Agnes I. Hart

POCAHONTAS — Agnes I. Hart, 98, died Thursday, Sept. 6, in Randolph Home.

She was born Sept. 13, 1908, at Pittsfield, Ill., to the late George Washington and Ida Rosella Howe Garrett. On Oct. 2, 1929, she married Virgil Hart, who preceded her in death in March 1979.

Three brothers, Russell Garrett, Oren Garrett and George Garrett; and three sisters, Mae Davidson, Bertha Straube and Lydia Garrett also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hart was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Pocahontas for 34 years, retiring in 1972. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and visiting with her friends. She was a loving wife and a very special aunt to all her nieces and nephews.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Pocahontas.

Survivors include three nieces, Nancy Schramm of Las Vegas, Judy Rose of Quincy, Ill., and Linda Sederwall of North Hollywood, Calif.; five nephews, Ed Garrett of Lincoln, Neb., Robert Riggs of Springfield, Ill., Richard Sederwall of Quincy, Robert Sederwall of Springfield, Mo., and John Sederwall of Akron, Ohio.

She is also survived by nine great-nieces, Judy Harrison of Greenville, Ill., Cheryl Dreon of Marion, Ill., Sarah Rose of Quincy, Lori Breugmann of Arvada, Colo., Lisa Crastina of Ozark, Mo., Krista Sederwall of Virginia Beach, Va., Laura Riggs of Springfield, Ill., Dawn Rocheleau of Las Vegas and Tami Garrett of Millford, Ohio; and seven great-nephews, Barry Riggs of Springfield, Ill., Darren Sederwall of West Orange, N.J., Grant Sederwall of Nixa, Mo., Bryan Sederwall of Arvada, Michael Garrett of Sweetwater, Tenn., Marc Garrett of Des Moines, Iowa, and Scott Garrett of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be from 5-8 Monday evening in McNabb Funeral Home with services at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Pittsfield Cemetery at Pittsfield.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Pocahontas.

Albert Sydney Knipple

HOXIE — Albert Sydney Knipple, 77, died Thursday, Sept. 6, at Jonesboro.

He had lived in Hoxie for 30 years, moving from Memphis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict, a truck driver and member of Portia Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Corrine Wallace Knipple; a brother, Edward; and sister, Phyllis.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda of the home; sons, Paul Knipple of Memphis and Robert Owen of Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Lisa Johnson of Walnut Ridge; brothers, Harold and James, both of Tennessee, and Kenneth of Mississippi; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge with Robert Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery near Bono.

Visitation will be this evening from 5:30-8 in the funeral home.

Carolyn Sue Lloyd

JONESBORO — Mrs. Carolyn Sue Lloyd, 60, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Sept. 4, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Mrs. Lloyd was born Sept. 4, 1947, in Pine Bluff. She was the daughter of Marion and Mary West Crouse and was a member of Greensboro Road Church of Christ in Jonesboro.

Mrs. Lloyd married Homer A. Lloyd Jr. in 1964. He survives her along with two daughters, Melanie Lloyd of Jonesboro and Renee and husband Ralf Beilhardt stationed in Ramstein, Germany; two brothers, Rick Crouse of Jonesboro and Mike Crouse of Forrest City; and a granddaughter, Courtney Brown of Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Marion Allen Lloyd.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Stevens Funeral Home at Forrest City. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Keith McDonald

FISHER — Mr. Keith McDonald, 57, of Fisher died Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Jonesboro.

Mr. McDonald is survived by his parents, Robert and Mildred McDonald of Fisher; two daughters, Tisha Deen of Fayetteville and Tia Caraway of Jonesboro; one sister, Jeannette Deere of Redwood, Miss.; one niece, Denise Wright of Fisher; and great-nephew, Chase Blagg of Fisher.

Funeral services will be today at 10 a.m. in Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Llano Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Fisher Cemetery.

Arrangements by Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home.

Jessie David Snow

LEACHVILLE — Jessie David Snow, 71, of Leachville, formerly of Monette, died Thursday, Sept. 6, at his home.

Born at McCrory, he was the son of the late Ben and Agnes Snow and had been a Monette resident before making his home in Leachville. He was a longtime commercial fisherman and farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Moser.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Gladys Stone Snow of Leachville; and brother, Arlin Snow of Trumann.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Leachville Cemetery with Billy Allen officiating under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.

The family will receive visitors Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Robert Taylor Stuckey

TRUMANN — Mr. Robert Taylor Stuckey, 49, died Friday morning at Hernando, Miss., of natural causes.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Lee Allan Bowman

WEST MEMPHIS — Lee Allan Bowman of West Memphis passed away at his home Friday afternoon surrounded by friends and family.

Lee was born March 7, 1934, in Monette to Melvin Carl Bowman, the justice of the peace and town barber, and Bessie Lee (Blankenship) Bowman, a school teacher. Lee joined the Marine Corps after graduation from Monette High School and served in Korea where he earned a Purple Heart. He was an avid fisherman with a passion for farming and all things agricultural. In the 1970s his company, Big River Honda, was one of the world’s largest motorcycle dealerships.

He was a 32nd degree Mason, a lifelong member of the Sportsman Club in West Memphis and a regular member of an ongoing card game at the West Memphis Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bowman and daughter Anna, both of West Memphis; his sons, Alan Bowman of Bronxville, N.Y., and Bryan Bowman of West Memphis from his first marriage to Nancy Bowman of Memphis; his sister, Mary Francis Wheeler of Memphis; and two grandchildren, Madigan and Ruby Bowman.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. in Roller-Citizens at West Memphis.

Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Douglas Coleman

Paragould — Douglas Eugene Coleman, 74, of Paragould died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Mr. Coleman spent 22 years as a plant supervisor for Coca-Cola Company of Jonesboro. He was also an equipment appraiser and retired farmer. He was an active member of Bethel Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and one daughter-in-law.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marcella Coleman of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary and Belinda Coleman and Jerry Coleman, all of Paragould; one granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Tom Miller of Greer, S.C.; three grandsons, Jeremy Coleman, Jason Coleman and his wife Laura, all of Paragould, and Josh Coleman of San Antonio; one great-granddaughter, Jaden Miller of Greer; two more great-grandchildren arriving soon; four brothers, J.D. Coleman of Black Oak, Aaron Coleman Jr. of Stanford and Glen Coleman and Frank Coleman, both of Paragould; one sister, Bonnie Cass of Niles, Mich.; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 Monday evening in Heath Funeral Home.

His life will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Heath Colonial Chapel with L.R. Smith and Lonnie Pyle officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Bethel Church of Christ Building Fund.

Howard L. Fincher

WILSON — Howard L. Fincher Jr., 81, of Wilson died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, in Wilson.

Born Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1926, in Bodcaw to the late Howard Lee Fincher Sr. and Velma Ivy Lee Fincher, he was a member of Osceola Church of Christ, a Navy WWII veteran and a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Betty Fincher of the home; one son, Mark Fincher of Dyess; three daughters, Gewnda Cissell of Bassett, Lynn Smith and Joy Shempert, both of Dyess; three stepdaughters, Sammy Floyd of Austin, Pam Holmes of Jackson, Tenn., and Neba Thompson of Lakeland, Tenn.; two stepsons, Adrian Davis of Blytheville and Lynn Frost of Bartlett, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 47 years, Evelyn Fincher; one brother, Dorsey Ray Fincher; and one sister, Georgia Witcher.

Visitation was held Saturday in Roller-Swift Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in Osceola Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Potters Cemetery in Lepanto with David Sweet officiating.

Genevieve Gray

MARKED TREE — Genevieve Gray, 81, of Marked Tree died in the Three Rivers Nursing Center on Saturday, Sept. 8.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Ricky Gray and his wife Sherry of Marked Tree; three brothers, Jimmy McDaniel and Charles McDaniel of San Angelo, Texas, and Bobby McDaniel of Bay; two grandchildren, Jennifer Chase and her husband Shane, and Matthew Gray and his fiancee Chelsa Wileman; and one great-grandson, Zach Chase.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Murphy Funeral Home with Patrick Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 tonight in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gaylon, Jim, Mike, Tyler McDaniel, George Willoughby and Larry Neal.
