Mrs. Shirley Brannan

Mrs. Shirley Ann Brannan, 57, of West Fork, grandmother of Mark, Destiny and Jacob Long of Lamar, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at Mountainburg.

She was born in Compton, Calif., to Eugene and Willie Belle Horton Harderson.

Survivors include her husband, Max Brannan; three sons, Rick Long of Fayetteville, Mark Long of Amarillo, Texas, and Timothy Long of Fayetteville; one daughter, Deborah Gill of Mountainburg; two brothers, Bob Coker and Richard Harderson, both of West Fork; ten other grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at the West Fork Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilma Armstrong

Mrs. Wilma Fae Armstrong, 71, of Ventura, Calif., died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at her home.

A native of Coal Hill, she was a daughter of the late Harvey O. and Mary B. Hardgrave, widow of Edward Scott Armstrong, an employee of Broadway Department Store in Ventura, Calif., for several years and was the assistant to the personnel officer at the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Civil Personnel Office, in Port Hueneme prior to retirement in 1990. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Ventura, Calif., a volunteer in numerous church, school, and community activities, was active in aerobics classes for 15-plus years and was a former member of the Ventura Adult Education aerobics program. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Scott Armstrong.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Armstrong of Ventura, Calif.; one son and two daughters-in-law, James and Keira Armstrong and Denise Capritto, all of Ventura, Calif.; one sister and brother-in-law, Dane and Eloise Hartlein of Watsonville, Calif.; two granddaughters, Jeri Armstrong of Ventura, Calif., and Cara Johnson of Auburn, Calif.; one grandson, Cory Norris of Grass Valley, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the First Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to Hospice, Livingston Visiting Nurse Association, 1996 Eastman Avenue, Ventura, CA 93001.

William R. Faldon

William R. Faldon, 85, of Van Buren, father of Teresa Fine of Clarksville, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999.

He was retired owner and operator of Faldon Electric Company, U. S. Army veteran of World War II having served in the invasion of Normandy at Omaha Beach and also fought in the Battle of the Bulge, member of VFW Post No. 2036 and the Woodsmen of the World, and a former volunteer for the Sebastian County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Zettie Mae Faldon; one other daughter, Terry Faldon-Gamarra of Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Myrtle Bloom of Chicago, Ill., and Leona Syrock of Van Buren; and four grandchildren, Jacqueline Gamarra of Miami, Fla., and Michael Fine, Meghan Fine, and Christopher Fine, all of Clarksville.

Funeral was at noon Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial and military honors at the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.

Active pallbearers were nephews, Don Faldon, Dwight Faldon, George Faldon, Marvin Faldon, Ralph Faldon, and Jimmy Eoff.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the 335th Infantry Division, Company H 1943-46, U. S. Army.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 1274, Fort Smith, AR 72902 or Concord Baptist Church Building Fund, 6105 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR 72956.

Floyd Ulice Harper

Floyd Ulice Harper, 81, of Coweta, Okla., died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, in Tulsa, Okla.

He was a son of the late Frank and Betty White Harper, member of the Church of Christ, and retired transportation American Airlines employee.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Stella Hines Harper; three stepsons, Stuart Gustafson of Boise, Idaho, Eric Gustafson of San Diego, Calif., and David Gustafson of Imperial, Calif.; one sister, Crystal Kimmons of Fort Smith; one brother, Gomer Harper of Paris; seven grandchildren, David, Brian, Chris, Steven, Richard, Adrrianne, and Woody Gustafson; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at Roller Chapel in Paris with burial in Oakwood Cemetery at Paris.

Mrs. Imagene Bishop

Mrs. Imagene Bishop, 65, of Clarksville died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at her home.

A native of Cushman, she was a daughter of the late Price William and Dovie Mae Tate Wolford, widow of Porter Bishop, and was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia, and two brothers, Virgil and Jimmy.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandy Burkett of Clarksville and Karyle and Duane Scherer of Yucaipa, Calif.; three sisters, Veda Russell and Jean Gould, both of Batesville, and Louise Pruitt of Maryland; and four grandchildren, Adam Burkett and Matthew Burkett, both of Clarksville, and Steven Scherer and David Scherer, both of Yucaipa, Calif.

Private services will be held at Hardwicke Funeral Home with burial in Oakland Cemetery.

John Alfred Price

John Alfred Price, 74, of Russellville died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Mich.

He was a graduate of Lamar High School, son of the late Bart and Sally Allen Price, World War II Army veteran, member of Mason Center Line Lodge No. 550, retired police officer, and was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Nell Cary, and two brothers, Robert Dean Price and Eugene Price.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nina Hewitt Price; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Gary Baker, Susan and Alex Faulk, and Sharon and Gaylord Gwisdalla, all of Michigan, and Lesley and Bill Pomlin of Pottsville; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Marilyn Price of Texas, and Kim and Linda Price and Terry and Lori Hall Price, all of Michigan; one sister, Mildred Michelsen of Richardson, Texas; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Roller-Cox Chapel with burial in Minnow Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the local Alzheimers Association.

Mrs. Mary B. Shelton

Mrs. Mary Beatrice Shelton, 91, of Subiaco died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, in Paris.

She was the widow of Nesby Shelton and affiliated with the Scranton Holiness Church.

She is survived by one son, John Shelton of Scranton; one brother, Arlis Selph of Scranton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the Scranton Holiness Church with burial in the Ellsworth Cemetery at Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.

Mrs. Pearl P. Clark

Mrs. Pearl P. Clark, 93, of Clarksville died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a retired factory employee, member of the Pentecostal Church, daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah Cowan Harderson, and widow of Floyd Clark.

She is survived by three daughters, Edna M. Ramirez of Knoxville, Letha A. Flemming of Anaheim, Calif., and Floydell Johnson of Salem, Ore.; two sons, Alvin H. Hollon of Springdale and Argus Hollon of Clarksville; 24 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Oakland Street Church with Rev. Carl Sory officiating.

Burial will be in Mossville Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Vaughn, Eddie Kimbrel, Orbie Harderson, Russell Harderson, Barry Vaughn, and Kenny Kimbrel.

Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Robbie F. Jones

Mrs. Robbie Foster Jones, 79, of Hartman died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.

A native of the Montana Community, she was a daughter of the late Bob and Lou Tipton Foster, a 1938 graduate of Hartman High School, and a retired cook from the Tulsa, Okla., schools.

Survivors include her husband, Orville Jones; one son and daughter-in-law, Gorman and Sharron Jones of Hartman; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Earnest Walker of Hartman; one brother, Thurman Foster of Hartman; three grandchildren, Mark, Dale and Rebecca Jones of Tulsa, Okla.; and four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kaysi, Michelle and Jacob Jones, all of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with burial in the Hartman Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
