Geneva Hardgrave

Geneva Ritchie Hardgrave, 90, of Little Rock passed away on October 16, 2004.

She was born in Pettigrew, AR in Madison County on September 3, 1914. She lived most of her life in Coal Hill and Clarksville, AR. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville and volunteered at the church thrift shop for many years. She worked at the IGA grocery store in Clarksville for over 16 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Hardgrave, her parents, John and Florence Ritchie, her daughter, Betty Jean Robertson and her husband, William R. Robertson of Little Rock, her son-in-law, Eddie Rose, two sisters, Fannie Hurst and Alta Hardgrave, and two brothers, Edward Ritchie and Burl Ritchie.

She is survived by one daughter, Reba Rose of Little Rock; four grandson, Larry Rose, David Rose, Darren Rose and Dr. Wade W. Robertson and his wife, Angie; one granddaughter, Emily Kennedy and husband, Michael; one great-grandson, Adam Rose, all of Little Rock and North Little Rock.

Her five grandsons and one great-grandson will act as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be H. D. Griffin and Larry Jones.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at 10 a.m. in the chapel at the Hardwicke Funeral Home with Reverend Lance Jones presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Research Center UAMS Family Home, 4300 Markham, Little Rock, AR 72205 or the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville.

Henry Perry

Henry Perry, 59, of Ozark, father of William Perry of Hartman, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at his home.

He was born at Mulberry, son of the late Jim and Edna Faye Cowans Perry, and former employee of Cargill.

Survivors include one other son, James Perry of Ozark; four sisters, Beulah Stillwell of Mulberry, Martha Teague of Alma, Charlene Sue of Georgia and Trina Moore of Van Buren; two brothers, John Perry of Dyer and Gary Perry of Alma; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at McLaughlin Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

Larry L. Finn

Larry Lawerance Finn, 55, of Pettigrew died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at his home.

He was a native of Fayetteville, farmer, member of the Full Gospel Mission in Fayetteville, and served in the Arkansas Army National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Loetta Vire Finn; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Heath and Cindy Finn of Farmington, and L. E. Finn and Lukas Finn, both of the home; parents, James Richard and Rosie Theresa DellaRosa Finn of Tontitown; two brothers, Frank Finn of Plano, Texas, and Richard Finn of Elm Springs; one sister, Barbara Holcombe of Fort Smith; and two granddaughters, Ashlyn Finn and Meghan Finn, both of Farmington.

Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Pine Grove Cemetery with Mary Kilpatrick, Dorothy Hilton, Doyle Baker and Jeff Burley officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.

Pallbearers were David Lawson, Jerrad Berry, Les Skaggs, Chris Harriman, Chris Lassiter and Mike Witt.

Steven K. Barfield

Steven Kenneth Barfield, 58, of Lamar died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at his home.

He was a native of Petersburg, Fla., son of the late Walter Clayton Barfield, U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, licensed electrician and an employee of Taber Metals.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sharon Kay Drittler Barfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donita and David Perren of Clarksville, Debra and Tim Uhde of Lamar, and Denise and Mike Collins of Hunt; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Valerie Barfield of Rogers; mother, Thelma June Hineline of Oklahoma; one half-sister, Judy Morris of Missouri; one brother, Ronald Barfield Sr. of Oklahoma; one half-brother, Roger Christen of Florida; father-in-law, John F. Drittler of Lamar; 12 grandchildren, Bryan Perren, Rocker, Chaffy and Tamara Uhde, Kari and Cindi Pressley, Trenton and Darian Collins, and Daniela, Amanda, Casey and Steven Barfield; one great-grandchild, Teagan Sheets; stepgrandchildren, Melanie and Scott McKay of Dyer, Michael Perren of Clarksville and Tonia and Warren Eliot of Booneville; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Kerstin McKay, Dalton Williams and Toby Eliot; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Lutherville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Perren, Rocker Uhde, Chaffy Uhde, Michael Perren, Trenton Collins, and Steven Barfield.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Agnes F. Estep

Agnes Foster Estep, 88, of Russellville died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Center at Russellville.

She was a native of Midway in Logan County, daughter of the late Riley and Tennie Trusty Foster, member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Russellville, and was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Martha Jane Estep; three brothers, Curtis O. Foster, Dewey Denton Foster, and Murry M. Foster; and two sisters, Sara Janie Foster and Atha L. Foster.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Marie Estep of Russellville; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Dennis Duryea of Russellville; three granddaughters, Christy Leavell of Russellville, Michelle Gilleran of Conway, and Melissa Belz of Naples, Fla.; and four great-grandchildren, Paige and Mallory Leavell of Russellville and Matthew and Nicholas Gilleran of Conway.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the Elsworth Cemetery at Midway with Rev. Don Erwin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Leavell and Shawn Gilleran.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 320 North Greenwood Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Alice C. Walleck

Mass of Christian burial for Alice Catherine Walleck, 60, a native of Coal Hill, who died Jan. 22, 2005, was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Holy Spirit Church followed by burial in Resurrection North Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of McGilley Midtown Chapel in Kansas City, Mo.

She was reared in Kansas City, Mo., graduated from Hogan High School, and was active in the St. Agnes PTO and Nativity Circle at St. Agnes. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Pat; and one sister, Judy.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Walleck; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Andy, Sean and Amy, and Tom and Lora; three sisters, Mary Wall, Pat Weir and Rita Hamilton; and five grandchildren.

Bonnie M. Byrd

Bonnie Marie Byrd, 83, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, in Murietta, Calif.

She was a former resident of Lamar and Clarksville, former employee of Senior Companion, daughter of the late Jack and Jessie Fugett Ramsey, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Jason Purkis.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Cuthill of Corvallis, Ore.; two sons, Greg Kolt of San Diego, Calif., and William Kolt of Temecula, Calif.; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Miller- Jones Mortuary Chapel in Sun City, Calif., with private internment to follow.

Beatrice Hughes

Beatrice (Bea) Hughes, 85, of Clarksville died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a daughter of the late Dowen D. and Cary Hogan Dunsworth, native of Van Buren County, retired beautician and member of the First Baptist Church in Knoxville.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Gordon Hughes; two stepsons, Robert Jerry Hughes of Osceola and Larry Dean Hughes of Dover; one stepdaughter, Arlia Mae Thomas of Russellville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Carla D. Williams

Carla Dawn Williams, 45, of Coal Hill died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident in Albuquerque, N. M.

She was a nurse and was preceded in death by one grandson, Zachary Parker.

Survivors include her husband, Michael J. Williams; one daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Tracy Brown of Coal Hill; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brandon and Kristal Parker of Coal Hill and Hank and Sundi Williams of Clarksville; parents, Lawrence Don and Shirley Hanson Parker of Coal Hill; one sister, Tracy Warren of Coal Hill; one brother, Larry Parker of Ozark; and seven grandchildren, Ariel and Braxton Eddy, Hayley and Caleb Parker, Chelsie Boswell, Derek Brown, and Aspen Williams.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Jamestown Assembly of God Church with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.

Burial will be in Hess Cemetery at Coal Hill under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Randy Muldoon, Chris Nagel, Bret Nagel, Jerry Parker, Tommy Hanson, and Ronnie Fannon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Parker and Lewis Morrow.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Georgia H. Hendrix

Georgia H. Hendrix, 82, of Clarksville died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Baldwin, daughter of the late John Taylor and Eutha Mae Over Little, widow of Wilburn Hendrix, member of First Baptist Church, retired from the alteration department of Quality Cleaners, and also did alterations in her home for several years.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Wayne Pyron of Clarksville; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Janey Little of Clarksville; caregiver, LaVerne Wages of Clarksville; and special friends, Leon and Joyce Strope of Fayetteville.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Brown officiating.

Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery at Hunt under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Charles Over, Gene Over, Darrell Over, Chad Over, Brian Covington, and Steven Campbell.
