Mrs. Florence Sund

Mrs. Florence May Iva Sund, 62, of Denver, Colo., daughter of Mrs. Lois Ellen Bratton Parker of London, died Thursday, July 24, 1997, in Denver, Colo.

She was a native of Russellville, daughter of the late Jock Parker, widow of Charles Sund, graduate of Orestimba High School in Newman, Calif., chef, Baptist, and a member of the Pinetree Quilt Guild in Nevada City, Calif.

Herb Parker of London; two sisters, Betty Maddox of Nevada City, Calif., and Jane Wood of Glendale, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Allison Campbell and Ellen Campbell.

Funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Moore Howard Berkeley Park Chapel with burial in Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo.

Ezekiel Gregory

Ezekiel Gregory, 79, of Clarksville died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at his home.

He was a former resident of Pettigrew, son of the late James Robert and Dona Jones Gregory, farmer, member of Yale Full Gospel Church, and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gayle Seals Gregory; five daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Bob Acord of Farmington, Jean and Dan Core of Paris, Carolyn and Gary Yates of Oark, and Marilyn and Steve Pearson and Lynn and Dennis Steele, all of Clarksville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Tricia Gregory, Larry and Judy Gregory, and Gary and Theresa Gregory, all of Clarksville; one sister, Nola Dean Dickson of Tulsa, Okla.; and three brothers, Bill Gregory of Pettigrew, Roy Gregory of Springdale, and J. L. Gregory of Camden Point, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Yale Church with Rev. Jimmy Bennett and Rev. Mike Roach officiating.

Burial will be in Yale Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Greg Cox, Matt Yates, Geoffrey Gregory, Brad Pearson, Eric Gregory and Jamie Gregory.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Acord, Mark Yates, and Brock Bond.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Earnest Warren

Earnest Warren, 78, of Hagarville died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.

He was a retired AM Smelding Company employee, Navy veteran of World War II, member of the Assembly of God Church, son of the late John Wesley and Lula May Graves Warren, and was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Standridge Warren.

He is survived by one daughter, Dorotha Brundige of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Irene Scott of Hagarville; four brothers, Leon Warren of Clarksville, Lewis Warren and Charlie Warren, both of Lamar, and Manford Warren of Colorado; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Annie's Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gerrell Warren, Jessie Warren, Gary Robbins, Jimmie Bokie, Brian Hency, and Scotty Hicks.

Mrs. Geska T. Dow

Mrs. Geska Tschigg Dow, 83, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at her home.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Van Diest Tschigg, widow of Lonenzo E. Dow, and a member of the Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Martha Robinson of Maryville, Tenn.; two sons, Joseph Dow of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Jim Dow of Clarksville; one granddaughter, Lisa Johnson of Clarksville; and one great-grandson, Preston Johnson of Clarksville.

A prayer service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loren E. Famuliner officiating. The body was cremated.

Mrs. Laura Hughes

Mrs. Laura Hughes, 83, of Hagarville died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.

A native of Limestone, she was a daughter of the late Squire and Abbie Davis Stone, widow of Albert Hughes, and member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Sarah (Lola) Ranger of Lamar and Ruth Roberts of Cowell; one brother, Joe Stone of Nashport, Ohio; five grandchildren, Steve Poole of Joplin, Mo., Martin Poole of Loveland, Colo., Denton Roberts of Lamar, Wesley Roberts of Mossville, and Sandy Roberts of Hagarville; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. E. Fay Bennett officiating. Burial was in Fort Douglas Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Joe Hampton, Bill Stone, Dean Wright, Martin Poole, Richard White, and Les Claxton.

Mrs. Lucille Rhine

Mrs. Lucille Rhine, 95, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.

A native of Coal Hill, she was a daughter of the late Burke Douglas and Carrie Bench Smith and widow of George W. Rhine.

She is survived by one son, Jon Rhine of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Christina Papasan of Clarksville and Jon Wesley Rhine Jr. of Lamar; one great-grandchild, Keshia Papasan of Clarksville; and one nephew, Randy Ferguson of Little Rock.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clifton Papasan, Gene Raible, Keith Hammond, J. C. Campbell, David Chronister, and Sparky Sparks.

Mrs. Nancy Epperson

Mrs. Nancy E. Epperson, 67, of Wichita, Kan., died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998.

She was a retired Cessna Aircraft Company certification clerk.

She is survived by two sons, Rodney M. Hughey and Rickey J. Hughey, both of Wichita, Kan.; one daughter, Connie Hay of Wichita, Kan.; and two sisters, Dorothy J. Eden of Wichita, Kan., and Phyllis Kackley of Verona, Mo.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Broadway Mortuary Chapel in Wichita, Kan., followed by graveside services and burial at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville.

Memorials may be made to Hospice, Inc., in Wichita, Kan.

Otal Freeman

Otal Freeman, 79, of Dover died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

A native of Johnson County, he was a son of the late John and Rebecca Stewart Freeman, retired Darling Inc., employee and attended the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna Mathews Freeman; two sons, Bobby Mathews and Gary Freeman, both of Dover; two daughters, Paulette Helton of Dover and Margaret Matlock of New Blaine; two brothers, Zearl Freeman and Leymon Freeman, both of Lamar; one sister, Etna Avery of Modesto, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bobby Freeman officiating.

Burial was in Annie's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Mathews, Boyd Freeman, Dale Freeman, Don Freeman, Danny McMinn, and Floyd Combs.

Mrs. Shirley A. Weaver

Mrs. Shirley A. Weaver, 62, of Granbury, Texas, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a daughter of the late Robert Maxwell and Catherine Edwards Scott.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Weaver; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggi and Harlen Tebben of Scranton; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert and Georginia Weaver and Thomas J. (T. J.) Weaver Jr., all of Granbury, Texas, and James Weaver of Fort Smith; stepfather, Roy Collins of Frankfort, Ky.; three sisters, Pat Curtis of Waterloo, Ind., Carol (Jeanie) Klein of Hudson, Fla., and Mrs. Chris (Sue) Mecke of Glendale, Ariz.; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 36 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Alexander officiating.
