ROCKFORD, Ill. -- Charlie Dunning, formerly of Corning, died April 16, 2006, at Rockford.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning, with visitation at noon. Burial will be in Corning Cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmy McMasters officiating.
Survivors are a daughter, Clydean Whelchel of Rockford; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Wallace of Corning; and a brother, Arthur Dunning of Mesa, Ariz.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Catherine; his parents, Tom and Sidney Dunning; three brothers; and two sisters.
William Harthorn
WALNUT RIDGE -- Infant William Harthorn of Walnut Ridge died Saturday, April 15, 2006 at NEA Medical Center.
Survivors include his parents, Steven P. and Catherine J. Harthorn; a brother and sister, Edward and Caroline Harthorn, both of the home; paternal grandparents, Steven and Linda Harthorn of Holland, Mich.; maternal grandmother, June VanBruggen of Durham, N.C.; and maternal great-grandparents, Olin and Berneice Pfautz of Marion, Ohio.
Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today with the Rev. Debbie Spangler officiating. Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery
at College City by Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

BAY -- Larry Heath, 55, of Bay died Sunday afternoon at his home.

Lela Hicks
KNOBEL -- Lela Hicks, 85, of Knobel died April 15, 2006, at Meadows Health and Rehab in Corning.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Doyle Hicks of Corning and Floyd Wayne Hicks of Conway; four granddaughters, Beth Carter, Ann Marcello, Lora Jersey and Camyl Wehrlin; a grandson, Bobby Doyle Hicks; two stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jeffrey Hicks; four brothers, Buck Oglesby, Harold Oglesby, Burley Oglesby and Johnny Oglesby; and three sisters, Jessie Nance, Catherine Foster and Betty Jo Sturman.
The family will receive visitors from 6-9 tonight. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Burial will follow in Corning Cemetery.
LaDonna Ann Mitchell
NORTH LITTLE ROCK -- LaDonna Ann Mitchell, 43, of North Little Rock died Saturday, April 15, 2006.
She was born March 7, 1963, in Jonesboro. LaDonna worked in management in the telecommunications industry and was a member of Baugh Chapel Baptist Church in Austin. She loved to paint and was a loving, devoted grandmother who put the needs of everyone else above her own.
LaDonna is survived by her mother, Donna Cox Tucker Stewart of North Little Rock and her second "mother," Barbara Smith of North Little Rock. She leaves a daughter, Danielle Mitchell; two sons, Adrian Mitchell and Ricky Mitchell Jr., all of Texas; and four grandchildren. Two brothers, Jimmy Tucker of Paragould and Greg Tucker of Ward, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, also survive her.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, April 17, at Cabot Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at noon Tuesday, April 18, in Oak Ridge Cemetery
at Bono, with Dr. A.B. Hicks officiating.

OIL TROUGH -- Mrs. Lorena Newberry 50, of Oil Trough, formerly of Newport, passed away Friday at her home.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Newberry and wife Jennifer of Oil Trough, and Dennis Hubbard of Hot Springs; three grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Carlyle of Oklahoma; two sisters, Sharon Huggens of Texas and Dorothy Mae Freeman of Newport; and special friend, Kenneth Dawson of Newport.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dillinger Funeral Home. Interment will be in Watson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Dillinger Funeral Home.
Jimmy Layne Price
BROOKLAND -- Jimmy Layne Price, 56, of Brookland died Friday afternoon at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Jonesboro, Jimmy lived all of his life in the Brookland area. He was retired from General Electric Corp. and was a member of the Baptist Church. He served in the Arkansas National Guard as a staff sergeant and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville Howard and Gracie Hedger Price.
Survivors include a sister, Lawanda Sue White of Jonesboro; three brothers, Orville Howard Price Jr. of Nevada, Lowell Thomas Price of Jonesboro and David Ricky Price of Brookland; four nieces, Sondra Scott, Lindsey Miller, Marcia Smart and Vicky Climer; three nephews, Nathan Price, Jeremy White and Mike Price; and several great-nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bill Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery
with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge.
Active pallbearers include Jim Rhea, Duane Price, Danny White, Dale Taylor, Granville Guest and Dean Lamberth.

Opal Lawson Roach
JONESBORO -- Opal Lawson Roach, 97, of Jonesboro died Saturday at Skilcare Nursing Center in Jonesboro. She was born and lived in Jonesboro most of her life.
She and her family owned Jonesboro Lumber Company for 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Rebecca Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Women's Missionary Society, the Baptist Book Club, and Hoe and Hope Garden Club. She was also a graduate of Jonesboro Business College.
She is survived by one daughter, Jimmie Crase of Southaven, Miss.; seven grandchildren, Paula Waldman, Michael Crase, Pat Crase, Randy Crase, Suzanne Calvi, Warren Bagley and Danny Bagley; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude R. Roach Sr.; two sons, Paul Roach and Claude R. Roach Jr.; one grandson, Paxton Roach; one sister, Ruth Marlar; and four brothers, Henry Lawson, Cola Lawson, Otis Lawson and Doc Lawson.
A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Bruce Tippit and Kathy Holler officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 tonight at Gregg Funeral Home.

JONESBORO -- Martha Siket, 59, of Jonesboro died April 16, 2006, at NEA Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, John Siket of Jonesboro; two brothers, Marshall C. Ballard of Bella Vista and Stephen Ballard of Corning; her aunt, Geneva Arnold of Corning; and several nieces and nephews.

Wessie W. Word
TYRONZA -- Wessie W. Word, 97, of Tyronza died Thursday, April 14, 2006, at her home in Tyronza.
She was a retired school teacher for the Tyronza School District, a member of First Baptist Church of Tyronza and the Arkansas Retired Teacher Association.
Mrs. Word was the widow of Grover D. Word and is survived by a son, Kirk Word of Rockbridge Baths, Va.; a sister, Eudine Turner of Memphis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Tyronza First Baptist Church, with services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Tyronza Cemetery.

BURR RIDGE, Ill. -- Dorothy E. Burrow (nee Cossey) of Burr Ridge, Ill., formerly of Walcott, died April 18 at her home.
She was the beloved wife of the late W.H. Burrow; loving mother of Betty Burrow, Dennis (Kathy) Burrow, Phyllis (Berry) Holleman, Ruth (John) Mahoney and the late Roger Burrow; cherished grandmother of Bobby, Alan, Bill, Denise, Karalee, Alisha, Monica, Kristen, Kelly, Megan, Renee and the late Berry; dear sister of J.M. (Belma) Cossey and the late Mary Helen (the late Chuck) Berry.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Sunday in Heath Funeral Home at Paragould. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Michael E. Sartin
JONESBORO -- Michael "Bear" E. Sartin, 56, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at UAMS at Little Rock.
He had lived his entire life in Jonesboro, was an organizer of Jonesboro Bike Night and rode motorcycles for fund-raising for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the March of Dimes. He was a board member for the March of Dimes' Bikers for Babies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Lori Beth Sartin.
Survivors include wife, Sandy Sartin of the home; daughters, Crystal Hobbs of West Monroe, La., Michele Maritinez, West Monroe, and Vanessa Dorton of the home; sister, Pat Case of Denham Springs, La.; six granddaughters; one grandson; five brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Clem Morgan officiating. Burial will be private and Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
