72203.

Opal Roberson (Boyd)
August 5, 1922 - August 7, 2011

Opal Boyd Spurlock Roberson, 89, a resident of Amity, died Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Baptist Hospital in Arkadelphia.

Born August 5, 1922, in Pine Bluff, she was a daughter of Charles A. and Mattie Virginia Townsell Boyd.

Mrs. Roberson was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff. She married Arthur Spurlock in 1941, and Mr. Spurlock preceded her in death. She married Caney L. Roberson on February 20, 1948, in Pine Bluff, and he preceded her in death April 26, 1986. Mrs. Roberson was a homemaker and mother for most of her life, but she did alterations for Welch Cleaners for three years, retiring in 1984. She was a Jehovah's Witness.

Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and four sisters.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Virginia (Charles) Herring of Amity; one son and daughter-in-law, Alton "Snuffy" (Frances) Spurlock of Hot Springs; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James A. Boyd of Pine Bluff.

The visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Ralph Robinson & Son.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2011, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Elder Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son.

Robert Dale "Rob Bob" Davis
February 11, 1964 - August 8, 2011

Robert "Rob Bob" Dale Davis, 47, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, August 8, 2011.

He was born February 11, 1964 in Pine Bluff, son of David and Frances Marie Johnson Davis.

Robert was reared and received his early education in Watson Chapel, graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1983.

He worked as a truck driver for Pulpwood Producers for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Shelly Wiscaver Davis, whom he married April 18, 1986 in Pine Bluff; daughter, April Davis of Star City; parents, David and Frances Davis of Pine Bluff; two brothers, David Davis, III of Lake Village and Jerry Davis of Pine Bluff; sister, Tammie Brown of Jonesboro; maternal grandmother, Bessie Johnson of Dewitt; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittney Nicole Davis.

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverends Travis Creekmore and A. T. Davis officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be made to New Harvest Church of God, 9016 Highway 270, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71602.

The family will be located at 3510 Lowman Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603.
