Margaret W. Haynes

BLYTHEVILLE -- Margaret Haynes, 88, of Blytheville, the widow of Ernest F. Haynes, died Monday at her home. She was a lifelong Blytheville resident and member of First United Methodist Church.

She leaves her son, Robert Haynes of Orlando, Fla.; daughters, Sandi Dennis of Blytheville and Margaret Ann Holstead of Elizabethtown, Ky.; sisters, Mary Gray of Blytheville and Virginia Wacaser of Memphis; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church at Blytheville with visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday in Cobb Funeral Home.

Barbara King

BLYTHEVILLE -- Barbara Nelson King, 62, of Blytheville, died Monday in South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center at Osceola.

She leaves her mother, Lucille Tittle Nelson of Gosnell; children, Lisa and Stork Woodruff of Little Rock, Larry Wayne King Jr. and his fiancee Donna of Blytheville, and Kim and Randy Price of Gosnell; brother and sisters, Gary Nelson, Kay Maynard and Terri Nelson Razor, all of Blytheville; and 11 grandchildren.

Graveside services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville with visitation from noon-1 p.m. prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Home.

Joseph Kurowski

BAY -- Joseph Kurowski, 90, of Bay died Monday in Riverview, Mich., where he had resided for the past few months.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Lezzie Kurowski, last year.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Velia Doris Montgomery

PIGGOTT -- Velia Doris Montgomery, 73, of Piggott passed away on May 13, 2006.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Burnine and Gaylon Montgomery.

She is survived by three daughters, Shelia Burnine of Piggott, Shirley Glass of Piggott and June Jones of Pollard; and five grandchildren, John, Seth, Zackery, Veronica and Raelyn.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 18, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the Hoggard Chapel in Piggott with Jerry Massey officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway.

Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is 6 p.m. today.

Mildred Evelyn Roedel

JONESBORO -- Mildred Evelyn Roedel, 85, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, in St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Eugene Copeland

PARAGOULD -- Eugene Copeland, 87, of Paragould was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Greene County and passed away Sunday, June 11, 2006, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Copeland; four sons and their wives, James Albert and Betty Jean Copeland of Marmaduke, and Raymond and Lois Copeland, Bryant and Kathy Copeland and Sgt. 1st Class Ronnie and Cynthia Copeland, all of Paragould.

He is also survived by three daughters and their husbands, Roxie and Laymon Ellis of Lafe, Dora and James Smith of Oak Grove Heights and Diane and Jim Partin of Lafayette, Tenn.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mabel Rattler of St. Louis, Tina and George Smith and Frankie Mae and Lavernin Russom, all of Paragould; 25 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Carrie Copeland, and by two brothers, Bud and Delbert Copeland.

An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Copeland was a farmer and retired dragline operator. He was a member of Stonewall Baptist Church, and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors and was an avid duck hunter. He will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Providence Baptist Church with Everett Isom officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.

Mark Smith, Mike Garred, DeWayne Ellis, Raymond Copeland, Matt Copeland and Sgt. 1st Class Ronnie Copeland will serve as pallbearers. Gerald Ellis, Richard Ellis, Greg Ellis, Ray Copeland, Steve Copeland, James Partin, Mike Murphy, Anita McClard, R.N., SFC Stacy Caughlin, Brittany Copeland and Jeff Copeland will be honorary pallbearers.

Zelma D. Cox

OAKLAND, Ill. -- Zelma Cox, 101, of Oakland, Ill., passed away at 3 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006, at her home near Oakland.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Bay Village Cemetery in Bay. Taber Funeral Home in Oakland, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.

Zelma was born on Aug. 11, 1904, in Bay Village, the daughter of O.A. and Anna Bradsher Dobson. On Dec. 27, 1925, she married Clarence Cox in Marked Tree, and he died in 1977.

Survivors include 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Gracie Ellen James Crow

CAVE CITY -- Gracie Ellen James Crow, 79, of Cave City died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville.

She was born July 28, 1926, at Mobley to Virgil and Zola Crabtree James. She was retired from International Shoe Company and a member of the Mount View Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. today at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City. Burial will follow in the Ball Cemetery located southeast of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Charles Edward Delcoure

ATCHISON, Kan. -- Charles Edward "Chuck" Delcoure, 32, of Atchison, Kan., former Jonesboro resident, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at his residence in Kansas.

Born Jan. 18, 1974, in Bellflower, Calif., Mr. Delcoure attended school in Craighead County and was a Jonesboro High School graduate. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a residential and commercial construction worker and a member of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his mother, Gale Thomas of Paragould; stepfather, Johnny Eidson of Jonesboro; wife, Jenny Delcoure of Jonesboro; one son, Jarred Delcoure of Jonesboro; one daughter, Sarah Delcoure of Jonesboro; one brother, Chris Ruffin of Paragould; four aunts, Sharon Pinkston of Jonesboro, Connie Parker of Jonesboro, Terry Cullen of Jonesboro and Norma Timms of Lake City; three uncles, Ronnie Way of Memphis, Kerry Bowman of Hobant, Ind., and Gilbert Hughes of Modesto, Calif.; several cousins and a host of friends and extended family.

Mr. Delcoure is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at First Baptist Church of Caraway.

Services will be Wednesday, June 14, at First Baptist Church in Caraway with the Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery at Jonesboro with Faith Funeral Services of Manila in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers include Kyle Bowman, Robbie Parker, Shawn Miller, Glen Cullen, James Garison and John Eidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Utley, Gary Timms and Geno Vankirk.

James Webster Gibson

HORSESHOE BEND -- James Webster Gibson, 71, of Horseshoe Bend died June 9, 2006, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 24, 1934, in Columbus, Miss.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Brenda Diaz of Florence, Ore., and Virginia Edwards of Las Vegas; one brother, Howard Gibson Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Celeste Skibbe of Mountain Home; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Gibson Jr.; and one brother, Charles Gibson.

No services are planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.

Margaret G. Harris

OSCEOLA -- Margaret G. Harris, 51, of Osceola died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at her home.

Survivors include one brother, Gerald Harris of Osceola; one sister, Henrietta Childress of Osceola; three nieces, Leann Harris, Laura Childress and Kathy Ann Childress, all of Osceola; and one nephew, Gerald Harris Jr., also of Osceola.

Graveside services will be held at 2 today at Oak Grove Cemetery in Eudora, Miss.

Roller-Swift Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mattie Lee Kagen

GRUBBS -- Mattie Lee Kagen, 84, of Grubbs died Sunday.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Kagen; son, Lloyd Dale Kagen; and a sister.

She is survived by sons, Clyde Parson and wife Lynda and Hershel Kagen and wife Mary; daughter, Marie Adcox and husband Darrell; sister, Ivie Mross; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Tuckerman. Burial is at Pennington Cemetery.

Visitation is tonight from 6-8.

Arrangements are by Dillinger Funeral Home.

Olive Piland

PIGGOTT -- Olive Piland, 94, of Piggott passed away June 10, 2006, in the Piggott Community Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boman Ralph Piland, three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by one son, Harold Piland of Piggott; one daughter, June Causey of Blytheville; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nila Austin.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, at 2 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel. Burial will be in the Piggott Cemetery.

Visitation will be held tonight at 6 at the funeral home.
