EVENING SHADE -- Harold Dean Rogers, 65, of Evening Shade died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at his home.
He was born Dec. 27, 1940, at Cave City to Herbert Conley and Ruby Audrey Boles Rogers. He was the owner of The Rogers Shop at Evening Shade and of the Baptist faith.
Services are today at 4 p.m. at the Maxville Baptist Church, north of Cave City, with J.L. Weaver and Kendall Weaver officiating. Burial is in Maxville Cemetery, north of Cave City.
Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Marsha Lynn Thomas
BRYAN, Texas -- Marsha Thomas, 53, of Bryan died Monday, April 17, 2006.
She was born in Smithville to John "Willie" and Grace Bolden Russell.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; sons and daughters-in-law, Nelson and Natalie Thomas and Scotty and Megan Thomas; brothers, Glen Russell, Harold and Viola Russell of Jonesboro, J.C. Russell of Smithville, Tom and Twilla Russell, and Wes and Barbara Russell; grandchildren, Steven, Kaden and Shaffer Thomas; and many relatives and friends.
Service is 9:30 this morning at A & M Church of Christ with interment at College Station Cemetery.

Eddie Captoria Weaver
OSCEOLA -- Eddie Captoria Weaver, 92, of Osceola died April 14 at SMC Regional Medical Center in Osceola.
She was born Nov. 3, 1913, at Osceola.
Survivors include two sisters, Anna B. Hudson and Beulah Johnson of Chicago; and a brother, Fred Johnson of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Christion and Ruthie Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at New Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola, with the Rev. Greg Brown officiating. Burial will be in Whiteside Cemetery
in Osceola.
Micah Cade Woodall
LEPANTO -- Micah Cade Woodall, 17, of Lepanto died Friday, April 21, 2006, in an automobile accident near Marked Tree.
He was valedictorian of his graduating class at EPC, a member of the Honor Society and FFA and played football. He attended Lepanto Church of God and First Baptist Church. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Charlotte Woodall of Lepanto; one brother, Cody Woodall of Lepanto; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Woodall of Caraway; and his maternal grandparents, Ellis and Shelby Dillon of Lepanto.
Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Murphy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Pankey and Chris Stiles officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Raines, Colby Newell, Justin Tacker, Bryan Steakley, Tim Nash and John Truelove. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron Gean and Justin Long.
Burial will follow in Potter Memorial Cemetery
in Lepanto.
Herschel Baldwin
PARAGOULD -- Herschel Baldwin, 77 of Paragould died Saturday, April 22, 2006 in Jonesboro. Mr. Baldwin was a retired carpenter and a member of the Christ United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Baldwin of the home; one son, Mike Baldwin of Seattle; one son-in-law, Ronnie Brown of Paragould; one sister, Reba Pillow of Paragould; four grandchildren, Josh and Matthew Baldwin, both of Pocahontas, Kinon Brown of Paragould, and Rende Stokes and her husband, Andy Stokes, of Paragould; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis Baldwin of Pocahontas, and Abbie, Kylie and Averie Stokes, all of Paragould.
Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by his parents, Cloyce and Retha Baldwin; one son, Robbie Baldwin; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Brown; and one stepson, Rickie Thomason.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church with Bro. Michael Sutton officiating. Private burial services will be conducted later.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Relay for Life or the charity of your choice. Honorary pallbearers will include Mr. Baldwin's Sunday school class.

TRUMANN -- Shelby L. Bishop, 62, of Trumann died Saturday afternoon at her residence of natural causes.

Charlcie Irwin
LAMBERT, Miss. -- Charlcie Irwin, 84, of Lambert, Miss., died Friday, April 21, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Miss.
She lived in Northeast Arkansas and moved to Mississippi in 1964. She was a housewife and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hinchcliff, Miss.
Survivors include three sons, J.R. Irwin, Gary Irwin, and Jerry Irwin, all of Batesville, Miss., one daughter, Marilyn "Diane" Smith of Eudora, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Simmons and Amo McKay Simmons; husband, Riley Irwin; two sisters; one brother; two daughters, Barbara Harvey and Shirley Myrick; and one son, Wayne Irwin.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Pine Log Cemetery
with Carl McKinney officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

JONESBORO -- James W. "Sonny" Roberts, 62, of Jonesboro died Saturday morning at his home of natural causes.

Charles Ernest Robinson
WYNNE -- Charles Ernest Robinson, 83, of Wynne died Saturday at his son's residence in Southaven, Miss.
He was a retired carpenter, a Baptist, a veteran of the Army Air Corps in World War II, and he enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred K. Ison Robinson of the home; a son, Charles R. Robinson of Southaven; a daughter, Connie K. Carl of Tucumcari, N.M.; a brother, Staney Robinson of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Johnson Cemetery
at Wynne. George Fink will officiate under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne.
Robbie Nell Weems
TRUMANN -- Mrs. Robbie Nell Weems, 86, of Trumann died Friday afternoon at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mrs. Weems was born in Pontotoc, Miss., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She and her husband J.L. owned and operated Weems Lumber Company and Weems Motel for many years and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Luther "J.L." Weems Jr. who died in 1986; one son, John L. Weems III; one brother, Dexter Matthews; and she was the daughter of the late Lon and Ludie McMurry Matthews.
She is survived by one daughter, Laura Walton of Trumann; one son, Dr. Alan Weems of Mandeville, La.; four sisters, Lou Donald Dudley of Trumann, Wilma Dene Pope of Diamondhead, Miss., Lonnie Frank Armstrong of Lake City, and Beth Martin of Memphis; one brother, Neil Matthews of West Fork; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Shelby Bishop
TRUMANN -- Shelby L. Bishop, 62, of Trumann died Saturday afternoon at her residence of natural causes.
Born in Jonesboro, Mrs. Bishop lived most of her life in the Jonesboro-Trumann area. She worked several years for Parker-Hannifin and Salant and Salant in Trumann before becoming disabled.
She attended First Baptist Church in Trumann and was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ada Newberry Gentry; a sister, Naomi Woods; and a brother, Bill Gentry.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Singleton of Jonesboro; three daughters, Tina Wrinkle of Jonesboro, Reginia Raines of Weiner and Sandy Springer of Cardwell, Mo.; five sisters, Shirley Hensley of Harrisburg, Janie Melton of Swifton, and Rosetta Dean, Myra Scercy and Kathy Gould, all of Jonesboro; 10 grandchildren, Johna Davis, Daniel Singleton, Brooke Johnson, Jeff Williams, Renee Brown, Gary Wrinkle Jr., James Bishop, Amanda Manley, Codi Raines and Dustin Bishop; and nine great-grandchildren, Braden Melton, Evan Davis, Chloe Johnson, Trey Johnson, Jaxton Williams, Murphy Williams, Jaedyn Brown, Jaecie Brown and Kaylin Joyner.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Nettleton Cemetery
with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating.
Pallbearers include Ronnie Holt, Codi Raines, Calvin Raines, Allen Gould, Scott Brown and Rusty Spurlock.

John Churchwell
JONESBORO -- John Carroll Churchwell, 87, of Jonesboro died Saturday in Jonesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Posie Churchwell of Jonesboro; three daughters, Carol Simpson and husband Bob of Gepp, Diane Young and husband Gary Don of Hornersville, Mo., and Paula Knight and husband Jim of Wabbaseka; two sisters, June Fiser and Ruby Henson; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Jackson's Funeral Home.
