Heidi Marie Neumann
HAYESVILLE, N.C. -- Heidi Marie Neumann, 38, daughter and stepdaughter of Fred C. and Anne Neumann of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Hayesville.
Heidi was born at Mobile, Ala., on March 14, 1968. She was a retired neurosurgical assistant and published poet. She was the mother of two children, Meaghan and Mitchell; and grandmother of one child, Alyson.
Interment will be later in Preston, Iowa.

Reba N. Hook
LAKE CITY -- Mrs. Reba N. Hook, 80, of Lake City died at St. Bernard's Medical Center on Friday, Sept. 1.
Reba was born in Calico Rock to Amos and Mary Gladys McSpadden Staggs. She married her husband of 58 years, Bill Hook, on July 24, 1945. Reba was a retired bookkeeper for Delta Farms at Lake City and a member of First Baptist Church in Lake City, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a Bible study leader.
Survivors include two sons, Gary D. Hook of Jones, Okla., and Mike Hook of Lake City; three sisters, Mary Lee Manis of Springfield, Mo., and Jean Staggs and Joan Carter, both of Jonesboro; a brother, Billy Staggs of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Jamie Hook, Julie Largent, Bryan Hook, Brad Hook, Emilee Hook and Casey Hook; and 45 great-grandchildren.
Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hook, in 2003; a son, Billy D. Hook; two sisters, Janette Rutherford and Madge Anderson; as well as her parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Lake City with the Rev. Ron Langston officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park. Langford-Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro has charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons of the Monette First Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will include Bobby Woods, Charlie Sefers, Arlon Woodruff, Donald Timms, Vaunda Bowers, Oliver Armstrong, D.D. Qualls, William Flynn and Danny Qualls.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home, 1900 West Washington Ave., Jonesboro.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lake City.
Wilda Amelia Hutton
MANILA -- Mrs. Wilda Amelia Hutton, 73, of Manila died Saturday, Sept. 2, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born at Manila, she was the daughter of the late Epter and Mae Ashabranner Hutton and a lifelong resident of Manila. She retired after 35 years with the Mississippi County Equal Opportunity Commission.
She was a graduate of Manila High School and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, C.M. Hutton of the home; a son, Randy Hutton; a daughter, Rhonda Noel; a grandson, David Hutton, all of Manila; and a sister, Virginia Foley of Cabot.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila, with the Rev. William Plercy officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Walton, Jason Walton, Greg Smith, Brent Farmer, Ronnie Williams and Freddie Whistle.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Margaret Poe
POCAHONTAS -- Margaret Poe, 85, passed away at NEA Hospital at Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Poe; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her son, Jim Poe of Jonesboro; one grandson, James Poe of Fayetteville; and one great-grandson, Logan Poe.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Leta Jackson Thomas
EARLE -- Leta Jackson Thomas, 93, of Earle died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, in Johnson-Hudson Care Home at Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Thomas; two sons, Jimmy and Paul Thomas; daughter, Linda Shidler; and her parents, Wesley and Calista Jackson.
Survivors include her son, Don Thomas of Earle; sister, Cora Milton of West Memphis; and four grandchildren, Mike, Mark, Mitch and Jay.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. today in Harris Chapel Cemetery
in Wynne under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Marjorie Alberta Walker
NEWPORT -- Marjorie Alberta (Davenport) Walker, 89, of Newport died Thursday, Aug. 31.
She was born July 6, 1917.
She is survived by sons John Walker Jr. and wife Linda, and Richard Walker and wife Beth; sister, Jean Roberts and husband Dick; grandchildren, Beverly Haggard, Becky Walker, Rob Walker, John Walker III and Laura King; and great-grandchildren, Jared Haggard, Reed Haggard, Madison Walker and Elizabeth Walker.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday in First Assembly of God. Interment will be in Gracelawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight.

Vardaman Bilbo Bridges
MARION -- Vardaman Bilbo Bridges, 95, of Marion died Saturday, Oct. 21.
He was a retired farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Lee Robertson.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Hunt and Opal Diane Hamilton; three sons, Charles Bridges, Jimmy Lee Bridges and Eddie Bridges; a sister, Opal Strickland; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wilson Funeral Home at Osceola, with Mike Welch officiating. Burial will be in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 5-9 tonight at the funeral home.

JONESBORO -- Kenny Clark, 34, of Jonesboro died early Sunday morning, Oct. 22, 2006.

Jimmie Ensley
BOONVILLE, Ind. -- Jimmie Ensley, 72, of Boonville died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006.
He was the son of Charles William and Nellie (Martin) Ensley.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Angela "Ann" Ensley of Boonville; son, Dirk Ensley and wife Melinda of Lynnville, Ind.; daughter, Colleen Millar and husband Jeff of Peoria, Ill.; three grandchildren, Samantha, Ashley and Mekinna; sister, May Holt of Tuckerman; and many relatives and friends.
Services are 10 a.m. today in Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment is in Cheshier Cemetery.
Visitation was from 5-9 Sunday night.
Joe Allen Harp
PARAGOULD -- Joe Allen Harp, 42, of Paragould passed away early Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born Jan. 4, 1964, in Jonesboro, the son of James B. and Martha Janice Selvidge Harp Jr., Mr. Harp was a computer programmer for Teleflora and a member of Church of Christ Center Hill.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ervin Roy and Essie Marie Selvidge.
Mr. Harp is survived by his parents, James B. and Martha Harp Jr. of Hoxie; two brothers, Jeff Harp of Hoxie and James A. Harp of Paragould; his paternal grandparents, Baudie and Ruth L. Harp of Hoxie; four nephews, James Bradley Harp, Travis, Tanner and Blaine Middlecoff, all of Hoxie; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at 2 p.m. in Center Hill Church of Christ with Gary Cremeens and Darrell Douglas officiating.
Those serving as active pallbearers will be Greg Hogue, Bill Moore, Calvin Jones, Brad Beasley, Shannon Simpson, Tom Stickle, Danny West and Darren Shirley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Wheat, David Coker, Steve Parker, Randy Blanton, Mike Archer, John Petersen, James Pickney, Barry Greenway, Eric Reddick and David Trantham.
Interment will be in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
