Mackie Dean Rodgers

SALEM -- Mackie Dean Rodgers, 68, formerly of Southaven, Miss., died Sunday, July 15, 2006, at Salem.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Parker Rodgers; three daughters, Wendy (Robert) Copous, Tracie (David) Bannon and Kelly Rodgers; two sisters, Margie Klinger and Deborah Smith; a brother, Fred Rodgers; six grandchildren, Steve Copous, Kevin Copous, Tommy Copous, Tyler (Carrie) Bannon, Shelly Bannon and Valerie Bannon.

Mr. Rodgers retired from Kellogg's.

Services will be Wednesday at 12 p.m. at Forrest Hill Funeral Home South.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Patricia (Brewer) Teague

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Patricia (Brewer) Teague, 54, of Evansville, Ind., died Sunday.

Survivors include her husband, David Teague of Indiana; three sons, Joshua Burrow of Brookport, Ill., David Adam Teague and Barton Teague, both of Thayer, Mo.; one daughter, Jamie Brewer of Evansville, Ind.; her mother, Janice Brewer of Newark; two brothers; two sisters; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Jackson's Newark Funeral Home at Newark.

Interment will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lucille Allen

JONESBORO -- Lucille Allen, 96, of Jonesboro died peacefully at home on Saturday, July 15.

She is survived by three sons, Dr. William Allen of Jonesboro, Sidney Allen of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Robert Allen of Scottsdale, Ariz.; five grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Page Allen.

Mrs. Allen will be buried in Tuscaloosa on Thursday, July 20. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Heritage Chapel Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Bernard's Hospice at Jonesboro.

Larry Dean Cole

MANILA -- Larry Dean Cole, 46, of Manila died Saturday, July 15, in Great River Medical Center at Blytheville.

Born at Leachville, he had been a lifelong Manila area resident and was a self-employed cotton ginner and gin repairman.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, C.W. and Hatie Mae Moore, and Jim and Elsie Cole.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Linda Long Cole of the home; one son, Chris Cole of Manila; two daughters, Christina Petty of Leachville and Courtney Shumate of Manila; his parents, Justin Adam and Barbra Jean Moore Cole of Collierville, Tenn.; two brothers, Justin Cole of Leachville and Russell Cole of Madisonville, La.; three sisters, Teresa Pierpoali and Regina Wells, both of Memphis, and Tammy Hemphll of Williston, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Howard Funeral Chapel at Manila with the Rev. Graig Stull officiating.

Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 tonight in the funeral home.

Lorene Crump

NORTH LITTLE ROCK -- Lorene Crump, 72, of North Little Rock died Thursday evening in Baptist Medical Center at North Little Rock.

She had lived in North Little Rock for the past 18 years, having moved from Jonesboro where she had lived 30 years.

She was a retired clerk at TG&Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elsie Gilbert Keen; her husband, John Crump; and one sister.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Louise Crump of Jonesboro; her daughter, Debbie Emmerson of North Little Rock; three brothers, L.T. Keen of Texas, and Edward Keen and Lloyd Keen, both of West Memphis; one sister, Virgie Prince of West Memphis; and three grandchildren, Joshua Crump, Jim Emerson and Jacob Emerson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to The American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road, N.E., Atlanta 30329.

Albert T. Kopert

JONESBORO -- Albert T. Kopert, 88, of Jonesboro died July 16, 2006, in St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born in Casa, he lived in Jonesboro for 57 years, moving here from Little Rock.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a retired businessman and a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor's degree in business. He was a B-17 Bomber pilot in the Army Air Force.

Kopert was a past member of the Jonesboro School Board, Arkansas State Better Business Bureau board, chairman of the administrative board at First United Methodist Church, president of the Arkansas Dairy Association, Downtown Lions Club, and a board member of Northeast Arkansas Symphony.

Survivors include his wife, Alma Jean Kopert of the home; three daughters, Karen Meeks of Caruthersville, Mo., Gretchen Campbell of Houston, Texas, and Olivia Griggs of Story City, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church at Jonesboro with the Rev. John Miles officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be the First United Methodist Church Men's Bible Class.

Visitation will be from 5-7 tonight in Emerson Funeral Home at Jonesboro.

The family asked that lasting memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church organ fund, or charity of your choice.

William 'Bill' Miller

JONESBORO -- William B. "Bill" Miller, 67, of Jonesboro died Saturday afternoon, July 15, 2006, at his home of natural causes.

Born at Wabash in Phillips County, Mr. Miller lived several years in Trumann before moving to Jonesboro in 1978. He worked several years for Crowley's Ridge Development Council before retiring in March. He attended the University of Arkansas and was a graduate of Arkansas State University with an accounting degree.

Bill was a member of Community Fellowship Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Martha Hightower Miller; and by a brother, K.T. Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Lemmons Miller of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Allen Lemmons and Chuck and Christy Lemmons, all of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha-Gail and B.K. Maynard of Campbellsville, Ky.; one brother, Lawrence Miller of Hewitt, Texas; and two cousins, Murray Hightower and Bobby Hightower.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Community Fellowship Church with Rex Holt, Dave Burgess and Worth Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers include Marty Algee, Bart Morrison, Steven Bryan, Billy Cambell, Murray Hightower, Bobby Hightower, Michael Haughey, John Ollis, Caleb Delaney, Josh Martin and Brandon Martin.

Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight in Emerson Funeral Home.

Mary Ann Morgan

LYNN -- Mary Ann Morgan, 88, of Lynn died Saturday, July 16, in Jonesboro.

She was born Aug. 4, 1917, at Swifton, to John and Ida Price. She married Fred Morgan on Feb. 17, 1937, at Lynn. She was a homemaker and a member of Lynn Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Morgan of the home; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday graveside in Dry Creek Cemetery near Lynn with J.P. Morgan officiating.

Arrangements are by Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge.

Eunice Nolte

PARAGOULD -- Eunice Anges Nolte, 91, of Paragould died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Paragould Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 8, 1914, in Boydsville, she was a homemaker and member of Paragould First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Jane Holifield of Rector; four nieces, Shirley Morton of Collinsville, Ill., Phyllis Misee of Conway, Jean Miles of Little Rock and Glenda Long of Beebe; seven nephews, Jerry Hamilton of Oxford, Miss., Kenneth Hamilton, Jack Hamilton and Jim Hamilton, all of Paragould, Larry Holifield of Little Rock, Danny Holifield of Rector and Cecil Holifield of Blytheville.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, at Mitchell Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Shane Baker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hamilton, Jordan Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Larry Holifield, Jack Hamilton and Nathan Hamilton.
