Glendean Daggett
LITTLE ROCK — Glendean Daggett, 79, of Little Rock, formerly of Osceola and Caraway, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Cord to the late Esker and Bessie Bearden. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother to her children and many more. Her home and heart was always open to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Wayne Daggett, two brothers, two sisters and two step-sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Mala Joy Daggett of North Little Rock; two sons, Mitchell Daggett of Fort Worth, Texas, and Timothy Daggett of North Little Rock; and she was very proud of her one grandson, Hunter Daggett of Forth Worth.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Osceola Church of Christ with the David Sweet officiating. Burial will follow in Caraway Cemetery
under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
The family invites friends and family to continue celebrating Mrs. Daggett’s life after the services at the Masonic Lodge in Caraway.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Larry Pendergraft, Larry Courtney, Mike Butler, John Howington, John Calvert and Donnie Johnson.
Visitation will be tonight, 6:30-8:30, at the Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
The family requests lasting memorials be given to the Osceola Church of Christ.
Marcus Dennis
WYNNE — Marcus Dennis, 66, of Wynne died Friday.
He was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Wynne, son of James and Gurly Dennis. He married Miss Wanda Sue Westmoreland.
Dennis enjoyed the outdoors and retired as a commercial truck driver.
Survivors include wife, Wanda; sons, Richard and Mark Dennis; daughters, Carla and Sherry Dennis; brothers, J.C., Clarence and Bobby Lee; sister, Jewell; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with interment in Loughridge Cemetery
in Colt.
Visitation will be tonight, 6-9, at the funeral home.
Pauline Dutton
NEWPORT — Pauline Dutton, 69, of Newport died Friday.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dutton, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include sons, Dean and Lisa Dutton of Paragould and Rick and Terri Dutton of Missouri; daughter, Malinda and Bobby Hall of Mississippi; brother, Earl Stoner of Macks; sisters, Gladys Warren and Thelma Harmon, both of Newport; grandchildren, Wesley Spencer, Jenny Dutton Folden, Anggi Dutton, Shawna Frayley, Jonathan Dutton, Tamara Dutton and Lindsey Spencer; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Dillinger Chapel with burial in White Church Cemtery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the Dillinger Funeral Home.
Rayford Carroll Fisher
JONESBORO — Rayford Carroll Fisher, 70, departed this life on Sept. 21, 2007, at his home. He was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Memphis to Willie and Minnie Rook Fisher and was a retired manager for Stone Container and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and also performed volunteer work for the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church, where he was a group leader in the youth ministries, Awana Club and was the fifth-grade assistant Sunday school teacher.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Fisher.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wilma Fisher of the home; one son, Tony Fisher of Mountain Home; one daughter, Monica Dobbins of Ohio; his mother, Pauline Fisher of Jonesboro; two brothers, Gary Fisher and Stanley Fisher, both of Jonesboro; one sister, Joy Hodges of Paragould; stepchildren, Anna Wade of Arkadelphia, Teresa Varughese of Houston, James Hatley of Jonesboro and Michael Hatley of Prescott; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Walnut Street Baptist Church with Dr. Glen Putman officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Ray has asked that lasting memorial be given to the Walnut Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 1910 Scenic Drive, Jonesboro, 72401.
Miss Wilma Heeb
HARRISBURG — Miss Wilma Ella Heeb of Harrisburg departed this life Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at the Jonesboro Healthcare Center in Jonesboro at the age of 96. She was born Sept. 15, 1911, in Chaffee, Mo., the daughter of August Martin Heeb and Matilda Pobst Heeb. Wilma was a homemaker and lived her entire life caring for others. She never married, but along with her sister Freda, cared for her parents and helped raise six generations of children. She loved to sew. She enjoyed baking and fishing. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Herman Heeb, Carroll Heeb, Raymond Heeb, Clarence “Shorty” Heeb, Loy “John” Heeb and Alfred “Dode” Heeb; and three sisters, Emma O’Bannon, Leona Emerick and Freda Heeb.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Helen Heeb and Berneda Heeb, both of Harrisburg; seven nieces and two nephews; 10 great-nieces; eight great-nephews; and many great-great and great-great-great nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Weston Funeral Service Chapel at Harrisburg with the Rev. Charles Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time.
Feldon Humphries
HARRISBURG — Feldon Humphries, 80, of Harrisburg died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, in Jonesboro.
He was born May 1, 1927, the son of A.M. and Gertrude Humphries.
He is survived by brother, Buford Humphries of Jonesboro; three sisters, Mavis Hampton of Cabot, Inez Lillard of Smithville and Betty Murrell of Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at the Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Captain Lovell officiating. Interment will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be tonight, 6-8.

JONESBORO — J.C. Peppers, 71, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

James L. “Buck” Riley
TUCKERMAN — James L. “Buck” Riley of Tuckerman died Saturday.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LeAnn Riley; parents, Eli and Cordelia Riley; and two sisters, Lorene Faircloth and Willie Walker.
Survivors include one sister, Hazel Patton of Mississippi and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday 10 a.m. at Dillinger Chapel with burial in Gracelawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Dillinger Funeral Home.
Bessie Rutledge
THIDA — Bessie Rutledge, 86, of Thida died Saturday.
She was a charter member of Blackland Freewill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd “Booker” Rutledge; parents, Arthur and Nettie (Price) Webb; brother, Hayden Webb; and sister, Dessie Freeman.
Survivors include daughter, Joyce and Max Crabtree of Thida; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blackland Freewill Baptist Church with burial in Browns Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Dillinger Funeral Home.
Weldon Sandberg
JONESBORO — Weldon Sandberg, 62, of Jonesboro died Friday afternoon at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Houston, Texas, Weldon grew up in Austin, Texas. He lived in Harlingen, Texas, before moving to Jonesboro in 1999.
He worked 35 years in restaurant management and was currently employed by Osmar Corp. Weldon was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, and was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Mildredge Sandberg.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Sandberg of the home; sister, Penni Caughey of Houston, Texas; four nephews; and two nieces.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening at 6 at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro.

Hazel Scott
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Hazel Satterfield Scott, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007.
Hazel was born and raised in Swifton and was a 1943 graduate of Swifton High School.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Scott and wife, Barbara, of Mansfield, Mo., and Jeffery Scott and wife, Dana, of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters, Violene Rodgers and Fern Konkey; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Swifton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday until service time.
